Pick Up & Go Movers

My husband scheduled the move for 1 PM, and the movers arrived at 4 PM in a purple Pick Up and Go Movers truck, uniforms, and name badges. The movers did not sign any paperwork. The paperwork was presented with pressure to sign contract terms changed form the terms at scheduling. 1) Pay in full before they unload at new address 2) 13% charge for using a debit card 3) Tips must be in cash 4) Do not accept checks. 4) Charged $20 to shrink wrap items, which they did not do to all the pieces or wrap properly. Issues: Arrived late. Changed the terms of agreement. The movers left an eight inch gash in the hardwood floors at the first house. Damaged 75 % of furniture. Loaded two very heavy planter pots (outside pots) last and did not tie down. Therefore, upon arrival at the storage unit, the pots had tipped over onto the formal dining room table and table leaves. Upon unloading formal dining table, the mover placed the table on it's edge on the concrete, thus removing much of the table finish and wood. Upon arrival at new house, the lead mover calculated how long it would take to unload and overcharged us. Demanded, and I mean, demanded a tip before unloading. 75% of the furniture was scratched and damaged. We did not take out the insurance, mistake! The company has refused to admit to moving us. I believe, A) the company is a scam. B) The company does not contract, or hire, quality individuals, whom may using the company truck for personal gains. Please, please, do not use this company.

I hired this company two weeks in advance of my move in which they told me that the only time they had available was between 1-4 pm. Normally, I would not take this time slot but I was desperate so I agreed. Day of the move, I am waiting, waiting and waiting for them to arrive. I made two phone calls and was told each time that they were in the middle of another move and would be over as soon as they were done. They eventually showed up at 6:45 at night. By this time I had called around and found another local company that could come out the next day but again, I was desperate so I let this company move me. These two guys had already done two moves and were extremely tired. To cut the story short, they didn't have the right sized truck, we had to make two trips, they didn't bring everything from the apt. to the house and we didn't get done until almost midnight. Please, please, please, don't use this company. Save yourself the headache.

This was a miserable company. For starters they were 4 hours late for their appointment and that was after several phone calls. They sent two guys who had already moved 2 moves that day. They came in and the equipment was faulty and the guys could barely move anything. They were not very careful. Our leather living room furniture was scraped agains the door and the leather was peeled off on all 3 pieces, not to mention the wall was destroyed on the corners. They moved my washing machine and almost tore the outer covering off the machine. We purchased the insurance from them and they have yet to send someone to look at the damage or ever attempt to try to make it right. For that matter they will not even answer our calls unless we call from another number. I would never suggest this company for anyone to use!
