It went really well. But unfortunately the new software system did not find a record for me and they did not show up for our scheduled appointment. However, when the error was discovered, they sent someone out to me within the hour. The guys were very good. They were a little slow and had some difficulty with finding my home, but they did whatever I asked of them. The move did take all day, which was longer than I had anticipated.
Description of Work: They moved me to a new city.

I'm pasting below the same review as I provided to the Two Men and a Truck company. I would highly recommend them again: Comments: I cannot offer enough complementary comments about everyone I dealt with. Movers, packers, and sales/office were all professional, courteous, communicative, and respectful. They were knowledgeable about all the aspects of moving. I went into this move with trepidation because I had an interstate professional move before and things occurred I wasn't satisfied with; but I have been extremely pleased this time, working with Two Men and a Truck. If you are wondering why I did not buy boxes, it's not a result of a negative with your company. I had boxes remaining from my previous move and we used those, plus I work for a box manufacturer so I can always get corrugated boxes as needed. Suggestions: I truly hope your company pays its movers and packers very, very well. It's a position that in addition to physical strength involves talent, intelligence, people skills, analytical ability, and attention to detail. Based on what I've been exposed to of Two Men it appears you understand and appreciate this, so I have two suggestions: one is continue to do so and never underestimate the importance of it; two is compensate your people financially for the excellence of the job they perform. Thank you again.
Description of Work: This was an interstate move from Atlanta, GA to Northern Illinois, of contents of a two-story townhouse-style apartment to a single family home. I chose them in part because of certain differences in the services they provide. One is that they loaded all my belongings onto a single truck and they remained there throughout the move, as opposed to some other professional movers that offload it a time or two to get it moved interstate which opens it up for further damage risks. Two is that my things were the only things on this truck, which left minimal risk of mixup or any property being left on the truck. Three is that the same drivers that loaded the goods are the same ones that off-loaded it, so they understand all the property on the unload. Four is that the packing is separate and charged by the hour, so I had help available for packing prior to the move as necessary but it left me options of how much (I think they have a two hour minimum). For me, they only took three hours to pack about 60% of my household goods. One comment about the dollar amount spent, that's the total amount including moving, insurance, packing, and tips. The move estimate was made by an onsite visit prior to the move, and they didn't try and renege on it and charge me more later which some companies would. I gave them a B on price simply because it was more than a lot of other movers would charge, but I also believe you get what you pay for so I was willing to pay more for services provided and a good company reputation. Although I didn't find an Angie's List review on line for this particular Two Men and a Truck location, I saw a number of good reviews for their others so decided to go with them. They did typical packing, and funiture wrapping, padding, and taping as would be expected. They dis-assembled and re-assembled a double bed, an attached mirror and dresser, dining room table with swivel chairs. They needed to go so far as to remove a door on one of the rooms at the destination site so I could have a large desk in the room I wanted it, and did so successfully to my full satisfaction. They made every effort to keep my possessions from being damaged; there are probably a couple of new scuffs but that is to be expected (I learned that long ago, the first time I ever moved) and they are minimal.
