The work was completed in a professional manner and for a fair price. The crews were respectful of existing landscape and left a very light footprint considering the amount of heavy equipment needed for these jobs. The plant stock delivered were top notch. We would definitely use them again for future projects.
Description of Work: This was a large project. Remove 30+ large pines, many perilously close to the house. Fortunately, this was finished just before the strong winds from Irma hit. After a weeks delay due to power outages and road closures in the county, Keith and his crew got back on schedule and did a really great job. Planted 30+ new azaleas, replaced a rangy privet hedge with new ligustrum, reworked irrigation to provide 2 new drip system for plantings, removed and replaced a RR tie bulkhead and steps, filled several sinkholes (3 dump trucks worth) and regraded and over-seeded, installed new drainage improvements.

I am very pleased with their work. The quality is very high; and the crew that built the patios and repaired the lake wall erosion worked diligently and conducted themselves professionally. Every visitor to my home offers unsolicited compliments about the patios. Next year, I plan to have Wilson Bros. replace the pavers and patio near my dock.
Description of Work: Wilson Bros. Landscape installed dry creek bed drainage, a patio and rock under my deck, and a fire pit and patio at my lake house. They also filled in erosion along my lake wall.

Wilson Bros. worked with me to provide a quote that excluded some materials that I had from previous work I had done on the home. Before providing the quote they sent someone to my home to access the usability of the materials I had from a previous job. They are the only company that was willing to go this far to get the business. Others just wanted to use all new materials. On the day of installation, they sent a crew of hardworking and professional employees who had the tools to complete the job efficiently and with high quality. I highly recommend Wilson Bros. to those looking for a company that provides quality, timely, and reasonably priced landscaping.

The design and installation went great! My only complaint is that the mulch coverage was a little thin. Would have liked it a little thicker. In some areas you can still see the ground through the mulch.

JC had his crew here on time day off. There crew leader Valentino was positive. ready to work. and I believe if asked would relocate Stone Mountain if asked. His attitude filtered down to his entire crew. We are always cautious when spending dollars, but are completely satisfied with the work done and the crew, including JC the estimator that Wilson Bros. Landscape provided. You get what you pay for but in this case I feel my wife and I got more than we paid for. I've been a construction professional in Atlanta since 1987 with an Employee Owned Company, I feel Wilson Bros. treated us the way my Company always strived to treat our customers.

I contacted Wilson Bros Landscape for an estimate. Donnie Brooks came to my house and viewed the area. Donnie emailed me an estimate right away, I accepted and we set the date. My back yard was graded, a big truck load of dirt was spread and leveled with their machinery. Then the Bermuda sod was laid. WONDERFUL!!! I also had a place in my front yard with a bad area due to a tree that was cut down a few years ago. Old roots were cut out, dirt filled in and sod was laid. WONDERFUL!!! Everything was cleaned up after the work was completed. A BIG THANK YOU TO DONNIE BROOKS AND ALL OF THE TEAM!!! I will definitely contact Wilson Bros Landscaping in the future.

From the first contact with Brian Wilson, everything about our experience with Wilson Bros was A+. We spoke with 5 separate companies about our backyard renovation -- we are still in the process of the complete renovation, so I will refrain from writing about the landscaping work (which Wilson Bros will do) until it's done. But of the 5 companies, Brian was the quickest to respond, came out within a week of contact for an initial contact and gave us extremely reasonable quotes, especially in comparison to the other companies. This was our first experience with a project of this size, and to be honest, most of the other companies seemed intent on pushing the absolute most expensive options regardless of whether a.) they fit into our pre-stated budge (spoiler alert: they didn't!) or b.) we actually even wanted the options they were suggesting. Brian actually listened to us and what we wanted, and he worked with us in the context of our budget. When we decided we wanted to do a little more, he was flexible and provided prompt updates on quote, as well as renderings of what the project would look like. Communication was extremely easy. Ultimately, we decided to have the following things done: installation of a dry creek bed to help with our significant drainage issues, removal of a decaying wood deck with a stone patio, building of a roofed pavilion over part of the patio, replacement of a section of our retaining wall that was warping, replacement of a fence gate that was essentially non-functional. So -- a lot! When it came time for the project to start, Brian's guys came in and literally hit the ground running. I wish I could give every single member of the crew a shout out on here, but specifically, the crew chiefs for the pavilion (Ronnie and Bardo) and the patio (Valentine and Josh) were fantastic. They were happy to answer any off-the-cuff questions I had, and I felt totally comfortable having them in and around my house for the time of the construction. The work was done in an extremely timely manner, and any unexpected hiccups were addressed immediately by Brian and his team. When everything was done, we had a couple of additionally concerns about a few things and the crew came out within days to address those as well. IN SHORT: Wilson Bros, and Brian Wilson specifically, are excellent. I would (and have) highly recommend them for any project, small or large, and I look forward to working with them again in the future!

