Moncrief Heating & Air Conditioning

I would give them straight A's. I like their service and their timeliness. They conduct business in a very friendly, personal way.

They were pretty much on time. They were courteous. They have been good about keeping up with everything. I would use them again if the need arose.

We have been using them for about 15 years. We hired them and ended up using them in our old house. We are very satisfied with them. We bought this house about 7 years ago. It had a brand new furnace and air conditioner. It needed a small repair about a year ago. We hired them because we were aware of the company. They took care of the problem very satisfactorily. We were very happy with them. We had a lot of different problems with our old unit and it needed a lot of upgrades. They were wonderful in handling that. When we had a new unit, I did not think twice about calling them. I did not want to go with anyone else. If I need another new unit, they will be the people I will call.

They did an excellent job for their service call on my rental unit. Cleaned the A/C system and repaired the thermostat. When the initial call was scheduled, it was difficult to get a straight understanding of their pricing. The work they did was great, and they even went beyond the intial service call by turning the gas off due to what appeared to be a potentially hazzardous situation with the flu. The downside was that they neglected to tell me of the issue in the Summer. I had paid the invoice over the phone, and they sent the bill to my rental unit. I didn't find out about the situation until my tenant contacted me. When they went back out to re-assess the situation, their solution for the repair was twice as much as the contractor I actually used. And the repair I ended up having done was to code and cost over half as much as the estimate.

The air conditioner stopped working after it had a hard day. The house was being painted and the windows were open so the painters could get to the door and window edges. We were leaving Sunday morning and would be gone all day, so Mubarak came out early and got things up and running quickly and efficiently. I gave a B for price, but overall I can't complain. You tend to get what you pay for anyway.

Overall, I have had a very good experience with them. They came on time, and they cleaned up after themselves. The quality of their work was good.

I like Moncrief Heating & Air Conditioning because they are very professional. They tend to do a good job. I don?t know about air conditioning, but it works when they do the job. They have a rotating schedule for the summer and the fall. They pay attention to the calendar and they are good about giving me a call when the seasons change. Their prices are reasonable. They are very professional and good.

We had renters that were going to be entertaining in our rental house, and the heat went out that Sunday. We called our current provider, and they didn't service Sundays.

It went very well. Two individuals from Moncrief, first John, and later Barry, addressed the above issues and needs. Moncrief, in general, was very responsive to my service calls and both technicians were professional, responsive, explained clearly the issues and the solutions, and were just generally a pleasure to deal with.

It went very well. They were very helpful and they had replaced part of an air conditioner unit the year before, so I was comfortable to use them again this year.

It went great. Called Moncrief Friday night because air conditioner would not work. Scheduled appointment for Saturday. Moncrief''s gave me an estimated arrival time block but actually arrived earlier while I was still out. They rescheduled for the same day with no problem. Technician was very professional ans courteous. He explained in detail the issues with the AC and my options for repair. He got the unit running again and did not try to talk me into more expensive solutions.

They are efficient, fast, and reliable. When we call, we always ask for Barry. Overall, I just trust him. Typically they call me in the spring and tell me they're running a special. I usually sign up because it prompts me to have my service work done each year.

Every time we have called, they have been come out same day and taken care of the problem. Issues have always been covered by the service contract. They even came out on a Sunday morning to fix a "no heat" emergency caused by a hidden main breaker that had jumped overnight. Took care of it and left with a smile. They are great; as we get close to having to replace the system, I have little doubt that we will choose Moncrief to install the new one. Top-notch guys.

AWESOME ! He came earlier than expected, stayed on the job, taking no breaks, and taking no prisoners with the huge evaporator coil ? (more like a small machine) ! He made at least 6 yes, and he's not 20-neither am I- 6 trips up and down both my stairs in my attic, and my two-story home ! I get winded at the mere thought ! He is the only person I want to service my home, because he lives nearby- so he's always earlier than expected; and because he's the most kind guy there is ! He even asked about my boyfriend- in his absence ! Bill rocks !

They are reliable, responsive, punctual and we will continue to use them.

Engineer came out to give estimate for replacing furnace. He advised replacing the bad part rather than buying a new furnace and called the service department for an estimate. The estimate was much lower than one from another company. Service technician came the same day and repaired the furnace. Both men were very professional and efficient.

They sent who seemed to be a very experienced engineer. They had a mis-que. They thought I was having a heating problem though I had told them I wanted an estimate. The guy was able to look at my system and his advice was interesting. He stated that the life of my system was longer and I should not replace it until it fails. He did not give the exact sales price but his quote was around the same as other companies. He did say that I did not need a new system that they system I had would continue to work. There would be no payback by improved efficiency with a new unit. The technician was very experienced but he was here to fix a problem I did not have. I just needed an estimate. He saved me a little money and gave me a different perspective on what I needed. I was happy to have had him come out. I have a new perspective on my current provider that he charges too much and does not do a good job.

Punctual, professional technician located the problem quickly and repaired it efficiently. My only complaint is that he didn't explain the charges for additional services. He asked my husband if we'd like him to check the other units while he was here. No mention of price or other charges for this, and so hubby unfortunately thought this was a courtesy. It added an additional $300 to the bill (oops)! When my husband complained that this should have been explained before he agreed, the technician reduced the amount to a "service call" charge in addition to the repair. I suggest telling future customers that "for an additional $300 you'll check the other units while you are there" rather than giving them a surprise bill. Or maybe future customers should just be aware that this sort of offer is not a courtesy.

I woke up and noticed that the air blowing through the unit was cold air. I was up in the attic at 2AM trying to fix the unit. I called Moncrief in the morning and they had a technician to my house within a few hours. They replaced the ignition part and were in and out in 15 minutes. Very professional technician.

It was well done and nicely handled. They did not try selling me something they weren't sure I needed. It was a pleasure to work with them because they didn't try to take advantage of me, which was nice.

Submitted request for service from company web site. Received no response from the company after an hour or so. Decided to call directly, dispatch determine when they would be able to get to me, service tech showed up on time. With in minutes of being there... he determined what my issues were and wasted no time in getting it fixed. Also suggested a warranty that his company provides to which we will be considering given how much money we have put into this unit this year. Good service all around.

The experience went pretty well. The installer was very nice, came out on-time and was very efficient and pleasant. I thought that the rates were a little high but the air conditioning system is working fine with no complaints.

They were very good and very honest. They didn't try to sell us a new system even though we had an old system. They were very nice and checked everything out for us. They were very prompt and my husband really appreciated them.

They cleaned up after themselves. They were great! They did their job and I was very pleased.

The price is over $300 and includes both heating and both air conditioning units. I am pleasantly surprised with how quickly they come out for service calls. The technicians that come out are very professional. They are comfortable with answering questions. I feel comfortable letting them in my house. They call on their way, so I know when to expect them. They also try to send someone that has been to the home before, which is nice. I will continue to use them and would recommend them to others.
