Mike Day and Coby arrived as scheduled, performed competently and professionally on bracing our 2 forked pine trees and removing dead and live limbs so more sun could reach our garden. They worked as a team with no wasted motion for the 4 hours they were at our property. Mike was the lead, climbing the 2 forked pine trees which needed cabling and bracing while Coby prepared the hardware required for the bracing. The 3rd pine was Coby's to climb which required pruning. Coby was relatively new and Mike was very helpful in providing advice to Coby on how to rig their ropes to lower the larger limbs (I complimented him on his management skills). Mike was particularly mindful of protecting our Bluebird house from the lowered limbs. On the conclusion of the job, our yard was cleared of all the limbs and our driveway swept of the debris after the limbs were chipped. The one, very small negative, was a garden spot light that was destroyed in the limb lowering process, not enough to reduce this rating at all. We have used Bartlett in the past, and this crews performance is typical, a praise to the company's management.

From beginning to the end the crew was professional, neat, and did all that I wanted them to do. I used them in the past and will continue to use them as the need arises. Would recommend.

Justin showed up as scheduled, however, we had him come to provide us an estimate in February, which he said he would email that day, and we still have not received it. I have called the office and spoken with the receptionist several times to request the information, and she was very polite and apologized for the inconvenience. She said that she would contact the person who came to our property to get us the estimate, but it never came. It's now 2 months out from the initial visit and we are going with someone else, because of this. It's unfortunate, because the reputation for quality of work in the community is good, but I have heard or read this complaint several times.

I just wish they were a little more responsive.

Bartlett's did a really good job in thinning several trees in my yard. The trees were medium-sized and I wanted them cut away from my house and just generally shaped so they were not so thick. The three workers were there on time and were professional, neat, and the foreman was exceptionally polite and good. They cleaned everything up afterwards very well. I even got a thank you note in the mail a week after the work was done. There was some discrepancy in my expectations and what was shown on the actual work order brought to the site by the foreman. I spoke to the foreman to work it out and he did try to accommodate my expectations. But he showed me the work order that he had received from the estimator and some of the work that I expected to have done was not explicitly stated in the work order. For instance, one tree had specific work listed for it but the second one did not - when I signed the estimate, I assumed that the description shown for the work was for all the trees, not just one. So there was a problem but I have to say the foreman did try to work with me. I thought the cost was high for what they did and considering the amount of time they spent on site (90 minutes from the time they pulled up until the time they left the site). But I chose Bartlett because they were one of the few companies that had a staff arborist and I wanted the trees carefully trimmed so they would not be damaged. Although looking back, I don't even know if an arborist was there to supervise the work. Lesson learned for me: Next time review the estimate and description of work CAREFULLY and make sure it clearly states EXACTLY what the expectations are for work being done. I would probably use Bartlett's again but I think I'd get a few more estimates first. I'd also be more careful about making sure that the work I wanted done was clearly spelled out in the estimate and work order. I think this would be true with any service provider. But this was my first time coordinating work of this type so it was just something I will need to remember for the future. I'm rating Bartlett's as excellent because they did work with me, were very professional, and did a good job. In my opinion though, the amount I paid was pretty high for what I got.

If they didnt want the jib, they should have said it. Not answering the phone ir not showing up is no way to run a business.

The crew arrived on time, were courteous and very professional. The crew chief surveyed the trees and reviewed the work order with me prior to getting started. He then gave instructions to the crew, and they all went right to work. The crew has a high regard for safety and teamwork. I was impressed with the high level of care they took to ensure that my fence and lawn were not damaged during the removal/pruning process. They removed all the tree debris, raked and blew down my front and back yard. I am very pleased and will definitely use Bartlett's Tree Service in the future.

The telephone was answered by a real person when I called to set up an appointment. Paul Sisk came out and we went over the scope of what needed to be done. We agreed on a price and set a date to do the work. A three man crew came out, very professional and very hard working! Good looking equipment (bucket truck and chipper). Cleaned up the site and really did a good job. Overall I am VERY pleased with the price of the job and the way it was completed. I will use them again for future work! I highly recommend them!

Honest and reliable. They were prompt and courteous in all communications. They explained to us what could and couldn't be done to save, or not save, our trees from the devastating ice storm damage. We were glad we called them before having our two favorite trees cut. We will be calling them for yearly inspections.

