LEATHER CREATIONS

While impressed with the apparent quality it was like buying a used car. The sales manager was extremely glib but our salesman was new, very nice, and embarrassed by his boss so we made the purchase. After a few years we started seeing the degradation of the leather in the spot my wife (110 lbs) normally sits about two hours a day. Other than that, the two small dogs use the sofa but do no apparent damage. In 2006 we had a cushion refinished by a person recommended by Leather Creations; this was totally ineffective. By 2008 the leather had degraded so much we had to do something. By "degraded" I mean the white leather beneath the finish was showing through all over the cushion - very ugly. By comparison we have two leather easy chairs used every day for 25 years that are in excellent condition. Before buying a new sofa I checked with the Regional Sales Manager, Dave Delor. I believe he is the same used car salesman we originally had contact with. He blamed our dogs and everything under the sun except their quality although he did mention that the base leather will show through except he made it sound like a good thing (see above). Their leather is unbelievably poor quality. We did have them refinish the 3 seat cushions, $450, good money after bad but they'll last a few years and we'll put a blanket where my wife sits.