If I could give Wilson Brothers an A+ grade, I would do it. This is a company that believes in quality work and customer satisfaction. The retaining wall and patio they constructed for my new fire pit surpassed my dreams and vision; they paid close attention to all the important details (leveling; drainage; quality appearance). The wall and patio were constructed into the side of a hill; so the downhill slope made the work challenging. Every friend and family member who has seen the wall/patio/fire pit is amazed by the quality and appearance. The crew arrived on time; and those gentlemen were focused and worked hard from the moment they arrived until they departed (and they cleaned up their work area too). Similarly, the gentlemen who constructed the dry creek bed drainage did a fantastic job. The area where the creek bed was constructed presented several challenges (e.g., inconvenient access to the area where the work was performed; downhill slope; large, old tree stump that had to be removed; not to mention Georgia clay). I am very impressed by Wilson Bros. Landscape. I plan to use them again later this year for my Phase II project.
Description of Work: I needed to: (1) Add dry creek bed drainage to prevent future water intrusion under my deck, and (2) Construct a nice patio and fire pit within 25 feet of the lake.

Brian was very responsive to us, from our first contact with him. We messaged him via Angie's list and he responded the same day, came out to our house within a week, and had us a design we agreed on within a couple of weeks. We started the entire process with Wilson Brothers on November 15; and the project was completed by Tuesday, December 20. We unfortunately had to remove a 38"+ black walnut from our front yard that died due to the general contractor destroying its' root system during construction of our new home; this landscaping project was to regrade and plant the front yard in the area where the tree was removed. The wall blends in well with the steep grade of the property and when the landscaping matures we anticipate it will look good where it is located. The crew that worked on the project was out during the very cold week here in Atlanta. We did have a couple instances where their equipment tripped the electrical breaker on our exterior outlet but they quickly informed us of this and were back to work. The predominant cost of the project was in the construction of the brick retaining wall. Overall the cost was very competitive.

WE LOVE WILSON BROS LANDSCAPE!!!! We had an over 20 years old wood retaining wall which was buckling and falling down. So, we decided to replaced with landscape stones and in process wanted to excavate couple feet more to give us additional driveway space (we are also redoing our driveway after the retaining wall is installed). We interviewed several companies and decided to go with Wilson Bros based based on timely responsiveness of Brian and his vision of how the job should be conducted, competitive pricing (they were not the cheapest or the most expensive), and Angie's list overall excellent rating. Unfortunately, during the removal of the old wall and excavation, we found that there were lots of granite and cement embedded in the ground and also that there was a sewer line and foundation for our neighbor's house behind the old retaining wall. They also found electrical wires which was cut. Despite these problems, THEY HANDLED IT. Brian called the utilities companies to make sure that nothing was dangerous (it was a dead electrical wire), and they extended the width of our driveway as much as possible without damaging any foundation or sewer lines while keeping the aesthetics of the wall intact. Their crew was polite and friendly, and each day, they left the job site clean. Also, Brian's crew filled the back of the wall with a lining (to make doubly sure that dirt won't come through) and filled the entire back of the wall with gravel (rather than only a small portion as many companies wanted to do). Wilson Bros. was the only company that recommended additional drainage pipes to come through the bottom of the walls in additional to the long drainage pipe in the back of the wall for better drainage. They had to cut lot of stones to line up around each of these drainage pipe and to match evenly around the curves and one stone had corner chipped but they matched the other stone to make it look uniform. There may be many companies that can build a retaining wall. However, I venture to say that not many companies can deliver a beautifully finished product when there are unforeseen problems during the job. It look 1 more day than Brian estimated, excavating was extremely difficult due to rocky and cemented soil from previous home builders, and finally there were unexpected utility (sewer and dead electrical) lines. Despite these difficulties, they delivered a beautifully constructed retaining wall for the promised cost, and throughout it all, they were pleasant and kept us informed of everything. Thank you so much for a job well done!

