When I contacted Dave, he was extremely professional and nice, and he immediately set up a time to come out and meet with us. A few days later (on Saturday), a representative did come out. He met with my husband, and the two discussed everything we wanted to have done. We expected Dave to send us an estimate within a few days, but by the following Saturday we had not heard anything from him or anyone else at Mini Jobs. I emailed Dave and stated that we were very interested in getting his quote so we could make a decision as to which company to use. He didn't send a response until the following Tuesday, a full 10 days after coming to our home, and said nothing by way of an explanation for taking so long to respond. He didn't even acknowledge his lack of responsiveness. On top of that, the cost estimate was so high that we actually laughed when we opened the attachment. Needless to say, we went with another company and definitely do not recommend this one.

The contractor acted in a professional manner in gathering information and measurements for a bathroom update. The problem arose when I never received an estimate. The office contacted me to confirm the appointment for the estimate visit AFTER that had already happened, and I told them that I was still waiting for the estimate that should have already arrived according to the contractor. I was told that the contractor had been on vacation and that I would have the estimate within the week. More than a week later I am still waiting for the information. Needless to say, if they cannot even get the estimate to me when they promised I will not be using them for any work in my home.

I have a rental condo that has problems with one of the bedroom doors. I contacted another handyman company and they told me their insurance doesn't cover them working in a rental unit, so I called Mini Jobs. They responded to my email right away and called me to scheduled an appointment. They sent out a technician the next day. He called me when he was on his way and he showed up as promised. He fixed the bedroom door (it wouldn't close, the alignment was off or something) within 30 minutes. Since they charge by the hour, the technician asked me if there was anything else he could fix for me. There was a minor issue with the front door's deadbolt lock (it was not securely latch on the frame), and the technician fixed that for me too. The technician was polite, and he cleaned up after his work. I am calling them back soon to help me with a few projects in my house.

Relatives had begun a bathroom project, but could not finish it before leaving the country for the Christmas holidays. We decided to surprise them upon their return by having the project completed for them. We contacted our regular handyman who we have been using for over six years, met for an estimate, he agreed to begin the project on December 19th, and promised completion before January 4th when our relatives would be returning. For several days after December 19th, we tried to get in touch with our handyman, but he never returned our calls. On December 26th, we finally gave up and began searching for another handyman. I called several, left messages, and waited for a response; one company I called answered immediately - Mini Jobs. They asked me to send pictures of the bathroom and what needed to be done, which I did. I told them what we were trying to do - hoping they could finish before January 4th. We met David Wise at the house; he looked at everything and gave me an estimate and said they would try to get things finished by the deadline. They were on the job on the 28th. There were several issues that had to be dealt with which slowed down the job (old houses often present their own set of problems), but, with the exception of a few minor things, they did get the bathroom completed. All three of the guys we dealt with were professional, knowledgeable, patient, and were more than willing to explain exactly what they were doing, what they needed, and why there may be delays. They did an excellent job, and we will continue to use them rather than our former handyman! I highly recommend Mini Jobs.

I called David at Mini Jobs requesting some modest repairs in the bathrooms of my condo unit. Specifically I had a leaky faucet sink, a broken ventilation fan, and a toilet that would not properly flush (had the hold the handle down throughout the flush cycle). I found David to be very professional from the very moment he accepted my call. As soon as I called him he was attentive to my needs and began asking very precise questions in order to identify all of the required hardware items. He was clearly trying to save time and money by avoiding the hassle of coming to the condo, scoping the job requirements, and then having to leave again in order to purchase all of the required hardware items. He also asked me to try plugging the fan into a different wall outlet using an extension cord in order to make sure that the fan motor had indeed failed. This was a nice trouble shooting tip which indeed confirmed that the fan needed to be replaced. When all was said and done I emailed David all of this information along with the several detailed photos in the hopes that he could identify and purchase every required item in advance of his visit. He then followed up a with a few more phone calls in order to clarify some additional details about the fan unit and also to confirm the appointment. The handyman assigned to the job arrived several days later as scheduled and completed all repairs in a fairly timely manner. Overall I would highly recommend Mini Jobs and would gladly call upon them again in the future. They are honest, courteous, and very professional. My advice however, is to constructively challenge any requests to troubleshoot things yourself or to take detailed photos in advance as I did. I would respectfully ask if the person requesting the photos will indeed be the same person who will come out to make the repairs. If not will the information be properly communicated to the person assigned to the job? In my case it didn't really pay off since the person assigned to the job did not show up with all of the required replacement items in hand. He had to scope the jobs and then left to purchase the required hardware. The whole idea with the images I sent in advance was to avoid that trip and save time/money. This part didn't quite work out as planned.

