The company responded quickly to my request and their employee arrived on time. The employee checked the fixtures and fixtures. He removed old wiring caps and replaced them with new ones. He explained that there was no problem with the electrical lines themselves, but the fixtures would likely need to be replaced. Total time spent on the service was approximately 45-60 minutes. While the service itself was fine, I was a bit shocked to see the bill came to $200. At first I assumed this must be a standard electricians cost. However, I contracted a different electrician to replace two exterior, motion sensing lights at a rental property. His service was just as professional, but the bill only came to $125 including the two new fixtures. While Jones Electric does seem to be a competent company, I feel their prices are excessive. I do not plan on requesting their services in the future.
Description of Work: Performed electrical tests on two light fixtures and associated switches.

Kevin Jones came to the house to give an estimate. He took down all the info -- I wanted lots of little things done as described above. After visit to house, he emailed me a reasonable outlet. Then we scheduled work. Unfortunately, a worker broke his hand and he said it would be best to reschedule work so we did for week later. Kevin brought two guys to house. They stayed ALL day and did great work. Unfortunately , I missed one switch and they came back later to do that one after I told Kevin they put an outlet in where I had had a switch. It was no problem and I should have caught it while they were there. I would hire these guys any time. While at my house, I ask for an extra outlet for a microwave and they put in and Kevin ask if I thought $100 was fair for that and I did. They did so much work for a reasonable cost and worked with me who is new to this kind of work. I called one other company and they didn't even give me and estimate. Kevin and his workers, were neat, kind, and best of all the work is great.

Work included moving an outlet for an oven, adding two new outlets, replacing 5 outlets, putting in a new space/outlet for an overhead light and connecting it to switch, adding new switch, adding new hookups so we can add a dishwasher. This is all for kitchen work as a first step in redoing our kitchen.

They charged me a lot more than I actually paid. They wanted to charge me at least $230.00. I felt they did not know what they were doing. The guy who owns the company doesn't even do the work himself. He send other works out who I am not certain if they are qualified electricians. They had very little idea of what they were doing. I don't believe these guys had ever installed a ceiling fan in their life. They did not know anything about the manufacture. The one I had prior, only needed a new part. They left me in such a horrible situation, that I had to purchase a new ceiling fan for over $100 that I didn't like as well. They didn't want listen to my needs. They actually took two and a half hours which they charged me $90.00 for to read the fan instructions. They also made much more work for themselves then they had to. They also didn't give me any prices upfront. They are courteous and cleaned up, but what they charged me was well beyond what I wanted to spend. They also didn't have any knowledge of ceiling fans. They sent me to the wrong store to buy items. After the job was done, I wish I would have sent the part back to the manufacture to be replaced instead of wasting my time with this company. They actually put the dead part back into the new ceiling fan, which was of no value what so ever.
Description of Work: I asked them to diagnose my ceiling fan problem.

I called them one day and they were here the next day. It was well worth the price. He was quick and did the work well. The price was fair. He was a little late but that is the nature of the beast and it was fine. I will absolutely use him again and I will probably refer him to my sister.
Description of Work: I used Jones Electrical Service because the bulb had burned out on a barnyard light on the corner of the house and I didn't have any way to get to it. It was very old and the man came with a whole new light. It ended up that the whole light had burned out and if he had just brought the bulb it wouldn't have worked anyway. Apparently he had run into this problem before.

I paid $650 for the job. Everything was great. I have no complaints. They were very responsive. The work was done, when it was said it would be done and in the way it was to be done. Their price was very fair. I will use them again in the future.

They did a really good job. They were very prompt and cleaned up thoroughly everything. There was one complicated installation and it didn?t work immediately. They came back and fixed it. They worked outside the normal business hours and were very responsive.