For the most part, we were pleased with Bartlett. They are very professional and did quality work. There were a couple of issues we needed to have fixed. They cut a large tree down, but left the stump high enough to be seen over the fence. We requested they come out again and cut it lower. They agreed to do that, but never came back out. Similar experience with a few limbs we needed removed but were not removed, they said they would comeback and do it, but never did. In their defense the ice storm came in a few weeks after the service, which kept them very busy, but at the end of the day if you tell me you are going to do something I expect it to be done. I still rate them a B Overall, as the majority of the work they did was great.

I had damage to 4 trees and several after a recent ice storm. I called Bartlett and asked to have someone one come by and talk to me about the damaged trees. My goal was to save the trees?not cut them down. Nick arrived on time for my appointment and I started the conversation that I wanted to save all the trees. He said?that is what we do. And they did. All the damage was taken care of as well as installing a cable between two limbs to provide support to the upper canopy to aid in the new growth. I would not hesitate to call them again if the need arises or recommend to a friend.

It went alright - as mentioned above delay was due to equipment availability - and temporary problem of communications.

They came early on a cold and rainy day with a very large crane and four men plus truck and chipper. The crane operator positioned his crane on our lawn to take down both magnolias. The men placed protective mats under the crane to minimize damage to the lawn and approximately four hours later, the magnolias and debris were gone. The lawn was left in amazingly good condition considering having very wet weather and all. After completing that phase, they trimmed away all broken limbs and damage from the remaining trees on the property. By 4:00 pm they had raked and blown all of our driveway and pathways plus smoothing over the gouges left by the crane on the gravel driveway. This crew happened to be sent down here from Conn. by Bartlett to handle the extra work from the PAX storm. I was very impressed with their work and totally professional attitude and skill. This is not the first time we have used Bartlett. In 2008, we had them remove a very large sycamore. The company ( Empire Tree ) had just been purchased by Bartlett and we were extremely impressed with the work done then. All-in-all; the old adage, you get what you pay for, still rings true. I would not hesitate to recommend Bartlett to anyone.

The diseased maple tree was able to be saved for an additional two years, thanks to the treatment. Bartlett continues to service our beautiful Chinese Maple twice a year.

Significantly more expensive than the provider I had contracted with previously. However, my trees had become infected under that provider's care. Will not know until next spring if the advice and treatments provided by Bartlett prove effective - or not. I certainly hope so, at their prices.

They have been wonderful to work with. I have two dogs, they call me before they come so I am aware of it in case I am out of the house. They always blow the walkways when they finished. We have been very happy with their service.

They are really a good company to work with. They are always very nice and professional. They bill me through the mail and I think their pricing is reasonable. I have worked with two different representatives there, Joe Lowery and Ian Campell.

I had three recently ( 8 months) planted trees, an Okame Cherry and three Japanese Maples, that were struggling. I consulted Bartlett and their representative met with me that same week. He evaluated the trees, gave prognosis and recommendations. Over several months the trees were treated even though the prognosis was poor. Two of the Japanese Maples did not flourish and had to be replaced. The Cherry and one Maple has done well. The October treatment is an ongoing program. The fertilizer is mixed with water and injected under low pressure directly into the root zone. All representatives have been courteous, helpful, and professional. I plan to continue using Bartlett to protect our investment in these trees.

The work took about 2-1/2 hours. They cleaned up the entire area of a huge amount of debris and when they left we couldn't even tell they were there. Great job by an excellent company with great people.

Bartlett Tree Experts are truly that. I was happy to know that the members of their crew are all certified arborists. The people who talked with me about the job and all of the crew were knowledgeable,did their jobs professionally with excellent results. I would recommend them above other companies in the area. I plan to continue having them treat the camelias for scale and to fertilize them when needed. Their was no debris left in the yard when they finished, and they responded when I asked them about the treatment of the pyracantha stumps. While they were here, they worked constantly. There was no interruption of my daily routine. The cost quoted above was for the initial job of taking down and pruning trees. There was an additional cost for fertilizer and three treatments at $175 per treatment. I don't have those costs at hand, but it's too close to Christmas to search for them. I was a little surprised at the cost of the fertilizer and scale treatment, but I believe that was my fault for not inquiring specifically about that, though the company could improve on that by having those costs written down along wisth the cost for treatments. I still think they're the best despite that little snag. (Feeling guilty here. I might just have overlooked that info, but I don't think so.)

Perfect! No mess, no bother, told to water yard if no rain in 48 hours. Left a note regarding the service, state of the lawn and recommendations (none) if there had been a problem. Professional, neat, timely.

Extremely well. This job involved extremely large and heavy tree removal in the middle of a mature azalea bed and very close to my home with no driveway or roadway close. They performed the work on time and with NO damage to the house, the lawn, or the azalea bed. Impressive!