The job was done very well.

Mini-jobs is so easy to work with. They come when they say, the work is very well done. We have used them for 3 jobs and have the 4th scheduled.

Called Mr. Wise and he was able to send someone the day after my call to complete the tasks. His employee was very helpful professional. He found that more work was required to install our disposal, went out and bought what was needed. Wa la! Functioning kitchen sink!

The air conditioner is very well installed. The person who came out was punctual, professional and did a great job. I would call on this company again without hesitation.

Minijobs was extremely responsive and professional. We were contracting for the repairs from out of state, which was made more difficult because we had to coordinate with the owner of the neighboring condo as well as the schedules of tenants in both units. After the job was initially completed, we agreed to obtain further repairs based on complaints from the tenant below. Minijobs promptly returned and completed the additional work at a fair price.

It went great -- he did exactly what we needed. He also found areas in the bathroom that needed caulking which we hadn't noticed. We needed the caulking to keep out tiny ants, and since then we have only seen a few, not the swarms we had before the caulking.The one disappointment was that he wasn't able to repair the sprayer on our kitchen sink -- he said we needed to buy a new one. We haven't done that yet but I suspect there is a problem with the hose, not the sprayer. I could be wrong on that.

David and his crew were extremely professional. I was out of the town while they worked and was sent progress pictures on a regular basis. The stairs turned out beautiful. If you need a company that you can trust while you are out of town to do good quality work, then I would recommend MiniJobs. There prices are higher than many other companies, but I did not have to worry about purchasing supplies myself, and David always updated me on the cost.

I was very pleased with them. They gave me a proposal, and the result was very close to the proposal.

Everything went smoothly. The projects were always completed on time and budget. They were flexible in scheduling with my tenants.

Very well. David is quick to send out estimates and return calls. The work was almost not completed on time by a misunderstanding of the date, but David made it happen and the work was completed on schedule.

They were here a long time but never did figure out the problem. They did repair the ceiling and we have not had a leak since.

I love this company. They can do major jobs like renovations or they can do smaller jobs that other companies would typically refuse to do. They will do handyman type jobs or they will do major construction jobs. They are great and we have used them for a while. They have been in business for about seventeen years too. You can even send them emails at minijobs@aol.com to get in contact with them and that is rather convenient.

The handyman who was sent was courteous and prompt. However, when I received the bill from the office, I was billed for an extra hour of work. I was present during the entire time and confronted the owner of the company about it. He feigned ignorance as to how that extra hour showed up on the bill and told me to take off the extra hour. Also, the exercise equipment (which had to be moved) was light enough for one person to move. However, the handyman claimed that he needed the help of an assistant, for which I was charged. The assistant himself expressed disbelief that the handyman would require help for moving the equipment. Obviously, it was a way to stretch the time out, as they were billing me by the hour. I will never use them again!

TO INSTALL THE CEILING FAN FIRST THEY MADE SURE THE WIRING WAS SUFFICIENT. NEXT THEY ACTUALLY CONNECTED THE CEILING FAN TO THE CEILING. ONCE THEY WERE DONE THEY MADE SURE IT WAS STURDY.

BE THERE WHEN THE WORK IS BEING DONE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
