CUSTOM COUNTER TOPS

I had been searching for over 4 months for someone to replace my kitchen counters. I was disappointed with the high estimates I was receiving, I decided to read a book and try to install the counters myself. One of the counters to be replaced needed to be custom cut. the other counter only need a hole in it for the cook top. I purchased the cook top counter top from my local Lowe's. I was told they would be ready in one week and sure enough they were ready in one week. Jason (an employee) was reviewing my order to make sure we agreed the counter top was as I requested. Jason asked me who was going to install the counter top and I told him I was. His eyes got three times larger and asked if I had done this type work before. I told him I had not and then told him my plan. Jason offered to come after work and install that custom counter top. After watching Jason install my counter in a short time, I see why some estimates were on the high side. The process would have been more than I could have handled alone.
