Augusta Carpet Cleaning

My wife obtained the services of Augusta Carpet through a Groupon coupon. After numerous calls for them to honor their commitment, then finally showed up to clean our carpet. The first indication that this was not going to go well was them telling us that they couldn't honor the Groupon price. We relented and agreed to pay their price since we had waited for several months for them to appear. The young man who came to clean to carpet then asked my wife if he could pull on to our yard to drag out their hoses through our front door. She stated that the front yard was a bit wet due to recent rains - he assured her that he does this sort of thing all the time. She told him, well, okay, if you know what you're doing. He pulled into our front yard and immediately became hopelessly stuck. He was only able to get his vehicle out by calling for another vehicle from his company to come pull him out. The young man stated that he would personally see that our yard would be repaired. This was the last time we him or any representative of Augusta Carpet. I called Augusta Carpet three times, leaving messages twice. One time I spoke with a female supervisor and asked that she have the owner call me back to no avail. We did file a report with the Better Business Bureau and never heard anything from that either. Our front yard was a disaster. There were several deep ruts and damage to our sprinkler system. It cost me about $350 to have the yard and sprinkler system repaired. On top of all of that, the carpet cleaning was substandard - after the carpet dried, it looked worse than it did before. Avoid this company! After all was said and done because of the mess they made, they honored the Groupon price and waived the extra $50 they were going to charge us.

I actually went through Living Social to get a deal through them. It was supposed to be 2000 square feet of carpet and 2000 square feet of tile for a total of like 118 dollars. I paid super prices. Which obviously they had agreed upon with living social for that price. They sent one guy out here to do the job. He said oh it was too much for him. He said he thought they made a mistake. Basically they reneged on their deal initially. Then they said we will go ahead and do it and make an appointment to sent out two guys. They rescheduled it three times. They said their equipment broke and in the end they said they were going to refund me my money. The guy who came out to clean my carpet he also broke one of my picture frames off the wall.