I feel I was totally mislead. Wilson Bros sent out a field supervisor, Donny Brooks, to look at the work and provide me with an estimate. I was quoted $950 for a minimum of 8 labor hours to install sod for my front yard. Since it was a minimum of 8 hours and my yard was small, we agreed to have them do the side and back for me as well. I was told that the sod was going to be guaranteed for 6 months. I needed to get this done right away because I was going to have surgery and I wanted to give sod time to water and set. We agreed that they would come out the following Tuesday and the field supervisor told me that we would be on the job. On Tuesday they were supposed to be there at 10am. At 9:30am he tells me that there isn’t any sod because Donny forgot to order it. Since there wasn’t any sod, I was going to go to their nursery and get shrubbery. When we left the nursery they came to prep the yard and he told me that he can come out tomorrow. The workers came out the next day without a supervisor. (I didn’t want the workers there without a supervisor). The young men didn’t know how to properly lay sod. The square pieces were not being placed next to each other leaving strips between each piece of sod. Additionally when they tried to plant the shrubs, they didn’t plant it in the soil. Bottom line is they didn’t know what they were doing. They didn’t till my yard, because they said they didn’t have a tiller, they would have had to rent it. I found out that the workers didn’t actually work for Wilson Brothers, they contracted out. When they were finished with my yard, I though they did a good job and went back and fixed the sod but I found out they didn’t. Furthermore I found that they lost pieces to my landscaping lights. I called Wilson Brothers and asked them to come out and fix the work and they ended up standing me up for 3 days before my surgery. Someone from Wilson Brothers ended up coming to my house, unannounced. They didn’t ring the doorbell, they just left the sod on the back gate for days. I have made several attempts to resolve this issue but they have not made any attempt to reach back out to me to resolve this. I have called them and email them trying to get them to come out to fix the work. I stopped payment on the check in hopes that that would get their attention and call me back however I haven’t heard a thing from them. On the invoice it states that they guarantee their work.

Response from Wilson Bros Landscape
Sorry to hear about your experience with Wilson Bros. We feel that we went above and beyond what was asked of our company and this review comes as a surprise. In addition to installing the contracted sod we planted 35 plants that were purchased from Lowe's and gave you an additional $250 discount that you asked for since the sod farm shipped the sod a day late. We even scheduled an appointment to bring you 6 more pieces for another area you wanted sod that was above the contracted amount. Upon arrival for our 9 am appointment no one was at the house to open the gate so we left the sod for you so it wouldn't go to waste. We received payment for completed work but before we had a chance to deposit the check it had been cancelled. We have tried to contact you multiple times to inquire about the cancelled check with no response. We are more than willing to help with your concerns and will stand true to our guarantee policy as long as our relationship remains in good standing. Feel free to contact me at any time to resolve the issues. Thank you, Brian Wilson

Brian Wilson came out for an initial estimate and was able to offer solutions for a tricky back yard that other landscapers weren't willing to tackle. Our back yard is complete shade, and we have a large dog that was constantly bringing mud into the house due to drainage issues that couldn't be corrected by growing grass or ground cover. Wilson Bros Landscaping not only addressed our water issue by adding a beautiful retaining wall and pea gravel to stop water flow toward our house, but they did a wonderful job of replacing a dilapidated fence and regrading certain areas to control other water flow issues. We are pleased with both the functionality and aesthetic of what was once a muddy, ugly backyard. Our front yard needed small trees removed to add more sunlight to enable sod growth - those trees were removed, stumps were ground, and sod was laid to add curb appeal. Wilson Bros also used our existing mulch to create new flower beds. We loved their shrub/plant selections and are extremely pleased with the result. Brian's crews are respectful and professional. I am a homemaker, so I observed their work ethic and can say they are very efficient. I was also very pleased that Brian came out several times to ensure that all projects were going to plan, and he came for a final walkthrough to make sure the project was done correctly, that I was 100% satisfied, and to answer all of my questions. Brian was also willing to work within our budget to give us the yard we were looking for, and we felt like his pricing was very fair. I highly recommend Wilson Bros Landscaping.
Description of Work: Front yard: Removed three trees in front yard, laid ~1400 sq ft. of sod, moved existing mulch and recreated front beds for curb appeal, planted new shrubs and flowers Back yard: Built retaining wall, added pea gravel and stone, corrected water drainage issues, removed brush, replaced small fence, sprayed weeds, laid pine straw
