DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY NOR THIS CONTRACTOR! This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. There are too many things to mention here, but I'll give you a few. You can either FB messenger me or IG message me if you want all of the details or (text, email, or recorded) proof. He charged me an excessive deposit of $2,500 on a $4,550 job so he could purchase a Jaguar. He then demanded that I pay for the concrete supplies or it would take longer to do the time sensitive job. He had me write him a second deposit check because there wasn't enough money in his business account to clear. All pf these were inconveniences that I overlooked to support a black-owned business. Most things were fairly okay (although I had to talk to him twice about his behavior and lack of professionalism) until after the concrete pour when I told him the stairs and patio weren't as we agreed on. He called me a liar and hung up on me that night (6/30). He was supposed to have the job done before 7/1 being that I paid him the deposit on 6/7. It was almost a month later for a job which the contract states takes approximately 8 days. He doesn't call me back and shows up on 7/2 as if nothing happened. By then, I had let two separate inspectors look at what he had done and both said it wasn't up to code and wasn't done properly. Both inspectors said they wouldn't let him do any more work if they were me. Later, I had a third person come in that mentioned more details of why it wasn't up to code and something potentially dangerous concerning my deck above the patio that I can share with you if you need me to. When I told Daniel on 7/2 that I wanted to "pause" work, he sent several text calling me a liar, saying I was trying to get out of paying him (keep in mind that I had already paid him over $3,000 of the $4,550). He sent me texts cursing me and telling me ,"you don't know what the F%&k you're talking about", saying he was going to sue me and how he did nothing wrong. We told Daniel we would pay him $543 of the remaining $1543 and use the $1,000 to pay to fix everything else. He countered that with $900. We paid just to get rid of him because our attorneys said we should try to settle if we don't feel like going to court. The crazy part is, he still thinks he did nothing wrong and I'm trying to cheat him when I paid $4,000 of the $4,550 and the job is not complete. I will still need to pay someone to complete the job! If you want to avoid broken promises, lack of professionalism and an experience like mine, I suggest you choose someone else. If you want it, here's more details about the situation: He came asking for the deposit without a contract. I told him I'm not giving him money without a contract so he went to his car and wrote one up quickly. I went along with it because work I had seen seemed well done. He said because I paid extra money on the deposit he would offer me a special upgraded aggregate concrete for my patio. I never told him to do it though. He was supposed to be doing my patio, a landing and stairs from the landing to the patio. There are things we discussed twice before he started that were not specifically in the contract. I told him we were using the downstairs for short-term rental so I didn't want traditional stairs guests would have to navigate with suitcases. I said I wanted it to be more like landings with smaller drops for their suitcases. He also said the drain pipe from the gutters would go underground and away from the house because I didn't want it to drain onto the patio if guests wanted to sit on the patio while or after it rained. He did traditional stairs with a 9 inch drop on one which isn't up to code. He then blamed me for the stairs saying I changed the landing so he had to. The problem I have is that he never asked me if he could change it to traditional stairs. He just did it. As he just ddid the aggregate. As I mentioned, if you think this isn't true or you need more proof, I'd be happy to provide you with any of the above upon request. Good Luck on your concrete work, but be cautious.

Response from Think Concrete Atlanta
[Member Name Removed] was having money problems and tried to escape paying his balance by claiming he didn't want the finish he and his wife agreed to. instead of arguing with him I decided to just change the finish. he thought that saying he didn't want the finish was a deal breaker. when he realized it was not a problem to change the finish he jumped to an even more fabricated issue. claiming that the steps were not up to code. none of the steps where 9 inches high. as a matter of fact I've never in my career design a 9 inch high step. we used six inche boards to establish height. when I asked him what was the code violations he stated that he didn't remember but it was a bunch. the reality is their aren't many codes that govern a small set of 4 stairs. he told me he had 3 different inspectors view the steps after 2 days of pouring them in Atlanta where the waiting time for one inspector one to two weeks AFTER waiting in undetermined amount of time for an approval for inspection. I asked to see the document for failure to meet codes he said there wasn't any. if we installed a product that wasn't up to code he could have easily beat us in court. but when your argument is fabricated you know you don't stand a chance. his project was actually done in the timeframe I quoted him. I don't know where he got a month from.. my experience with [Member Name Removed] was an unforgettable one to say the least. if you're a contractor avoid Mr [Member Name Removed] if you'd like to avoid unreasonable customers that try to escape payment.
