Navid and his group are very good at what they do. Most landscaping companies did not bring the vision to the project that Outdoor Makeover did and we are grateful that we listened to Navid on a couple of occasions. I think our project was a scheduling challenge for Outdoor Makeover and they did everything in their power to resolve the issues we had. Note here is don't schedule a really large job in December if you are under a tight timeline because we receive a lot of rain in Georgia during the winter months. Not everything is perfect as there were a couple of items at the end that I felt were rushed (mainly due to inclement weather and the length of time the project took to complete). However, Navid would not accept final payment on the job until we were fully satisfied and I appreciate the business ethics behind that decision.

We were initially unhappy with the yard evaluation given to us by this company. In retro - they called us, came back out and re-did the offer. We are very pleased with the results this time and would contact them again for further work on our yard. Thank you Navid!!

I got a Big Deal Coupon from Angie's List. I was looking for some landscaping advice for my front yard which is not very big and has an uninspiring existing landscape. The guy arrived on time. He talked for awhile about a lot of things and then we went out to look at the area I wanted landscaped. When I told him what I wanted done, he said oh come on that's nothing, then proceeded to describe a plan that included lots of stone and gravel. That must be his specialty because most the jobs in his portfolio seemed to be major hardscaping and stonework, which is fine if that's what you want and have a large area to fill. He didn't seem to know as much about plants as I did and didn't seem to get what I had in mind. He did say that the existing plants in my yard were too big for the area, which is true, but no other suggestions besides the gravel etc.

Good price. Good work. No surprises. Came back a month later and filled in a few small spots where the grass didn't take hold.

I sat down with him after he looked at the yard.. He asked me how much I was willing to pay. After I asked what the quote was he gave a very high number which was much higher than my other quotes. I felt he had poor business tact. He did follow-up with me about two weeks later. I let him know that my other quotes were half of what his was. I felt his quote was totally out of line.

Navid came up with some great suggestions and showed us his plant selections on his IPad for our review. A soon as we received HOA approval he came to do the job without delay. His crew was professional and courteous and they finished the job promptly. They also assisted in replanting several of the older bushes and plants. We are looking forward to seeing how beautiful it looks this spring

Landscape planning/tree installation. They did it in tough weather, and did little things that they weren't even supposed to/asked to do that really showed a nice finishing touch.

Part of the reason we chose this contractor was because we read that he would give you a price and then not nickel and dime you -- however that was not true in our case. Every time we turned around he was trying to sell us something else, even though we had already spent more than we had originally intended to. I had several shrubs that had come from family members that I wanted to save. These were specifically pointed out to the contractor as shrubs that I wanted to keep, but I came home one day and they were gone. This was very disappointing. . The stone staircase that they built was one of our favorite things that was done. We believe that it really enhances the look of the yard. Overall, we like the look of the yard. We were disappointed at how many of the plants died. but not really surprised because they were planted in the middle of August -- which was a concern we raised up front and initially wanted to wait until September or October to have the work done. We were told if we watered good, which we did, that they should be fine, but that didn't work out. We have replaced some of them on our own, but have not contacted the contractor because we don't want him to try to sell us anything else. . The last time he was here, we did request a quote on maintaining the yard -- but we never received it, so rather than asking again, we found someone else to do the maintenance. .

Outdoor Makeover is very atuned to providing good customer service. The owner does the landscape plans. He came out twice, once to walk the property and a second time to sit down and draw the plan. To be honest, I am not sure why he couldn't do both at once. It also took a couple of weeks to schedule the second appointment because we both had conflicting schedules. The drawing is done on a blank page. It is very rough, not even to scale, but usable. He also provide a written quote at the time. I found the most beneficial aspect of the service to be just talking with him. He has a ton of experience and a very strong eye for design. He pointed out things I would never have considered and knows a lot about plants, more than what you would get talking to the guys a local nursery. He was able to show me (using his iPad) mature examples of plants and a portfolio of his work. I would definitely use them in the future.

We just purchased a house and I called Outdoor Makeover to schedule an appointment to see what could be done about the landscaping that was infested with prickly holly everywhere. I spoke with Natalie to make the appointment and she was very nice and accomodating. Enter Navid, he came over and review the yard, gave us his recommendations and a quote. We decided to go with part of his plan and will work on the rest later. This would get us started. He was extremely accomodating with our time schedule and completed the work prior to a big party at our place. He made changes as needed and did more than we asked. The yard was awesome and several neighbors and guests were taking pictures and very complimentary of the work that had been done. He was great to work with and I recommend them highly.

