Jamie Long was incredible. She shares your enthusiasm and takes notice when you see things that you like. She helped negotiate our closing costs to zero cash paid out, and with the help of an inspector created a list of conditions in the house that needed work by the seller before we took occupancy. She is very resourceful and knows how the house buying game works, from financing and inspection to selecting a lawyer. Even though our sale is complete she continues to advocate for us and answer questions. Jamie is more than a realtor to me. She's a friend.

My agent, Toni Smith of Executive Partners Real Estate holds a broker's license and is very thorough in her evaluation of the buyer's needs, the market and the contract negotiations. Her diligence resulted in me not only getting the house, but it came with $12K equity.
Description of Work: Mary Booker Lemon, co-owner and broker at Keller Williams in Augusta, GA was the listing agent for the house I bought. We made our initial offer March 27, 2011 at which time Mary Lemon didn't mention that there was another entity involved. The seller accepted our offer of 185K and 3% closing costs via email, but then we couldn't get any more information. Then, we found out that the seller was involved with a relocation company that was moving him and his family to his new job in Charlotte, NC. They said to get the closing costs I would have to pay the full listing price. Come to find out they didn't have a signed contract with the seller to be legally involved in any negotiations until we were almost at closing. Mary never told the sellers, who were family members, by the way, that my agent had made appointments for anything. My agent did all the work, and Mary complained about having to pay the relocation company a finders fee. When the inspector was at the house for the inspection, the alarm went off and they met the chief of police. When I came down to look at the house myself, the alarm went off and the neighbor showed up with a loaded handgun and we met another police officer. When I went for the final walk through on April 28, the owners didn't know I was coming. The owners told me if I thought it was frustrating on my side of the table, that I should see how it felt from theirs. They won't use Mary Lemon if they ever move back to Augusta; they told me they would use my agent, Tony Smith. If you have to do business with Keller Williams in Augusta GA, make sure you have an experienced agent, preferably one who holds a broker's license.

The house was on the market for less than three months which was incredible given that we put in on the market in November of 2008.
Description of Work: She came to the house and gave us suggestions on what to do to get the house on the market and what to do in the yard. She kept an eye on the house while it was empty and took pictures while the gardens were at their best for their magazines. She gave us the right advice on what to do to get the house on the market.
