PODS Moving & Storage

Description of Work: Not sure the date is exact but my in-laws were moving from Long Island to Augusta to live with us so we made arrangements for a POD to be dropped off at their home in NY. The NY folks were great, very professional and on time. However, when the pod was delivered here the driver told us that the paperwork said we had requested the opening of the pod toward the house. This was news and a suprise for us....we were never even asked!!! We immediately asked to have the opening away from the house before it was placed so we could unload it easily. The driver said he could do it but there would be a charge which we found out was over $200.00 extra to flip it around even though we asked him to make sure the opening and placement was easily accessible before it was put in place. We contacted the service here in Augusta and eventually got the owner who was adamant that nothing would be be done unless we paid the extra money (Interestingly, the truck was not even out of our sight and it would have been easy to switch around). Cudos for the guys in NY - they were great - but not so much for the Augusta crew and owner. Although it was difficult, we struggled through (going through the garden to get things out...) emptying the POD. It sure make "southern hospitality' pale against the NY folks and service they provided..

Description of Work: They come to you and they come to you again to pick it up. I have one of the big ones.
