I contacted Outdoor Makeover & Construction to receive a quote for a paver patio and stepping stones. Navid Derakhshan, a company principal, met with my family within 48 hours. He helped us understand the entire process from start to finish, to include helping us choose the best materials and color selections for our property. He was also vital in helping us get property improvement approval from our HOA. The construction phase of the project had an initial timeline of 2 days, but Outdoor Makeover actually finished the project after a day and a half. The construction team, led by Dennis, arrived early each morning, maintained professional attitudes and demeanors, and did an outstanding job! Several neighbors have stopped by to compliment the work and to get information on Outdoor Makeover and their services. Mr. Derakhshan came to inspect the work himself and to insure we were completely satisfied with the project. This experience was 100% positive and we're looking forward to working with Outdoor Makeover & Construction again; upgrading our deck in the near future. We’ve worked with contractors in the past who started strong but lacked follow through, not the case with Outdoor. I have no problem recommending them and standing behind that recommendation.

Navid is awesome. One day when I have more time I will write a very extensive review of just how great he is, and how happy I am with my yard, but I have too much to say about it right now and not enough time.

Outdoor Makeover and Construction just completed a total makeover of our front yard and some much needed improvements in the backyard. We had such an amazing experience with them. It is always a good sign when the owner of the company is intimately involved in every piece of the process. Navid, one of the owners, was our contact for the entire project. It was easy to schedule our consultation. Navid worked with our schedule and spent hours with us talking about our goals. He then took some time in the yard and designed a plan that we reviewed and tweaked right there. Sometimes creative types are difficult to work with if you want to change their vision. Navid listened to our concerns and made changes to the plan that addressed our concerns while maintaining the overall vision for the project. As soon as we made the decision to move forward, Navid took his time explaining the whole process and timing to us. The company was able to squeeze us in just a few weeks later. The project took less than 4 days and went incredibly smoothly. The team sent by Outdoor Makeover and Construction was well staffed, polite, friendly, courteous, hard working and efficient. I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Matthew, the project manager, was easy to talk to and had some great ideas that helped to enhance Navid's original design. Navid visited a number of times to oversee the work. There were a few unexpected items that came up during the project (as there always are) and they were handled well. Navid explained the issue and resulting cost. He worked with us on cost of those items and even ate the cost of quite a few things that came up. When the project was finished, the team cleaned up our yard, pressure washed our patio, driveway and walkway and even pressure washed the cul de sac. You can tell if someone is sincere when they tell you they want you to be 100% happy and Navid was absolutely sincere. This process went so much smoother than I ever imagined that it could. I do not take recommendations lightly because it is putting my reputation on the line. I reserve my recommendations for people and companies that I trust will treat my friends and family with the same type of care that I would and put out a top notch product. I recommend Outdoor Makeover and Construction wholeheartedly! We could not be happier with the outcome, and we cannot wait to bring Navid back out to help us design an amazing backyard in the near future!

Simply stated he exceeded our lofty expectations! From the first day he and his crew were on site until a week later when the project was completed the word that resonated with us is Quality. The attention to detail he and his team provided along with the many "extras " not agreed to but nevertheless provided made us a customer for life. All through the week he would daily ask... Are you guys satisfied ? Let's do a walk through.! Mind you we had high expectations as we felt we were paying top dollar for the project and expected a job commensurate with the cost! Consult - We called Navid and Outdoor Makeover Construction out based on their online reviews. We knew we had a large vision for what we would like our back yard to look/feel like, but we also knew we would be doing this in stages. Navid came to our home, walked the property and spent a good chunk of time with us. He was incredibly helpful in providing ideas and information relevant to the vision we shared with him. Best of all he listened. We knew we were not experts, but that we had an idea and we were really looking for someone to collaborate with us on the project. Navid provided his expertise, was warm and humorous the entire time. This was important because we were slightly nervous not having had work like this done before. While he was there he drafted a plan for us, priced it and provided us time to discuss. Both my wife and I did not wait, but signed him on. We had called 3 other companies prior - 2 never returned our calls and the 3rd set up a time to come by and never showed. This may have helped in our impression of Navid, but even if the other showed I would probably still have been impressed. The Project - The project took a total of 2 days. Navid's crew showed up when we were told they would be there. All of his team was respectful, efficient and knew what they were doing. Navid was on site regularly and was always in contact with us via text/phone. The crew cleaned up the entire site - removed debris, rinsed and over all left the place in fantastic shape. The Walk Through - Navid scheduled a final walk through for us to discuss the project, ensure our satisfaction and bring the project to a close. We were not satisfied with a cosmetic piece of the patio - that day he had one of his crew come out and remedy the situation. We would highly recommend Navid and his team - and we will certainly be using his group in the future.

