I had a foundation repair specialist look at my home 2 years ago and he recommended that I get a structural engineer to inspect it first before repairing the brick fascia. The brick fascia needs to be pinned back to the frame of the house and the brick and mortar repaired. I live on a pond and have 11 or 12 piers under my foundation, 7 of which had to be adjusted a few years ago. There is some question as to how many more, if any, piers may be needed or if any need to be adjusted, or if the foundation is stable and if the additional shifting is due to the brick fascia pulling away from the frame of the home. I don't want to pay for the brick repair only to have it crack again. Hence, the need for a 3rd party to perform the inspection. I had already gone to Cranston's web page and was impressed with the company's profile when I read the earlier review. So, since the reviewer never used the company, I phoned them anyway. Mr. Cranford took my call right away and was very professional and friendly. He agreed that a structural engineer was needed and apologized about how there are not enough structural engineering firms in the area and that, while he does handle residential as well as commercial projects, he is presently scheduling several months in advance due to large bridge projects. So, he gave me the name and number of another engineering firm. That firm is scheduled several weeks in advance. Busy and booked, in my opinion, is a good thing. So, while I did not use this company, I wanted to at least add that they were very helpful pointing me in the right direction and might consider them in the future, if their services are needed.

I contacted Cranston Engineering Group to request an assessment of the structural condition of my home. The person who answered the phone said that Mr. Jim Cranford was in a meeting but that he would call me back shortly. Two days later I haven't received a call.
