My husband and I bought and closed on our new home on June 10, 2016. A new roof was purchased for $3830 and installed by the previous owner, David Brooks, on 8/22/14 (Contract # 16022). At 6 am on 7/17/16, a roof leak was discovered in our dining room. At this point, I called the only roofer available and he said he would come out Monday morning at 10 am to put a tarp down. The previous owner emailed me the documents from the installation, and I discovered Jones Roofing & Siding placed the roof. The warranty start date was 8/19/14 and end date is 8/18/16. On the contract, it states “this limited labor warranty is non-transferable. However, it may be transferred to new owners for a fee of $400.00.” At 2:14 pm, I called Jimmy Morris, the salesman for Jones Roofing, who said they couldn’t get anyone out to the house before Monday afternoon and to go ahead and have the other roofer come out and put the tarp down to prevent further damage. On 7/18/16 at 8:37 am, I called Jimmy who again told me to have the other roofing company put a tarp down, and said Jones’ owner would call me soon. Then at 12:49 pm, Mr. Jones called me and said he was busy and he wouldn’t be able to come out to the house until the next day. On 7/19/16 at 12 pm I still had not heard from Mr. Jones, and I gave him a call. He said he could come by the house right at that moment. At 12:25 pm, Mr. Jones met me at the house. He did not bother getting on the roof, nor told me what caused the leak. He told me he would get in touch later in the week and get a guy out to inspect the problem. He proceeded to provide multiple excuses as to this could not be fixed sooner. At 5 pm when I arrived home, the tarp had blown over and was no longer protecting the hole in the roof. There were storm clouds in the sky, and I called Jones roofing and was told I had to call the person who put the tarp on to come fix it. On 7/20/16 at 9:03 am I spoke w/ Jimmy on the phone, who said they were busy and could not come by. On 7/21/16 at 5:29 pm, I got a call from Mr. Jones. He said, “I needed to be patient.” I told him all I wanted was a TIME when someone could fix this. He said, “I can’t give you a time.” Mr. Jones then claimed the warranty is NOT transferable so it’s not his responsibility. I informed him what the warranty said. Mr. Jones replied, “that’s only if I want to accept the $400.” On 7/22/16, my husband arrived home to find Mr. Jones and two workers on our roof. They started claiming the guy that nailed the tarp down did a lot of damage to our roof. When my husband reminded him that it was HIS company that made us have another company put the tarp down when they refused to come out themselves, Jones claimed that the tarp was already down when we first called them. My husband let him know that was untrue and that we had documentation of every time we had spoken to them and what was discussed. At this point, Jones again tried to claim the warranty is non-transferable and claimed the transfer had to be done at closing. My husband corrected him. He then said they could fix the nail and tarp damage but it would look like tic-tac-toe on our roof from the road. He also asked if we wanted to pay the $400 to transfer the warranty, to which my husband said yes. Then he said the work would not even cost $400. My husband told him we wanted it done right, not a patch job that looked like tic-tac-toe. Jones said that even fixing it right wouldn’t cost $400. The owner then said they could do it Wednesday 7/27 at 5:30 AM and repair everything. No mention was made of the cause of the original leak. On 7/22/16 at 1:23 pm, my husband called and requested an invoice for the work. Jones claimed he would send one over ASAP. An invoice was FINALLY received on 7/26/16 at 12:52 pm. On the invoice, Mr. Jones was now claiming we would be charged $1500 + $35/sheet of plywood (60 sheets) so that would be $3354 + tax. He also informed us that no one would be by on Wednesday morning because they were too busy. All we want is for Jones Roofing to fix the roof in the original condition it should have been in for free since the roof is less than 2 years old and under warranty. We do not understand why they continue making excuses and keep canceling appointments. We wish they would stick to their word.

Did a great job--have used at several houses now and would recommend highly. Good competitive prices and did very good work.

We were very pleased with the end result. The only down side was that there was only one man on the install team and it took too long.

Mr. William Jones promptly answered our request for an estimate. He provided us a detailed explanation of the work to be performed and an estimate of the cost. We agreed and scheduled the time to be done. His workman arrived on time and finished on schedule. Not only was the work done very satisfactorily the area was cleaned up of construction debris. I would highly recommend his company to anyone.

