No phone call returned after a no show for a scheduled appointment. I'm not a hard person to please. They scheduled me. A simple return phone call would have saved an entire wasted day.

Description of Work: I called them on a weekend for an emergency (right before my house was to go on the market), and it turned out the problem was bigger than anticipated. I was told the appointment would be set up the next day and planned for Tuesday, but I never received a phone call. When I called about it on Tuesday, the receptionist was borderline rude to me. When they did finally come, they were late but did get the work done in a timely fashion. I've never used any other plumbing service, and this was the second time they had come to the house (the first time was more successful), but I think I will be branching out after this.

It went well, they worked hard and had the job completed in about an hour. They are very professional and kind. They take great care to be sure you have what you need when you need it. Other than being a little expensive I would say it was perfect !!

They refused to give me an itemized receipt that would include how much was for parts and how much for labor. I just wanted to know how much the units would cost and how much their labor they would estimate to use, and an estimate for materials. They said they couldn't break it down like that, which I found very frustrating. I have used them in the past and had no problem with the quality of their work, but I did not want to hire them for this work given the lack of an up front estimate. They are very customer-oriented and friendly, but that didn't help me with this job.

On April 1st at 9:49am an estimate was sent via email to customer with our standard estimating form. Customer called and asked for a breakdown of charges, this was emailed on April 2nd at 1:06pm. She also requested information on the type of equipment we were to install and a copy of the suppliers sheet was included. We are sorry the customer feels as she does.

I picked this company thinking they were old quality. I was mistaken. I won't use them again.
Description of Work: Hired to put new plumbing into bathroom remodel. After toilet put in, woke up the next day to a flooded downstairs wall from a bad connection. Asked for a laundry tub to be put in and the flexible laundry tub wasn't even attached to a back board first before attaching to the wall. To this day it feels wobbly and poorly installed.

It troubles us greatly anytime we learn that a customer has been unsatisfied with our work. Unfortunately the three year time span between when this work was done and when this review was given makes it difficult for us to go back and recollect all of the circumstances. Our records do indicate that we performed services for customer in March of 2010 for a total sum of $2295 which was paid at the time the work was completed. We are unsure if the customer gave us the opportunity to address her concerns with the quality of our work. If problems are brought to our attention we always do everything possible to resolve them to the satisfaction of our customers.

We have used Brittingham's for many years and will continue to do so into the future. Mr. Brittingham and his team have done excellent work on a variety of projects, both big and small. His price is fair and the job is completed as described. He also stands behind his work and has immediately returned when a repair didn't last.
