MASTER POOLS BY ARTISTIC POOLS

We signed on for a custom pool with Artistic in July of 2020. Nearly two years and approaching HALF A MILLION DOLLARS later, we have very little to show for it. In fact, as of today, we are still awaiting completion of our pool. Not even the tiling or interior has been done yet. Additionally: 1. Our front yard was destroyed and has looked like a war-zone, complete with a Porta Potty, for almost 2 years now. 2. Most days it's a ghost town here and weeks have go by without any progress being made. Leaves have continued to pile-up and it looks like a glorified skate-park ramp. 3. Promises continue to go unfulfilled and deadlines are consistently missed. 4. We have followed up with them nearly ever single day -- at times I feel like we're the GC. 5. Issues are escalated to the owner, but that seems to have made little difference over the course of this project. I understand and empathize with the fact that there may be a massive labor shortage -- however, I am not so sure that is the issue here. We have learned through their sub-contractors that there is very little (and poor) communication to them and many of the subs find themselves frustrated and outside of the loop in terms of when and where they need to be on-site or even what the status of the project is. It is clear to me that they do not have the capacity to take on and manage the projects they are selling. We simply want the same level of customer service, quality, and consistency that was promised to us when we signed our agreement. All we want is for this project to be completed in a timely manner. However, if you're asking me what our experience has been as of today -- I'll summary as follows: If there was an option to leave ZERO stars here I would. At this point, I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Their initial price was good and their sales guy was a neighbor to our pool, so we decided to use them. However, throughout the process Artistic Pools was horrendous. I would strongly advise against using them. Their project manager did not competently manage the project, subcontractors, nor the quality. He missed installing a significant drainage solution that was in the contract. The quality of their subcontractor's work was sloppy and poor. We had to repeatedly ask them to come back and fix issues that were the result of poor installment and lazy attention to detail. There is nothing about the experience with Artistic that would cause us to consider them for future work.

They are great! We love to work with them. They come whenever they are in the area since we don't have to let them in the house. They are nice and professional.

Very friendly people at first. I was blown away by the design, but after signing a contract with them in January and paying them a large sum of money, they completely disappeared before finishing the project. I was told the project would be completed in 7-10 weeks. It is now July and our pool is not even close to being finished (which is why I gave the quality rating above as N/A). I never thought this project would drag on indefinitely. They use subcontractors for all of their work. People show up about once every two weeks and work for about 2-3 hours, then leave. The worst part is how they treat you as a customer--you never get a call back from these guys and are left completely in the dark on what to expect. They are unorganized and do not follow any sort of a time line, coming to work when they feel like it (which is not very often). My wife and I had been saving for years and were truly excited to build a pool for our family. We actually thought this would be a fun project that would bring years of enjoyment. Now, instead of having a beautiful outdoor oasis, I am stuck with a yard that looks like a landfill, a construction manager who doesn't return phone calls, and an empty bank account. I have no earthly idea if this project will ever be completed. In my opinion, a true professional simply does what he says he is going to do--these guys are anything but professional and give nothing more than lame excuses for why they don't show up to work when they say they will. They claim to be master pool builders who construct the world's finest pools and treat their customers with integrity--what a bunch of baloney! The only thing they have mastered is lying and taking money from their clients without doing the promised work. It is too late for me, as I have already wasted my money and time, but If you are considering building a pool, do yourself a favor and hire someone else--I sure wish I did.

Every step was -- and continues to be -- painful. Their 10 week estimate is a joke. It took 10 months. One waterfall element had to be rebuilt twice. A second one still isn't working. One repair required draining the pool. They said they would reimburse us for the water and chemicals -- which they didn't. It takes a minimum of three calls even to get a return call from service. And when you do have an appointment, it uncertain when or if they will show up. A supervisor twice changed the design without my approval. I had to hire another company to clean up the site debris. This is a company that cares only about new business. Once they have your money, they are history. The only way we were able to get satisfaction on final issues was to withhold the final payment.

I really wanted to hire them after their great reputation but they must be too busy to follow-up with a project that I thought was large (100k). Now that I have talked to others about my story, I am hearing the same thing. They take an excessive amount of time to put in a pool. I couldn't get them to return my calls before the project started. Who knows what would happen if I had a problem during the project!!

I actually interviewed four companies before choosing this one. Even though they were the second most expensive company I talked to, they did give the best presentation. They are very thorough in checking to make sure everything is in working order.
