When we signed our listing agreement on August 6th, Barrett said that he would mail a copy of the agreement the next day.We did not receive a copy and we had to call several times until we finally received the agreement on September 4th. Barrett placed the house on the MLS and he did nothing else to market the property. It took several calls and about two months until he put a property information sheet in the house. He refused to hold an open house, saying that interested buyers would call, not attend an open house. He said that he could not put signs on the street corners bacause they might be stolen. He said that a newspaper ad was not going to be effective.Barrett did not take any photos of the property, preferring to use the shots taken by our teenage daughter during cleaning and painting of the interior. Neighbors called us to refer their friends and Barrett took several days to return their calls. In short, Mason Barrett was not prepared to do anything to market the house. He was waiting for a chance sale based on the work of another agent. Avoid this agent.