My husband and I had hired Navid of Outdoor Makeover a year and a half before for some landscaping in our back yard and were immensely pleased with the result. This time, as we needed a new deck, Navid’s brother Omid was brought in as well. I wanted the deck and additional landscaping to have a seamless look so having both brothers working together was a win-win. The crews showed up on time and I could see measurable progress every single day. Like Navid, Omid was a pleasure to work with and exceeded my expectations with the final product. The deck is beautiful! Additional landscaping in the back yard as well as extensive landscaping in the front gave my home some great curb appeal! Outdoor lighting was added providing warm ambiance in the evening. Outdoor Makeover and Construction again delivered a superb end product and I do not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Once the debris was cleared out, we had him put new zoysia sod in the back yard as well as landscaping. I was very impressed with how professional everything was handled. Materials were ordered and delivered like clockwork. Large crews showed up for work in the morning and worked hard until it was time to call it a day. The landscaping entailed adding stone steps leading from the driveway to the back yard. Boulders were added in various locations for dramatic impact and the end result was absolutely beautiful! We could not be happier and would highly recommend Outdoor Makeover!

I am the Treasurer of a homeowners association and this project was outstanding for more than a year trying to decide what to do with a strip of common property where the current landscaping was diseased and dying. This was the second project that I hired Outdoor Makeover and Construction for. They were very professional and do a wonderful job for a reasonable price. They were trustworthy and genuinely wanted to make sure that they did a good job and that we were happy with the completed project. This was rather a difficult project as it was for a homeowners association and they had to navigate through several opinions which in and of itself is no easy feat. Yet they were able to make everyone happy with the work that was done. I highly recommend them.

The job went very well. I called to get an appointment and Navid was able to come within a few days which was refreshing since I hadn't had much luck getting other landscaping companies to even return my call. He spent a couple of hours with me going over ideas and drawing up a plan which I was very happy with. When we had differences of opinion on the design (Navid likes using boulders more than I do) he was very accomodating and did it the way I wanted. He told me that he was finishing a job in my area the following week and could fit me in before he moved on to another part of town. I was pleased about that since the weather was about to turn cold and I wanted to get it done before it was too late to plant. His tree contractor did a great job with the huge tree and I felt that they handled it with care and safety. Navid's crew worked hard for several days, removing the old shrubs and in some cases transplanting them for me to other areas of the yard. They cleaned up after themselves each day and washed the mud off my driveway and walkway at the end of the job. When the job was done Navid did a walk-through with me and found a few things that needed tweaking and they guys came out within a couple of days to make sure everything was done properly. The final result looks great and my neighbors have commented how much they like what we've done

