+ -1 moreMedia Calm were a perfect match for updating and fixing our current theater system. I felt very comfortable with their work ethics and after meeting them had confidence that they would be able to fix our system. They spent the major part of the day rewiring and fixing issues that we did not even know existed. After they completed the work, they then spent more than an hour showing us how to work the new system and left us with the ability to feel free to call them if we had any questions. Very nice people.
Description of Work: Steve and Robert updated our current theater system.

Description of Work: I found Media Calm almost by accident when I inquired of a product vendor where I could find their product - they mentioned Steve Person and Media Calm - I called Steve to get the product and then address many problems I had integrating it into my system with a 4 1/2 year old Mitsubishi HDTV that did not want it to work - Steve worked with me over the phone, sent one of his people to help me from 9pm to midnight - I arranged for him to calibrate the audio of a 5.1 system in our family room - Steve and Robert stayed for 4+ hour to get everything right - they calibrated the 2 front speakers, adjusted settings in the receiver, checked levels and positioning of the rear speakers, integrated an existing amp I had unused upstairs into the main setup and then worked through some lip sync problems with the new Universal DVD player - they pulled out other products from their truck and tried a number of possibilities only to find the settings on the player needed adjustment - they took all their extra parts back with no pressure to buy something that wasn't needed - no half-baked effort here - all first class - I expect to receive his speaker measurements and notes from the session soon and he will also provide me some thoughts for next steps. I have been an audiophile of sorts for 35+ years and he is the best I have encountered, extremely highly recommended!

+ -1 moreI was originally referred to Steve by Sumiko, the US distributer of Sonus Faber. I contacted Steve by phone and set-up an appointment to audition the speakers at his home in Atlanta. At the audition, he got me up to speed on the equipment used with the speakers and then let me play cd's I had brought with me. I loved the sound of the Liuto's and decided to purchase them. I returned home, sent him a check and the ordering process began. I had them delivered to my house and received them within two weeks from Steve. Throughout the entire process, Steve was responsive to my inquiries and offered suggestions on how to break the speakers in and adding a subwoofer. He even e-mailed me after I had received the speakers to see if they arrived okay and asked how I was enjoying them. I highly recommend Media Calm as a great place to purchase quality audio gear.
Description of Work: Steve Person of Media Calm ordered and had delivered to my house in North Carolina a pair of Sonus Faber Liuto speakers.
