It went quite well overall. There was a slight delay at the start because of a health issue with one of the principals, but after that everything moved right along. As with any renovation, I sometimes felt that I was living in a zoo, but the workers were unfailingly pleasant and quite meticulous about doing a good job.

The quality of the work was eventually good. Phil was responsive to issues that arose. Overall I would like to be able to give a B+. The reason for no higher grade is that "responsiveness" is the issue. When we pointed out (admittedly minor) items that needed correction, the company dealt with the matters satisfactorily. However, for an A level of service, I believe a firm should have internal quality control procedures to spot snags and should not rely on the client checking the work. These minor, and subsequently corrected, items were, 1) tiles mis-cut for step into shower pan; 2) shower door handle left loose, 3) w.c. left wobbly, 4) loose tiles on floor, 5) shower door not hung correctly. One item not totally corrected was that old debris/tile/mortar etc was dumped on the front lawn.

Overall everything went great. Fil Catalano came out to do the estimate and gave us some really good ideas on what might look good in our remodeled master bathroom. He was ready to start within a day or two of us deciding on his company. Fil always answers his phone which is refreshing. There were a couple of minor speed bumps on the way, but Fil handled everything professionally and without question we would have his company out again to do more work. He had no problems with sending his guys back out to handle a couple of minor repairs after he had been paid in full.

Fil came and took his time to make sure he understood the work we were asking be done. He gave us a quote and stuck to it. He was always punctual and his workers professional. It is very simple: Rocca Tile was great.

They were very professional. They showed up on time to do the work. They got the job done when they said they would. They do very good work. He answers his phone right away.

They did a pretty good job overall. Both baths look great and by keeping the "good" tile and only rebuilding the bad part and using the existing glass enclosure it save me a lot of money and looks great.

They were relatively responsive with me. The quality of the work is not as good as I thought it would be. It still looks beautiful though. The size of the tile was a little bit beyond their skill level. They were polite with us though.

When they pulled out the old shower stall they also had to do some structural work on the studs and replace the sub-floor because they were rotten from the shower leaking for so long.

The tile job is excellently done and lovely. It transforms the bathroom and we are very pleased. The plumber did not do so well: he installed the shower fixtures without a necessary washer (he said it was missing, but we found it later in the box). As a result there was a leak that heavily damaged the ceiling of the garage below. After some time repair work was done, although the patch was never painted. The rating is for overall -- but the tile work deserves an A. I would not hesitate to use this company again for tile work ---

Rocca was amazing! They were extremely professional from start to finish. I had been told that tile work would be really messy, but they cleaned up after themselves and were very nice to have in my home. Halfway through the job, we realized that the tile store had miscalculated the amount of border tile we needed. Since it was special order, we had to stop the job and wait for several days to get it in. They were so nice about it, even though I know it cost them money to have the guys out there for two days rather than one. They never asked me to pay more for that. They did a beautiful job, I could not have been more satisfied.

Called Fil Catalano for an estimate. He came at the correct time, provided a detailed estimate. I scheduled the installation for the next week. He and an assistant came on the scheduled day, completed the work, charged exactly the amount estimated and left at the end of the day.

We provided all materials and Rocca was able to install a nicely finished shower in 2 days.

Went beautifully. We were more than pleased. This crew exceeded our expectations. While one worker was waiting for something to dry, he went ahead and caulked around the toilet...just because he saw that it needed it! They were all professional, prompt, courteous and competent. Also did a great job cleaning up after themselves. We will be using them again soon to do some tile/granite work in our kitchen.

They really listened to what I wanted and went from there. They went above and beyond to make sure I had what I wanted and was happy with the work. The price was a little high but they did a good job.

Wonderful! Fil was very honest about what he and his crew could accomplish. Crew showed up when they said they would. Fil communicated very well throughout the project. Each change and design aspect was discussed and communicated very well to crew. Fil worked generously with us on scheduling work. Crew never rushed, they took their time making sure we were happy and never complained when asked to alter something. Some additional work was added during the project, Fil had no problem accommodating extras! There were some technical problems during the process such as leveling of natural tile and not enough grout after first pass. Fil and crew fixed all issues to our satisfaction in a timely manner without complaint. REMEMBER NATURAL TILE AND DISCOUNT TILE IS IMPERFECT! DON'T EXPECT PERFECTION! Working with Rocca Tile was a very good experience for us. We would refer Rocca Tile to our families and friends.

This company was great to work with. They were very responsive and professional. They also would give great suggestions that were very helpful. They were always ready to go and on time with every visit.

Overall good job. Fil Catalano is professional, honest and trustworthy. He offers good advise and alternatives to cut costs! His team is friendly, punctual and skilled. I would certainly hire him/them back to do other jobs in my house and highly recommend them too.

The job went well. Made an appointment for the estimate, and representative was there on time, (actually early). He had some good advice and provided a rough estimate on the spot followed up later by a written estimate. After we agreed to the work, they were able to schedule it very soon, and the job was finished very quickly. The installer, La, seemed to take pride in his work and had some good advice on some areas that we needed to decide before he could proceed. This is a renovation with hardly a straight wall to be found. La did a great job of making everything look straight and even under very challenging conditions. We're very happy with the result.

The material was already in my unit, I took care of the purchase. The two gentleman did a very good job, knew exactly how to perform the job.

The whole process went smoothly. We immediately felt a rapport with Fil Catalano and his assistant that came to do the estimate on a Tuesday. We had a written estimate within 24 hours. We got another estimate from another Angie's List contractor on Saturday and called Fil on Saturday afternoon to accept their bid. I asked if they could start on Tuesday, and he agreed. They worked Tuesday, Wednesday, and half a day on Thursday. Everyday they cleaned up the whole area and worked late to try to finish quickly. They were a great crew. Hugo was the main tile installer each day; he did a great job of confirming each decision with me, and there were several decisions to make. He carefully followed the photo I gave him of the tile layout for the backsplash and the tile layout for the floor. We look forward to having them do our master bath down the road.

The floor and the backsplash look great. Fil was wonderful to work with, as he provided the right balance of offering opinions while also respecting the desires of the customer, which resulted in the final product being even better than we had hoped. Fil was always responsive to phone calls and e-mails and answered all questions. Everything was completed on time and within budget. Overall, we could not have asked for better service from Rocca Tile or have been more pleased with the final product.

I had a shower pan put in that was done incorrectly about a year ago. I thought I needed a little tile work done around the pan. Fil took one look and immediately told me it was more than cosmetic (which I had suspected). He was very knowledgeable about what the problem was and gave me an estimate on what it would take to fix it. Since I am remodeling in a year or two I chose not to do the extensive work that needs to be done. Fil gave me a workaround (albeit an ugly one but it will keep the water out) and really impressed me with both his knowledge and his sincere wish to help me. I got a very good feeling from him and I have had several home projects go bad - each time I should have trusted my instincts which were telling me the person did not have the right skill set. I will definitely call him when it is time to remodel.

We decided not to have the work done at this time because we didn't know it would cost so much for this job. However, Fil was very prompt in coming out to give an estimate, was courteous and even provided the names of other service providers we were seeking. I was able to use the plumber he recommended. Whoever the woman was I spoke with at Rocca Tile was very pleasant and professional. A written estimate was sent via email.
