I am now in more pain than when I started and in more places. I wish I could go back and either not do the procedures or go to another provider. In addition to being in pain, I have was also billed more than I was quoted, but they won't stand by the original quote. Now I am stuck with a big bill and painful legs. In addition, the office is difficult to get in touch with. You have to call their national number and leave a message for the individual office, which I did twice. Once I waited five business days without a call back. I finally called back and complained and was able to get someone to call me back. This happened again weeks later. This time I gave up waiting after three days. Same deal. I called and complained and finally got to speak to someone. Not a professional way to treat patients. I think this business is more focused on making money than on patient care. Please learn from my experience and go elsewhere. I only wish I had heeded the advice of the other member who left a review here.

Everything from now on was handled by a nurse. I got six treatments in both legs and every time my legs got worse. The unbearable pain is not going away and keeps me from sleeping at night. In addition I have large bruises all over my legs. I can never wear shorts again. The clinic refused to fix the problem and stopped communication with me. They send me a check with the ammount of money I paid them and just let me live with the pain. I should have sued them. Another vein doctor told me that they should never have continued to inject my legs.
Description of Work: I had only a few spider veins on both legs. I made an appointment and was seen by a doctor. He dicided on a treatment that will take care of the spider veins. That was the only time I have seen by a doctor in that office.

I have never felt so ripped off in my life. I had a 4-5 small, faint spider veins that I wanted removed. Although they were tiny, they bugged me. Dr. Ferrier diagnosed me with "mild vein disease" and estimated that 2-3 treatments per leg (4-6 treatments total) would be required. The NURSE would perform the treatments. Each treatment is for one half leg and costs about $400. So to treat both legs once costs $1600. In my opinion, THIS PRICE IS OUTRAGEOUS. But I fell for the sales pitch and the promises. I was offered a 20% discount and took it. 8 treatments later, my veins are now darker and new dark veins have appeared on my thighs. I asked the doctor why with 8 treatments my legs look worse. He suggested more treatments. I brought up the 2-3 treatment per leg estimate. He replied that he "estimated on the low side otherwise [I] wouldn't have gone through with the treatments." He's right. I wouldn't have. I wish he would have told me the truth. I wish he had told me of the risks. I wasted a semester's tuition. The nurse performs the treatments. She seems abrasive and does not seem to care about your opinion of your appearance. She acted like my legs were just horrible, even though I told her that I'm 99% fine with them and just to work on the areas I discussed with the doctor. She seemed to do what she wanted and even treated the thigh that I did not want treated in the first place. She said that it was necessary or in 15+ years or after a pregnancy, the veins would be uncontrollable. Necessary? This is a cosmetic procedure. My opinion of my own looks should matter. If I do not want something performed, do not sneak up on me and start injecting my legs while I lie paralyzed with confusion. It is very difficult for a person to question a medical professional, so I did not at that time. There seems to be an automatic trust that is hard to turn off. She seems quite obsessive about finding every vein within a 1 ft of the skin's surface and injecting it, with the risk of making it and surrounding vessels more visible. She has admitted to me that she looks in the mirror to find veins on herself to inject. That's just weird, in my opinion. When I got a blood clot in my leg, which is potentially life threatening, the doctor dismissed my concern and did not offer to make an appointment to see me. I called Vein Clinics HQ in Chicago. The representative could not do anything but recommend I see the doctor again. This was when I called it quits. Vein Clinics operates like a hybrid of a fast food chain and a fly-by-night operation.
