AFFORDABLE TREE SVC

Description of Work: Trimmed four large and long limbs off an oak tree in front of my house.

Description of Work: Johnson Hodge, company owner, came to my house and provided an estimate for the trees I wanted removed and trimmed. I thought the estimate was reasonable, and he was available to start the job the next day. He came the following day with a helper and they proceeded to cut down one tree completely and lopped several branches off of one side of another tree. In the process, a limb fell and crushed a section of our chain link fence. He did not report it to me, just tried to bend it back into shape and left it. I paid 1/2 off the agreed upon total that day, and he said he would come back the next day to finish. In addition to the smashed fence, we were left with a 40ft pine tree chopped up and laying all over the yard plus the limbs from the other tree. He did not show up the following day or several days after. I called numerous times and left messages requesting that they come back and finish the job. About 3-4 weeks later, they returned without notice while we were at work and cut down the majority of a 50ft pine tree on the other side of the yard. Again, the debris was left all over the yard. He never came back again and never responded to my calls. My son and I cleaned up and burned the branches and borrowed a chainsaw to cut down the trunk as much as possible after waiting a few weeks to see if he would show up again. We are now left with stumps that need to be ground down, 6 trees that were never trimmed, and a tree that has several branches chopped off here and there where he started the process of removal. In addition to the money we paid him, we also spent the majority of 3 weekends cleaning up his mess and will need to hire someone else to complete the job. Do not waste your time and money dealing with this company.
