Description of Work: Moved from apartment to apartments.

Description of Work: I was in need of movers to put contents of home in pods. I met with owner and took him thru home tour and storage shelters. When I called him, I asked if they helped pack. He assured me that they helped pack. He gave me an estimate of $2000.00, and asked for 10% as down payment. I gave it to him, and the balance was to be paid at end of move. They came and were very fast at moving. They spent 4 hours moviing. He told me that the men were his nephews and they needed money to go to a wedding that week-end. He asked for $800.00 so that they could buy clothes for the wedding. I gave it to him. He asked me to hide the receipt and estimate papers from my kitchen counter, so that the men would not know how much he had made. I was very pleased with his speed. I bought their lunch and recommended them to POD owner. I was very happy with them. HE told me that he had done everything that he could do until I packed everything else. He called later to say that he would not be back until everything was packed and ready to go. When they came back, I learned that he had told my sister that he had not included my storage shed in the estimate. (We went out there and talked about the contents. he even asked for my ping-pong table as we toured the shed and they played on it for a good while. one of the nephews asked for my bike and I gave it to him.) I asked the nephews how the wedding went and they told me that they did not go, only their uncle had attended. (He had asked for $800.00 so that they could buy clothes to wear to the wedding). The owner, then told me that he would need more money to move the contents of my storage unit. Even though we had toured outside, and he knew that I was putting everything in pods. He was dishonest with his nephews about how much he was getting paid(his privlidge).He had lied to me about why he wanted more money before move was completed, and then he wanted to go up on estimate price by telling me that he would need more money to complete move. The owner of pod informed me that someone had called with pod # and asked for access on the 2nd day. He called me to make sure that I already needed to get into pods. I did not, and he told me that someone had called with numbers of the pods and wanted access to them. This is very,very, worrisome to me. I was livid that he pretended to not know that the contents of storage area was to be moved. He only wanted tell me that the price had gone up. He had a scene in front of his workers and told me in loud voice that he knew that I would be trouble from the start. This, I believe was just a show to lead them to believe that I had not paid him, so that he could rip his nephews off.

Description of Work: Robert and crew can up as arranged, loaded our furniture and then drove to our new home and unloaded everything. They are very careful with your belongings. This is the second time we used them, the first being when we moved across several states and just had them unload us. We are getting ready to relocate again and will give Robert a call. He actually answers his cell phone, meets you and gives you an accurate bill...no financial surprise here! Highly recommended.