I have signed a contract with Outdoor Make over to do our landscape maintenance, one of the jobs was to replace the sidewalk wooden stairs to the back Garden with Stone. The installation of the side stone stairs was wonderful, the best job the Outdoor Make over team did and I will give them 5* for it. The next job was to remove and replace old trees in front garden and plant trees and flowers on the side leveled Gardens, it is acceptable to some extent. Other job that has been done very satisfactory is removing the bocce ball court and installing lawn in that place. Navid is warm and friendly, very knowledgeable about landscape materials and plants. He is very active, full of energy and like a close friend with his team. The next job which was the installation of the stone under the deck is something that I agreed with the idea and they did the job in accordance to the American standards, after finishing I found that it doesn’t have any harmony with the whole building elements and the area, also the installation method and the monkey grasses planted between them make a wall around the stones and the muds remain on it, no way to go out, it looks very odd in my view. Navid was there most of the time, in the morning, at noon, in the afternoon. The next projects that they did is the lights which can be categorized among the 5 * jobs they did. The last comment is the ups and down of the front and side garden beds, while I expected a smooth bed to make the planted flowers more visible. Over all I was pleased with the outcome of the job and recommend them as a professional, knowledgeable and hard- working team.

The finished product is outstanding. Omid was always available during the construction. He would contact me regularly with updates. His crew were approachable and professional.

Navid and team did a great job on a complete re-do of our front and back yard. I met with several companies and from the initial meeting with Navid I knew I wanted to go with Outdoor Makeover. His ideas showed that he listened to what was important to us. After our first few meetings we had a sketch of the yard, a detailed estimate and plan for moving forward. Once the work begin I was really pleased with how quickly everything was transitioned. The foreman checked in with us each day to go over everything that was completed and let us know what was happening the next day. All questions were answered and there was never any confusion about what was happening. Navid and team were always in contact. Two words describe my experience with Outdoor Makeover & Construction: absolute perfection. When I first met with Navid (the owner) during my initial landscaping appointment, I was immediately impressed with his professionalism. Navid is very warm and friendly; he took the time to get to know me as a person and treated me like an old friend (not just a client), which made me feel special. He listened to my thoughts and made it his priority to incorporate them into the landscape design. Navid has an amazing eye for design. He took my ideas and expanded upon them to create a landscaping masterpiece. Navid was also on-site every day to review their work (he is a perfectionist and also expects perfection from his team), and to be available for you, in case you had any questions or concerns. Navid and the team at Outdoor Makeover & Construction recently updated on our Patio and created a new fire pit in our backyard utilizing pavers and stacked stone. Outdoor Makeover's customer service in addition to the finished work was fantastic. Navid created a vision and tailored a design that was custom to us and our needs, including the lighting which beautifully accented some of the larger tress in our backyard. I could not have been happier with the finished project driven by The Outdoor Makeover team's attention to detail. Navid's hands on approach and frequent touch points kept us up to date on project status, which made for a low stress experience. Navid and his team were really great to work with. Navid originally came to do our quote and provided us some options to keep us on budget. After getting a few more quotes we called Navid back to talk about our project again. We explained our budget constraints and he was willing to walk through some of the options again and offer some creative solutions to allow us to complete our project closer to our budget. When the project began, Navid's team was extremely friendly and professional. They worked very hard in some very hot temperatures and ended up completing our project in 2 days. The team used a common space to access our backyard that actually belonged to our HOA - they cleaned up that area and left it better looking than before the work began. Navid stopped by several times throughout the project and provided some direction to the team and also walk us through what was going on and make sure we were happy with the progress. He was always willing to answer our questions. Overall our project turned out great and we now love our new backyard.

It went very well. Even before the work was completed, neighbors were commenting on how good it looked. One of them even asked for a small job to be completed by Navid's team. The work included the following items: -taking out one large tree -removal of old plants and bushes -grading and reshaping portions of yard -installing several pallets of sod -trimming up trees to reduce shade -landscaping plan -new plant installation -extensive pine straw replacement -irrigation system repair and expansion Navid was very patient and answered all of our questions. He was friendly and was always willing to change the plan as needed. After the work started, some of the plants were not what we wanted and we decided to take out some additional bushes and replace them with new plants. Navid made sure to notify of us of any changes in pricing before doing any new work. Overall, it was a great experience.

