When I booked with National Express, I was told it "shouldn't take more than 5-7 days" to arrive in Texas since we were one of several jobs heading to Texas around that time. The driver who picked up our things was courteous but did not provide an estimated delivery date; he only asked when we could receive the items. After hearing nothing for a week, we began calling the company (and had a hard time since the number on their invoice copies was not correct). We were told to get in touch with the operations person, who was the ONLY person who could answer any of our questions. That individual was curt, unsympathetic and would only say they had 30 days by law to deliver our goods.... 30 business days. He did tell me it would be there earlier that next week. The day after that when nothing had happened, I called again, only to get another estimated date later that week. All total, we got four different delivery dates, none of which ever materialized, until I finally called the driver and he told me when he was coming. It ended up being 28 business days and six weeks to the day of when they picked up our items. We never could get anyone higher up to answer or return a phone call even to tell us where our belongings were. The service was horrible, and even their own sales people admitted they answer angry calls all day from folks just like us. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. It's not worth the savings in cost or the headaches to deal with these people.