The design was over the budget I asked for.

Fantastic. These guys are professional, quick, and extremely friendly. They also followed up after the job to make sure we were satisfied with the work. There is no doubt in my mind that for any landscaping work that we need done in the future, we will call Outdoor Makeover first.

Navid was extremely professional and pleasant. He listened to what we wanted and surveyed the area in question and gave a thorough plan for redoing the landscaping in the front of our house. We were pleased with the plan and will probably undertake in the spring.

Outdoor Makeover was very prompt in arriving on the job and keeping in constant contact with me about what I wanted to be done in my yard. The crew was quick and very thorough about the clean up and plantings that were to be done. They left my yard very clean. The owner, Navid, is very personable and attentive to ensuring that his clients are satisfied with the end product. The only suggestion that I would give is that with a major planting, such as a tree, is make sure that you have extra dirt on hand to compensate for the large amount that is removed.

A gentleman from Outdoor Makeover came to our house to give us a landscaping consultation. He was prompt and friendly. I wish I could remember his name. He listened very carefully to our needs, specifically the problem we have with rainwater runoff from the neighbor's yard. He came up with some really interesting ideas and solutions, and a long-term, multi-phase plan for implementing new landscaping to each zone of our yard. He made a basic sketch of the yard and described the materials that he recommended; rocks for a dry riverbed, shrubbery for protection and privacy, and low-maintenance plants and flowers. We even discussed hardscaping and the addition of a shed and new deck. I didn't know that landscapers could handle all of those things. He also wrote down quotes for each phase of the project. Because each area could be done separately, the $10,000 budget could be spread out over several years and projects, which makes it very affordable. While I myself have no vision for landscaping, obviously he does, and he described it with so much clarity and detail that I could easily picture the end result. Ultimately, we have not yet gone forward with the landscaping, due to other more pressing home repair priorities. But when we do decide to tackle it, we will definitely call Outdoor Makeover.

The initial experience was very positive. The job will cost more than we'd originally anticipated but Navid offered options to reduce costs as needed. We hope to have resolution to the job change possibility soon so that we may go ahead with our plan.

I had work done previously by another landscaper in the back yard that was not doing well, and along with my existing plantings, the back yard did not create an environment where people would want to relax and be entertained. I contacted Outdoor Makeover with the initial hopes of performing some limited landscape redesign. Navid Derakhshan met with me promptly, and walked me through the current condition of the yard and the limited functionality. He suggested several ideas to draw people to the back yard, and let's just say the rest is history. The hardest part of the process was trusting Navid's vision, as the back yard is being torn apart and the dust, dirt, and noise is trying your patience! But trust me, in the end your neighbors will forgive you for the temporary disruption as long as they can relax in your back yard! Outdoor Maekover has added additional living space to my home, and even on the coldest of nights, you can't help but be drawn out to the yard to enjoy the water feature, hardscape design, and landscape lighting. I consider the investment in the landscaping to be one of the best investments made, with immediate paybacks. And I would not trust another landscaper to touch the yard other than Outdoor Makeover. Sure, Navid's design may be pricier than the competition, but in the end, you will never doubt the value you received.

I wasn't happy with the sketch and they helpfully refunded my money.

Our experience with Outdoor Makeover was complaint free. We're not ready for a huge makeover, but our yard was gently manicured. Very pleased with the work that was completed.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Outdoor Makeover. We recently bought a short sale in the Smyrna area that needed quite a bit of TLC. In addition to landscaping we needed a new roof, siding, and floors. My husband signed up with Angie's list to help us navigate all the contractors available. Once we spoke with Navid from Outdoor Makeover, we immediately felt comfortable with his professionalism, ability and knowledge of his trade. He put our minds at ease and designed a beautiful dry creek bed to help with our drainage issues. The work that was done was beautiful, but it was truly a pleasure to work with Navid, his mother and his crew. The friendly, courteous service is what sets Outdoor Makeover apart from other contractors. I will be hiring them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

Supplier came, was on time, punctual, and very personable. Offered suggestions but was beyond my set budget of $5,000. Granted suggestions were for several phase approach...I had a set amount and wanted more to be completed within my budget. Consequently was able to have work done with a non Angie's List landscape contractor and was pleased. But for this purpose...supplier completed their obligation for fulfillment of Angie's List promo terms.

Agent on time performed service as described, left information as well as gave drawing of how yard would look. Very pleasant not pushy or felt like it was a waste of time. Performed as expected, very good experience. Definitely would use the service again.
