Dustin recommeded a solution to our erosion problem. He provided a description and estimate of $850 minus a 10% military discount. My wife sketched it out and they both agreed on what was to be done. He required half up front to purchase materials. He said he was ordering a load of the large rocks for another job and requested we pay right away so our materials could be included in that order. We paid him, and called him two weeks later because we hadn't heard from him. He said he had been out of town and they'd begin work at the end of the week or maybe the beginning of the following week. We called him on Wednesday the following week a little ticked off. A worker showed up the next afternoon. He laid out the walkway with the trim material and it was a straight, four-foot wide path from the pool to the carport. But, the original plan was a widening path four feet wide at the top and twelve feet wide at the bottom carport end. My wife showed the installer the original drawing and description. My wife called Dustin and he said the original plan was a narrow path but he would do the widening path. The worker left to get more large rocks because the wide bottom required more materials. Then next day he returned with more rocks and he finshed the walkway. After the work was complete, my wife called to pay the final amount and remind Dustin of the military discount. He said with the discount it would only be $100 over the original $850 estimate. In the end, we paid $950 for what we thought would be $765. Without the military discount, the job would have cost $1045 - way, way too much. The path looks nice, but there's an 'empty' spot where there should be one of the large, flat, expensive stepping stone rocks. It's filled with the small river rocks that form the bed of the walkway. I'm going to buy a stone and install it myself.
Description of Work: I moved into a house with a small erosion problem in the back yard. There was a grass/dirt walkway about 18 feet long from the pool to the carport with about a five foot change in elevation. Dustin from Bulldawgs (the owner) provided an estimate and his helper installed a walkway consisting of a bed of river rocks with a number of large, flat rocks as stepping stones.

They gave me an estimate in a timely manner but scheduling the work to be done dragged out. I called 2 to 3 times a week for about a month. They gave a tentative time but because of various reasons never made the date. When the actual work was done, they warned they might have to damage one of the five azaleas around the tree to be removed. There was a under developed azalea I assumed would be the azalea to be sacrificed if needed. Instead the biggest (around 5 feet ) azalea in the front was destroyed and 3 of the other azaleas were damaged. My ring of azaleas was now a 30 degree semicircle of damaged plants. They did discount the bill, but the entire bed of 17 year old azaleas is now gone. I would advise anyone dealing with this company to take before pictures in case of similar damage.
Description of Work: I had had two previous trees removed and they were to remove a pine tree in the front yard. Tree was surrounded by a circle of azaleas but there was a 3 foot gap in the back of the bed in which to access the pine tree. There was a driveway next to the bed of azaleas.
