Frigidaire provided me the worst customer service ever, by any company, in any field, in my 48 years. I purchased an upright standalone freezer (model number FKCH17F7HWD). In July 2015 it stopped working. A local repair company came out and determined that the pipe sweats were improperly done and the Freon leaked out of the freezer. God only knows what the EPA would have to say about that. Regardless, the tech indicated that Frigidaire was a good company and I should contact them about getting it repaired or replaced. I did so? on call one. In this call I let the rep know that it was purchased in the last year or two but I could recall exactly when. She indicated that based on the serial number provided it was probably in 2012, but even so, because it was a Freon problem they would repair or replace regardless of warranty. I just needed to provide some proof of purchase. I asked her not to put in the estimated date of purchase; that instead I would call Best Buy to get a copy of the receipt. I did so right after the first tech and I spoke. They looked it up in the system and determined it was purchased on 25 Oct 2014. Call 2? I talk with a different tech of course. This one indicates that the previous tech did not do as I asked, and put their estimated purchase date of Nov 2012 in, despite my clear and specific request not to do so. She indicated that I would need to provide proof that it was purchased in 2014 now to get that date changed. I asked to speak with a supervisor. She disappeared for 5 minutes and then returned saying a supervisor couldn?t be found, but she?d contacted Best Buy and got a copy of the receipt dating the purchase at 2014. It would only take 2-4 working days for some supervisor to approve the change in date (recall the first tech said they?d repair or replace even if it was out of warranty because it was a Freon problem). Two weeks goes by with no word. I call back (Call 3). A third tech indicates that there is a note in their system, and that they didn?t like the receipt received from best buy. It apparently lacked a model number for the freezer, but it apparently did say the freezer was purchased in 2014. Be that as it may, they now refused to repair or replace because Best Buy?s receipt lacked a model number. I was livid, and again demanded to speak with a customer service supervisor or manager. Again the tech put me on hold for 5 minutes, and again, returned and indicated that no supervisor could be found. It was apparently Saturday and they don?t work on Saturday (note that the Frigidaire customer service contact hours are Monday through Saturday, 8 am to 8 pm EST, per their website.) Instead she would provide a proof of purchase letter and send that to me, presumably this would fix my problem. Three weeks goes by while I?m at Boy Scout summer camp with my boys. I return and find an email that states that I did buy a freezer, but they estimated that I purchased it in 2012 and therefore this is to certify that I have a proof of purchase in 2012, out of warranty. No information about repairing or replacing of course. Call 4 occurs? I get ahold of a 4th tech and go through the whole thing. After much back and forth she calls a supervisor and lo and behold a manager actually gets on the phone. Doesn?t sound like a manager? just sounds like another technician because she?s still reading to me. All the language is scripted. Sadly they can?t help me repair or replace since they believe it was purchased out of warranty? They say the receipt they have from Best Buy isn?t sufficient? no model number and no listing for a freezer (though the previous technicians indicated they?d seen the receipt with the freezer on it.) Pleasantly she suggests that I buy a new freezer or contact the repair man to get the old one fixed (can?t be done legally because this is Freon.) Seriously? So I say ignore the date of purchase? your first service rep said because it was a Freon leak due to poor pipe construction it would be replaced anyway. Her response? That must have been a miscommunication? I say no, it was pretty clear. Your techs note made clear that it was a Freon problem. You have her name with the notes. Manager?s response? ?Well, we?ll fix that internally?. But no, ?we won?t be able to assist you and suggest you contact the repair company and proceed with them.? The worst customer service, period. Never buy from Frigidaire if you think you might need to call them. And never buy this model of freezer because apparently it will leak Freon all over the place sometime between 6 and 24 mos after purchase. Lousy product, lousy service, lousy company. Anyone that works there should be ashamed. Col Brian O?Connell, USAF retired.

I had chosen a website to purchase the stove from based off of Consumer Reports. They have the worse instruction manual I have ever seen. After I took the oven door off to clean it, I could barely get the door back on. I finally was able to figure it out on my own. The stove-top is too flimsy to properly support the burners. Instead of being level, the pans all tilt toward the center. For example, if you are frying with oil, the oil all tilts to one side of the pan where our pans are of high quality and are not warped.
Description of Work: I own a Conventional Frigidaire electric stove.

I contacted them when I was having a lot of trouble with their microwaves. The company I was purchasing from gave me a couple new ones but they still didn't work. Frigidaire offered a 1 year warranty so I contacted them after the second microwave didn't work and they just bounced me back to the company I purchased from. Basically, I called them for help and they didn't do anything. I wasn't pleased with their customer service or how they handled the situation. I ended up getting a different brand of microwave finally because the model from Frigidaire just wouldn't work
Description of Work: I purchased a Frigidaire microwave through another company but it didn't work.

I pay a yearly fee for warranty service and whenever I have an issue they come out and fix it at no additional charge to me. If they can’t fix the issue, they will replace the part necessary. They are reliable and very good at what they do.

The freezer went bad, and the warranty had already expired. I contacted them about it. They were very kind. They authorized a repairman to come and fix it up, which he did. He not only paid for the part, but the label was free. I also got $75 for the food loss. I was very satisfied with the person that I spoke to from Frigidaire.

When the air conditioner broke, it was on extended warranty. They said they would replace the unit and then they denied saying that. I had to take it to one of their service providers for repair an they kept it for over a month. I am upset and suspicous that the air conditioner although repaired will hold up over time.
Description of Work: Purchased an air conditioiner from them.