It took almost a month and a half after the original agreement for the roofing to start. They were very busy because of the winter storm. Once scheduled, they arrived on time and completed the job in a day and a half. The cleanup was adequate but I did find quite a few roofing nails in yard over the next few weeks. There was a problem on the first hard rain where my sunroom meets the rest of the house. I had a leak which ran down an inside brick wall. Called them and they came and fixed the problem within a few days before the next rain. Have had no problems since. Overall, I was very happy with my experience with their workers and sales team. They gave the best quote and did what the agreement stated.

We had used this company before to have storm windows, siding, and gutters installed. Our neighbors had used them, so when we needed a quote to compare with Southern Siding, we called Mr. Jones. His price was far less than Southern Siding, for the same quality of product.

They did a fine job, but when I look back at it I think I could have had the entire roof replaced for that amount of money, never the less they match up the shingles exactly as the original . so for that i am grateful

Jimmy Morris was very responsive and professional as were the crew. He performed the work in a timely manner. The area was totally cleaned up when the job was completed. It has been almost a year since they worked at one of my units. I waited this long to give a writeup to assure there were no problems from rain and winter storms. I have 2 additional properties that require new roofing and I will certainly be using Jones roofing for those properties also.

They do a good job. They are the best in town.

Very prompt in giving me an estimate for the insurance company. Office staff were very helpful. Roofers were friendly and did a professional job. Looks great! Had used them several years ago and have been pleased with their work both times. Would recommend them as a professional company that is easy to work with.

Excellent work, and we are very happy with appearance. In spite of many homes with roof damage after ice storm, they fit us in and replaced the roof in one day. Area was cleaned up and any issues that we had were resolved immediately. Highly recommend them for roof repair or replacement.

Mr. Jones was the salesman and provided accurate and detailed information about the materials and installation. I had many questions and he answered them all satisfactorily. Once we agreed on price and materials I was a little worried about how the schedule would go. I was told i would get notified at least 2 days before any workers showed up. They lived up to that. BUT, they didn't call to let me know the material would be dropped off. Fortunatley, I was here when all the roofing shingles showed up and was able to tell them where to stack them so they wouldn't block my driveway. The roofing was installed first and was completed over 2 days. Installation and clean up were completed to my satisfaction. Next the siding guys showed up. This took about 9 days to complete. The installers were professional and did a good job. About three fourths of the way thru the siding work, the window installer arrived. He hadn't planned on installing all the windows in one day even though i had stipulated this and was promised it would be done that way. After a couple of phone calls, the issue was resolved to my satisfaction with Mr. Jones. The siding guys were pulled off working on the siding and assisted the window installer to get the work done in one day. After all was done, it was a quality job done pretty much on schedule. I would use these guys again.

An detailed and accurate estimate was made. The repairman came out on time and repaired the leak as well as sealed some other areas that could have become problems in the future.

Mr. Jones and his company came to our house and provided a free estimate to replace our roof. Due to several rain storms in our area this year, the start date was pushed back but we understood that you can not replace a roof when it is raining. Once his crew started the job, that took off all the old shingles, laid new matting and then new shingles. His crew did an excellent job in not only installing the roof but the clean-up each day when they finished for the day. We would recommend Jones roofing to anyone who needs to get roofing done. The only reason that we did not give them an A in our overall rating is that there is a very small piece of work that needed to be completed after they finished the job and we noticed when Mr. Jones came to inspect. He stated that he would have someone fix the small area near our gutter but after two attempts in contacting Mr. Jones they still have not come out to fix the issue. Other than that small detail my wife and I are/were very happy with the service we received from Jones roofing company.

We were pleased with the workers, and I thought their price was fair. We didn't have any problems with them. The gentleman comes by to check what was being done, but he didn't actually do the work. He have workers, and he come by regularly to see the progress.

Great efficient and timely . Crew did a great job, cleaned up work site satisfactory and all work was done exactly as written in contract. Will use again for future needs, very well satisfied.

Excellent communication. Prompt service. Great work. Due to the large number of homes that were damaged due to the storm it would have taken him a longer time to get to my place. Therefore, he provided me an option, to either pay to cover the roof or put that cost toward his other crew which had an opening in order to complete the repairs and prevent additional damage. He was able to complete my roof within schedule time. Work well with my insurance company. Awesome.

Called this provider for an estimate for a roof leak. I was told it would be dispatched out and I would receive a call in couple days from the estimator. Week later, I called again and was told they would put me on the list again. Never heard from anyone. I find this extremely unprofessional. If you are busy, you need to keep potential clients informed. Will never use nor recommend this company to others