We just completed our Outdoor Makeover this past weekend and could not be happier! From beginning to end they were amazing to work with. At our first consultation Navid spent 4 hours with my husband and I, going over every detail of the project with a fine-toothed comb to ensure that he understood our wishes. Navid is professional, experienced, and truly genius when it comes to creating a space that works for your family and looks beautiful! During the time after our consult but before the project began he continued to communicate with us frequently regarding schedule, picking out stone, etc. Navid routinely sent us texts and encouraged them from us, which is the way we most efficiently communicate so my husband and I both loved how accessible he makes himself to his clients. The project began on time, and even with a few additional tasks added than originally planned, the project was still completed in a timely manner. During the project they were here everyday, sometimes with 17 guys, doing whatever it took to get the job done. Navid was at our site every day to ensure that things were running smoothly, to make sure there were no issues or concerns, and to make sure the project completion was on schedule. After starting the project Navid and his crew determined that we had the wrong type of drainage system in place, which was causing our yard to remain wet most of the time. They immediately approached us when they discovered the problem and came up with a great solution that we all agreed would be better for us (and our yard) in the long run. Not that I ever doubted them, but I was so encouraged to see the crew work with such precision as they went from task to task. I have had work done in the past by other companies that had been done very sloppily, and this company strives for way above that and they hold true to their standards of excellence. Each crewmember that I spoke to was polite and respectful of our home and property. Even during clean up they not only sprayed down the windows, but also tediously wiped dry by hand to remove all water spots from the glass. It is details like this that place them at a level above the rest. Two of our neighbors were so impressed with the work they were doing, that they both hired them as well!! We are thrilled to have such a beautiful backyard now and look forward to spending lots of time outside!!

Many repairs or improvements were added the more we got into the project. Frankly, all the added work and cost was our fault because of long deferred maintenance. It was just time to get it all done. We went ahead and had the overgrown backyard cleared, the front steps fixed, and trash hauled away. The team also capped an old irrigation systems and poured a concrete housing for a drain box. Naveed provided helpful suggestions throughout. He really works well with clients to provide what will work best for the client and the property. The team was prompt, professional, polite, and the job finished in 6 days. We already discussed coming back to do more with the backyard, now that it is just pine straw and clear of English ivy, poison ivy, Virginia creeper, excess privets and holly bushes.

About two weeks after my initial contact with the company, I met with Navid for a landscape design and consultation. I had a general idea of what I wanted ? retaining walls and perennials with lots of color, but did not know if its cost would be within my budget given the size of the area to be landscaped. Navid was very creative and came up with a design/project close to my budget. I initially had been told that the company would not be able to start my project before July 2016, which posed some scheduling problems. However, given the size of my project and Navid?s super team, they were able to complete my project in May in three days, just in time for my husband?s birthday! All of the members of Navid?s team were very nice and pleasant to work with. Navid was at our site every day to ensure that things were running smoothly, to make sure there were no issues or concerns, and to make sure the project completion was on schedule. Navid is very pleasant, professional, and extremely knowledgeable about landscape design and plants. He was always available to answer any questions that I had. He and his crew did an outstanding job on my outdoor makeover, and I am very pleased with the quality of their work. The backyard makeover is absolutely beautiful! I have never been a fan of sitting in the backyard, but now I have a great reason to start using my backyard again. Outdoor Makeover was a very positive experience for my wife and me. We first contacted Navid to help us with permitting and contracting the construction of a driveway extension and parking pad. He was very professional and honest about the cost. Given the amount of soil we needed to move, the permitting process (which is very tedious in Atlanta) and the amount of concrete, the plan deviated-but in a very positive direction. We still had a very bad drainage problem that we needed to address. We decided that a garage was no longer a priority and loved the idea of investing in a better backyard so we moved forward with the design phase. Navid was very flexible with his time and was willing to meet after hours to iterate on the design. His creativity showed us that we could do more than a boring retaining wall to help with expanding our backyard while addressing the drainage issue we had. Also, he came up with a very creative way to extend our driveway that was more than just a slab of concrete. Collaboration was key. Once we came up with a design that suited us, Navid was able to get started a lot quicker than we expected. Despite some bad weather, the team still finished in a very reasonable timeline. The crew was very friendly and prompt. In just one day we started to see so much progress. Concept to execution was very seamless since Navid and his team take pride in the small details. Attention to those details also made for a very functional living space that we couldn’t imagine or do ourselves. Once the crew cleaned everything up, it was as if they were never here. Nothing was left behind that we were responsible for cleaning up. All in all, our experience with Navid and Outdoor Makeover as a whole was 100% satisfactory. I HIGHLY recommend this team and we look forward to working with them on Phase 2!

