Description of Work: I asked Willie Lawrence to do a combination of remodeling jobs: nothing with electrical or plumbing, just installing a door, closing off two others, and putting in a closet. |He was regularly late to show up or sometimes wouldn't show up at all on a day he said he would. Most days he stayed here for just a couple hours a, spending much of that time talking on his phone, and making multiple trips to Home Depot. I didn't feel like he used his or my time wisely. The project ended up taking two weeks, though probably could have been done in one. |The door he ended up installing is crooked and has a gap around the top. The doors he removed were done well; it's hard to notice they were ever there. The drywall on the closet is dingy looking because he used defective sheetrock (to save himself money on supplies) and didn't sand down the final layer of mud. |Lawrence continually asked for more money throughout the process, even after we'd agreed on a price up-front and I'd paid him a portion of it to start. The way he tried to squeeze more money out of me made me uncomfortable. After I gave him the final payment, he did show up one last time to fix a few flaws I'd found, so I thought that was very responsible.
