A large Sweet Gum tree was dropped on my hedges on Thursday before the forth of July. Mack was to return on the following Monday to remove the tree and drop an Oak tree that I was going to cut up for firewood. I made the mistake of paying him the full amount that day. As of July 17th I have not seen Jungle man. I have called several times and get a recording of the "mailbox is full". The few times I have gotten through Mack promises to be back in the morning. I Called him at Midnight last night and he said he would be back this morning. I have not seen him. DO NOT PAY THIS MAN UNTIL ALL WORK IS DONE!!!! Update: At 5:00 P.M. on the 17th of July Mack showed up with a helper and completed the work he started on July 3rd.
Description of Work: Mack was contracted to cut down two trees and remove one tree

he did a good job on tree work. Not real reliable as far as payment goes
Description of Work: He did tree work for the company I work for. He also stays at our hotel frequently. I think he does a good job , just make sure to get everything in writing and do not pay him until he finishes the job. He will try to get payment first then it is very diffucult to get him to finish the job.

I had several trees that needed to be taken down in my back yard. The Jungle Man gave a reasonable estimate but started wanted payment after taking down the first tree, which he just happened to drop on my deck. With each tree he cut down, some damage was done. With the last two trees to come down, he dropped on my slate patio and crushed the slate. When he brought his Bobcat into the back yard to start removing the branches, etc., the Bobcat had heavy track/tread (like on tanks) versus tires, which was completely tearing up the sod. When I stopped him, he said, "Lady, how do you think we're gonna get this outta here?" I told him I didn't care if he had to put it on his shoulders and carry it out, but he wasn't going to use that thing in my yard. We finally put down "my" plywood to remove the debris. He damaged two trees when he was dropping others and then actually asked me to pay for repairing the damage, which I refused to do. He kept pressuring me for balance of payment, and I told him he would get the money when the job was finished. There were branches from one tree hung up in an oak tree that was not coming down. I told him, in no uncertain terms, that he was not to use spikes to climb that tree to remove the branches. I went out later and found he had spiked the tree on the back side where it wouldn't be readily noticed. While he was doing the work at my house, he went to my neighbors to drum up more business. One of my neighbors, a young widow with four young boys, decided to let him do some clean-up work in her back yard. He knocked shingles and drain downspout off of her house in his rush to get the work finished so he could get paid. She had to run errands that day and left the youngest boys, ages 3 and 1, with a sitter. This guy went into a rage with the sitter and was using gutter language in front of the two boys. I went over to her house and told the sitter to take the boys in the house and had it out with the guy in the front yard. NEVER USE THIS GUY FOR ANY WORK!
Description of Work: Took down several trees in my back yard and did some clean-up and minor repairs for my neighbor