Navid and his team took our back yard from ?DRAB? to a tranquil outdoor paradise. When we met with Navid, the owner, he gave us a very detailed plan and worked with our budget. We had some significant drainage issues and he worked with us every step of the way. We trusted him to make sure our drainage issues would be a thing of the past. The work was done in a timely manner. Navid isn't onsite all day every day, but he came by everyday. His Project Manager, was onsite during the entire project and headed up the crews. He is a highly knowledgeable and they do not cut corners. I was amazed at all of the instructions that passed between the crew and nothing was forgotten. Their attention to detail was exceptional. We are so please with the quality of work that was done. They were professional and punctual. We loved the end result. Any questions or concerns we had were addressed immediately. We could not be happier. Our project consisted of drainage, re-grading and new sod in the back yard. We also remodeled our front and back yard with a new landscape design, river rock bed, bolders, and stone steeping stones. In the end, we have a beautiful back yard without standing water that is a tranquil oasis that we enjoy every day. We still have future phases planned as we had to stay within budget and we will have Navid and his crew handle them. If you're considering making an investment in your property, call Outdoor Makeover. They won't be the least expensive bid you will get, but you won't get upcharged to death for every little thing as Navid really bids his jobs carefully so you have a true idea of the cost and scope.

We just bought our first place and want to turn our small back yard into place where we can relax with friends and two cats. Our yard had a care concrete slab and a non-exitent lawn and neither of us has much experience in yard work. Outdoor makeover was our first choice after reading their raving reviews on Angie’s List and they delivered! We haven’t moved into our new place when we decided to contact Navid for our backyard. He worked with our schedule and meet with us on a Sunday afternoon for the first initla meeting. He spent almost 2 hours getting to know us, listening to our needs and came up with a design that fits our skill levels and vision. We decided to hire him but the initial design was over our budget. Navid came back on a weekday night – again, to work with our schedule – and spent another 2 hours or so to talk with us and come up with a new design. He was generous with his expertise when we needed help and open-minded when we were particular with our preference. Finally we decided on expanding the small concrete, add pavers and a pergola, add a small lawn and surround the perimeter with azalea, hydrangea & tea olive, which smells amazing! Once we decided on a design, Navid was able to start the project within days. His crew swarmed our tiny back yard and knocked out the job in 3 working days. We were moving to our new place the same day that Navid’s crews started working. They were accomendating when we needed them to adjust their work plan to make space for the moving truck. They were also professional and did not turn on the music until 10am, which is much appreciated in a quiet neighborhood. Navid found out that he had to order extra soil & concrete for this project but absorbed the cost himself. Through out the process Navid texted us daily, came by every day to walk us through the project and asked for feedbacks. It was hard to come up with anything that we were not satisfied though! We were pleasantly surprised by Navid’s attention to detail and his dedication to make sure that we are satisfied with his work. After Navid and his team has finished the process, our back yard is oh-so-gorgeous – and Navid mulched the front yard for us, too! Our neighbor who loves gardening came by to complement our back yard. For this phase of our project, we only worked with Navid and will work with the 2nd Makeover Brothers, Omid for the next phase. Not only did Navid delivered a beautiful backyard, he kept the entire process seamless & pleasant. We will definitely hire them again in the future!
