Meetze Plumbing

Called Meetze about a burst water pipe that was spewing water over the lawn. They responded promptly (less than 45 minutes). They told me the cost of the repair ($435) and asked if I wanted a service agreement ($90). Service agreement includes a yearly inspection, priority service, and 10% discount on pricing. I agreed to both. While one individual set about repairing the broken valve, the other one inspected all water lines and the 2 water heaters. He found one pipe connection that showed a lot of corrosion and suggested I replace it now or in the near future before it broke. I had him fix it also ($200). $30 was deducted from total cost for either getting a service agreement or because I said I had gotten their name from Angie's List. The repairmen were very polite and upfront about all costs. I would highly recommend Meetze Plumbing.

They were punctual,friendly, and did a great job.

We tried to contact the company however, the rude lady answering the phone would not deliver the message to the technician to call us back. We tried several times and even our realtor called the company requesting the technician call us. As a result we will have to call someone else in to tell us what is wrong.

I have a contract with them, so I get a discount on any work that they do, and they didn't charge me for coming. They do a good job, they are punctual, polite, and they just do good work. I have been using them for years, so I don't know what other people charge, but it is reasonable especially with the contract.

The faucet works great and the work was completed and cleaned up in a timely manner.

plumber may be Copper pipe sheared off at brick facing when spigot was turned too forcefully by friend of homeowner, who was able to shut off water. Company employee who answered phone said a plumber would be available in approx. 3 hours. (In fairness to company, incident occurred on a Saturday morning). After 3 hours came and went with no word from company, a second call was made to inquire about potential arrival of plumber. Same employee answered phone but was much more vague, saying only that someone would be dispatched at some time that day. After 6 hours, plumber called to say he was on the way. Spigot and pipe were replaced without incident. Plumber was polite, professional and good humored.

Plumber was able to unclog after a few minutes. They will come back with a camera to see where the problem is. Quick and efficient!

The search for the leak was done methodiclally and professionally, no extra work was performed, but the two person crew worked from the simplest problems to the more complex one (a joint in the copper line and the hardware for the faucets that was stripped and needed to be replaced). Each step that made the job more expensive was checked in advance with us. ... and they appropriately allowed us to determine what work they did and what work they left for us to do. The crew left the site clean. They were very easy to work with and we have high confidence that the work was done well. They answered some related questions appropriately and with little extra fuss. On the other hand, the two person crew was on-site for less than 90 minutes and replaced a modest amount of hardware. The bill of seven hundred twenty-five dollars thus seems somewhat expensive (they're working off a price schedule created by the company so the responsibility for this rests with the owners). Their prices for other types of work seemed to us to be more consistent with the level of effort involved. On balance, we're very pleased with the work.

The technician was professional, thorough and courteous. He arrived on time and completely the repairs timely.

I called and they came the next day. The service crew was very knowledgable and easy to work with. I would use them again.

We were very happy and will continue to use them in the future.

Very easy to set up an appointment. Lee showed up on time and was courteous, competent, and very good to work with.

These guys were awesome. We had 80' of 4" pipe that had to be buried and the guys did a phenomenal job taking extra care of our lawn to ensure it looked as close to normal as possible before leaving. You simply cannot dig a 5' deep trench without injuring the grass, but they were diligent in making sure the sod was replaced and the work site was leveled before leaving. I was very impressed and appreciative of them taking care of my lawn as if it were there own. Fantastic guys!

Work was performed by two master plumbers. They arrived on time, provided an accurate estimate, and completed the work in less than an hour. They had all the parts needed to complete the job. They left the job site clean and the installation has worked fine. I have used Meetze for my plumbing for over 20 years and have been happy with the work each time.

We did not go with this plumber.

I love their overall service and honesty, They did have a couple of problems, sent somebody to tell me and fixed it. I appreciate that I have been able to find someone I trust. They are not perfect but they are better than others.

The two plumbers that came were very professional and got the job done in about 30 minutes. Left the area clean and made sure everything was working properly. Suggested running ice cubes through the disposal from time to time to keep the blades sharp. They said those units work for about five years.

When we got up in the morning, our shower wasn't draining and water was gurgling up in the toilet of the other bathroom, while my husband showered in his bathroom. We called Meetze Plumbing and they had someone here in 15 minutes. The clog was cleaned out in 5 minutes. Very satisfactory and courteous service.

They treated me very well. He even went out to get a hot water tank since they don’t allow their customers to go the weekend without hot water.

This is the third time we have had Lee Hagins, master plumber, do plumbing repairs at our house. He is fantastic! He is courteous, honest, and has a great work ethic as well as superb plumbing skills. On this job, he had Mac with him. I believe Mac must be a plumbing apprentice (with a great mentor). We were also pleased with Mac's work. All the work was done well and everything left clean and neat. We were pleased with the price and feel it is very fair. We will continue to call Meetze Plumbing and will always ask for Lee Hagins.

He told me it would usually cost $395.00 but he gave me a special price. I think their prices are way too high.

The replacement of the burst hot water heater pipe went well. The plumber was polite, confident in what he was doing and explained all the work as he went along. Meetze responded timely for the call was made around 5:30pm on a Friday. The plumber returned the next evening to check for any leaks.

Meetze was very professional, and handled all the details with the gas company. The work was done on time and as promised.

Jan 7, 2014 my home was one of thousands of Columbia area homes that suffered damaged from the record low temperatures. Thankfully I was home that afternoon and heard a running water sound and immediately started checking. In the master bath water was flowing from under the cabinet covering vinyl flooring and entering bedroom with carpeted flooring. Immediately I rushed outside and turned off the water, picked up shop vac on the way back in and start vacuuming water. It was late in the day and my regular plumber who worked full time with a state agency said he could not take on a job of that.magnitude at this time. The next morning I signed up for Angie's List and chose Irmo Plumbing based on his prior recommendations. Mr. Meetze said he could be at my home later that day. He arrived as promised and I was very pleased with his pleasant professional manner. I was interested in seeing what he had to do to reach pipe and also how my house was put together under the siding, and he did not mind me sitting several feet away watching and asking questions. As I said above, I was very pleased with his work and will call him again when needed, hopefully not for frozen pipes.

My wife was at home when they responded and here is her report: "The cost of services provided by this plumbing company were completely out of line with all other plumbers in this area. We felt cheated." Since then, we have heard this from many other people.
