They give 2 services. One is called powderpost beetle service and one is subterranean termites. They do one inspection a year but they bill me for 2 different things. They bill me for the powderpost and then they bill me for the termites, and then they send out the bill in January. One bill is due 6 months later so the powderpost is due 6 months later. It says, Remit payments by June 10, 2015. The other one's remit date is a month later. I have been doing this for 28 years with them. The powderpost is a $200 bill and the termite one is a $20 bill so they canceled me because they said I didn't pay my termite bill even though I have been working with them for 27+ years. They did send me notices and they got buried in my house. They did make phone calls but the phone message was to set up for the appointment for the annual inspection. They canceled me and I called them up and I asked why they have to cancel me because I have been with them for 27 years. I just wrote them a check for $200. They said I was grandfathered in 30 years ago and if I don't respond to their things, they are going to cancel me. They are going to give me a great deal. It's half price, it's the new rate. I told them I don't want to do business with anybody who is so mean because I had done business with them and they have a $200 check from me. They saw that I am alive. I have yet to write a letter to the regional manager. I can't do every battle so I just have forgotten that battle. I have canceled them and I needed termite and I am just going to go with my Terminix man and get bids for some other contracts for termite. I have been grandfathered in. I bought the house and I came with this very dirt cheap contract and they wouldn't honor it. It might be a blessing in disguise because they might not even be protecting my house. Everybody else has things around the house, and all they were doing was inspecting and saying I don't have an activity. That was all they ever came and said for 30 years whereas other people's contracts, they are actually putting stuff in the ground to ward them off. I just thought they were unpleasant to do business with. The nail on the coffin is that they continue to call me nonstop. 2 or 3 times a week, I would get an Orkin call and they ask if they can come out to do an inspection. I said I ceased doing business with them. I asked them if they could give me back my $200 that I paid them this year since they are not even honoring my termite thing. They did give me back that money but I am on some megalist that every employee calls up and tries to get an inspection. I am still getting that stupid call. When I see it and it says Orkin, I just don't answer it anymore. I have read it in the paper that they are having difficulties at the upper management. The family is fighting so they are in disarray. Their reputation is going down the tubes. The family is fighting over the estate and they are all fighting each other. They are not looking out for their business. I am giving them $220 a year and nobody I know knows what the powderpost beetles are. None of my friends have a powderpost beetle thing and she couldn't even answer that question. None of my friends saw a powderpost beetle on their contract with all their pest control. They just have a termite contract. They might say it's a $20 contract but I am giving them $220 a year. My credit score is over 800. I have a perfect record. Some things do get buried. I travel a lot and I get so much junk mail that stuff gets buried. I did find the notices after I started looking in my pile. They did actually notify me and they made phone calls, but I just don't think they made it right when I talked to them. They said the policy they send in the old days they used to renew it but they have been told by management that they can't renew. The grandfather policy is somebody's delinquent for more than 30 days. I was delinquent for 60 days or something, but I have given them a $200 check in a timely manner a month before. I travel and so I didn't get the other one right away. I told them they are confusing with the way they are billing. They try to hook somebody. One bill says 6 months time period. They bill me every month for 6 months and the other one they bill within a month. I said I am a senior citizen and it's confusing. If that's the way they want to do business with customers and they don't know what a loud mouth I have, that whatever social groups are, people will hear. I won't go on social media but I go to gyms, I belong to social groups and people hear. They don't know that great finding gets very big, and that's just not customer service. They are going to lose the stature. I had a bad experience. These guys would try to get me to do things. They have to crawl under the house so I can't tell them whether my barriers messed up, but one guy would come and try to sell me a barrier. I had somebody else come under and look under and said my barrier is fine. They are just trying to sell me a barrier. I am scared to death that is why I am procrastinating with Terminix and all these other ones because it's going to be a much bigger expense than I've had. I haven't priced the other companies. I know that $20 is good, but I don't know about the $220 because that was what they charged me for the powderpost. When they went under my house, I could hear they were stomping around for half an hour.

I called them and they came the next day. I got unlimited flea stuff right out of the gate plus 26 visits. They also waived their startup fee which was $265 for the annual contract. Clyde was really nice and he gave me a great price. Alex is a good christian and was sympathetic and really tried to address all needs. The manager's name is Milton and he wanted to come over to check my home. The follow up and follow through was unbelievable!

The last time we had them they said they came and visited but they never had come. We used them for 15 years before that. At first I was suspicious because when they used to come I noticed that they would leave me a receipt in the door. On and off I saw that not happening and the guards log in who comes in and who doesn't from a list of people we allow in. I called the guard and asked if anyone had been working in the past 30 days and I had been billed but no one had come.

We actually just bought a new house and we received the lawn that the previous owners had. We pay them $400 per year for doing the pest control. They did a great job. The guy who came out, came out on time. He told me how much it would cost in the beginning and that’s what he charged me. They didn’t try to up sell me or anything like that. I think they did a really good job. I have no complaints. I would use their services again in the future.
