Come to give estimate and just automatically gave me a job that was gonna cost the most! There was other things he could have done that wouldn’t be so expensive but he just wants to make $ instead of being more affordable.

The work was preformed during a rain storm and should have been rescheduled. A Meter Service Panel with 8 Full circuit breaker spaces and 2 half spaces was specified. Irit requested that the same Meter Service panel installed on our neighbor?s house be used for this job. Instead Terrell McCall installed a Meter Service panel with 4 spaces and 1 half space. The installation of the panel did not conform to NEMA or General Electric installation specifications. At the completion of the job we had a new panel which resulted in the circuit breaker spaces being unusable. Terrell routed the service feed to the sub panel across the area where the circuit breakers were to be installed. He failed to use the wiring gutters that were designed into the panel for routing wires. To my dismay the Electrical Inspector for Gwinnett County did sign off on the installation even though the panel was not installed per NEMA or General Electric installation specifications. This job would not pass inspection in most municipalities that have codes which exceed NEC minimum requirements. The following is Terrell McCall's email response to my letter of complaint: "As you know you reported this work to the county inspectors and it was ruled by them that we did nothing against the National Electrical Code. If you desire to continue with these threats and post anything negative against our record with any organization Angie's list or the Better Business Bureau please not that we will retaliate with a lawsuit of defamation of character "

Response from McCall Enterprises Inc
We are sorry that you feel as if you have been wronged. Yes, this work was scheduled with your utility power company on a day of your choosing because you wanted to be there while the work was performed, and I'm sure you didn't know that it was going to rain that day. We were hired to replace your existing meter/main breaker disconnect switch with a meter main breaker disconnect switch that would allow additional circuit breakers for future circuits. As you know all wiring was existing and our company did not replace or install any new wiring. Wiring gutters are not found in a residential community and does not add curb appeal. As you stated, the job was inspected by the electrical inspector and passed, meeting all local and national electrical codes. We did give you the option of replacing the existing wiring that was installed during the construction of your house, but this would have incurred an additional cost, and would have involved you hiring a dry wall contractor. We are sorry if we have lost you as a customer, but we pride ourselves on delivering professional and quality electrical services.

Mr. McCall was able to come look at my electrical needs promptly, per described above. He was the ultimate professional in his work and his demeanor and conversation. There was attention to every detail about which I had a question and all done in good humor and pleasant conversation, all the while helping to educate me about the particular electrical needs in my home. He came highly recommended to me and I, in turn, highly recommend him to all who need an highly competent, professional electrician. I will certainly have him back the next time I have any electrical needs and know that I can trust him to address them fully and fairly.
Description of Work: Mr. McCall checked several outlets about which I had questions and he fixed a light fixture that was not working. As he did every step from the simplest check to working with wiring he gave me a very clear, concise explanation of exactly what he was doing and why. He was as thorough as I can imagine an electrician being and is without a doubt extremely knowledgeable and competent in his field. He let me know what did not need to be fixed and fixed what needed repair with patience and care. Do hire him without question.
