Worst experience with a plumber ever. AND we're in the same neighborhood! They couldn't get appointment correct. Tried to come on the wrong day, then on the right day supposed to be there at 9:00, called delaying all day till no showing. Came next day, said they wouldn't do any of the items I requested (3 small non-emergency repairs) and STILL insisted on charging $95. Wasn't here 15 minutes. Called and Amy was very rude. Save your money and time - go anywhere else.

Overcharged/ Surprise Billing . My HVAC issue was minor. But, I was charged for a 15min cleaning service and for inconvenience of: parking, walking to building, checking into the front desk, wearing a badge, and getting their supplies, leaving ID, and checking out. I am a reasonable person, but really. Inflating your fees because your irriated - in your so call inconvenience having to work in a high rise bldg is laughably. They missed my first appointment, because the weather was not warm enough to be on the roof (frost) - understandable, - But no one call to tell me they were not coming. Fours hours of my time just waste. Bottom line- they don't like highrise condos- Beware Buckhead condo owners.

I had a coolant leak and was without air conditioning. Someone came within two days and completed replacing coolant. (This was with 96 degree temps and lots of air conditioners out of service.) The technician was professional and friendly. I would use this company again.

A small tear in drain pipe under sink behind sheetrock had been leaking for some time. Once it was determined that water was leaking (first identified by wood floor buckling) called Mattus to come out to try to determine where water was coming from. They cut a small hole and with equipment was able to see slow steady drip (I was able to see the problem on the camera equipment they used.) They came out a day later and replaced the broken portion of the drain. I have used Mattus many times over the course of several years. Besides their referral from Angie's List, they are used by several residents in our townhomes community. This is an old townhome complex so we are dealing with old pipes and fixtures. They have always been prompt, professional, and reasonable in their charges. The cost covered their standard $150 on visit and $375 for labor and materials. I would recommend them.

Our old HVAC package unit had to be replaced. Mattus replaced the entire unit with a new furnace and separate AC unit. It was a substantial job and by the end of day one, we had some heat. They returned the following day and dialed in the heat; turns out they had put a filter in the unit under the house when there was already a floor filter inside, so the system was not able to operate properly. Easy fix and tune; remove the filter under the house. Within a week they returned to finish installing the AC unit, which was fine since it was winter. Come spring the AC was not performing and Mattus returned to service it. They said "yes, usually when we install an AC unit in the winter we need to return in the warm weather to adjust it." That is fine, but I wish I had been told that in the winter, so I could have scheduled them to return in the spring, rather than think the new system was broken. In the summer I had to go under the house to do some work and noticed my crawl space was colder than the house. It turns out they did not do a good job of sealing the system, so for months I was loosing lots of cold air and energy to the crawl space. Upon closer look, and in my opinion, they did not do a very good job of fitting the coil box to the furnace box. I have since taped up the leaks and all seems to be working. I like the guys, they were nice, and worked hard, but the couple of issues noted won't let me give them 'A' grades across the board. In talking to some other friends, the Mattus prices are probably fair, but could be considered high by others. Again, if the job and customer service were flawless, I would be willing to rate the prices higher than I did. I did not call them about the air leaks in the system, I simply rectified that on my own.

I feel that the corrosion in the furnace should have been fixed by Mattus and not be me. I had no reason to turn the furnace on in the fall when I bought the condo, especially after a clean report.

Excellent. When I came into the kitchen in the morning to see water dripping down the cabinet, I panicked as I was going out of town in less than a week and would be gone for some time. After our maintenance man determined it was probably a leak from the upstairs bathroom, I called Mattus and explained the situation. They arranged to come out the next day (I told them I would buy the remodeling kit to replace the fixtures to save time.) Tim and his assistant came out the next morning and did a thorough check and determined that it was most likely just a leak coming from the upstairs spout where there was a gap to the wall. They applied a heavy duty caulking. They didn't want to start tearing into the wall if it wasn't necessary. Once the caulking dried, they recommended that running the water to make sure the caulking was holding. So far, it seems to have solved the problem but I've arranged for my son to make periodic checks while I am out of town.

I have had them servicing my a/cs for the last fifteen years. They also do some plumbing and they are very convenient because they are in the neighborhood and usually respond quickly. They are also very knowledgeable.

WE'VE USED THEM FOR YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY HAPPY.

I THOUGHT THEY WERE A GREAT DEAL UNTIL THE BRAND NEW HOT WATER HEATER THEY INSTALLED STARTED TO FAIL. AFTER ONLY 2 WEEKS, I HAD TROUBLE. THEY SAY THEY WILL HAVE THE MANUFACTURER COME BY AND REPAIR IT. THEY DON'T SEEM TOO INTERESTED IN HELPING NOW THAT THEY FEEL IT IS THE MANUFACTURER'S FAULT. I WOULD NOT CALL THEM AGAIN.
