They sucked at the job. The firm scalped the lawn and left grass clippings. DON'T use them.

They require that the customer put their credit card on file. They use a lot of people off the street, people that they don't even know, like they just drive around. They don't know what they're doing. I have a surveillance camera and I caught them several times that they blow the lawn and they will say they have completed the job then I would call and say that their job is not yet done. People should know that they are scam. The ones who who were here said they don't even know what their office people look like. They quote a low price and they jack it up once they come out

Overall I feel that my time was disrespected and I was lied to by Lawn.com - Did not show up on the scheduled day with no communication. If you read other reviews, you will find this is a common gap in service from Lawn.com - Account executive assured me twice during the day that the crew would come that day. - When I called the office, they stated the tried to call my husband but he did not answer and the mailbox was full. This is not the case. After I got off the phone with Lawn.com, I called my husband and he did not answer but his voicemail was not full. - Crew wanted to reschedule for 3 days past my original date of service.

They were responsive and cleaned up after themselves- overall good work. I’ll hire again

They were very prompt in estimating and visiting my yard for the first time.

They let me know in advance I am on the schedule and they let me know everything is done and email me my receipt.

I gave these guys several properties of mine for lawn mowing. They over billed me several times, their contractors did a horrible job 2 out of 3 times. I would not recommend them to anyone!

Lawn.com arrived earlier than stated ad the urgency of the project had been explained. The results of their efforts were great. given the height of the grass I knew the price would be high and I was ok with that. I would recommend them to others and I will use them again.

I gave this company 3 chances to come out to my house and start service. Each time, they did not show up. Lawn.com is quick to take your credit card number but is unable to provide the services they promise. No one in the office is able to help. During the week of July 4th, no one answered the phone. I left several messages which were not returned. I suspect that Lawn.com is a labor broker and does not have employees that actually care about their company. Stay away from this company. Don’t waste your time or patience.

Lawn was cut and edged properly and bushes looked neat and cleaned up.

Great. The service is ongoing. He comes every two weeks.

They have your banking account information on file so they take your money when they are finished. Another thing I don't like is they blow everything to the back. My backyard goes up to a school and I have let my back sorta just grow up. They yard looks good when they left. They are a bit more professional.

Not well. I gave the company four chances and they were not able to get it right. They subcontract out their work so there is no quality measures or oversight. I have asked for a refund and filed a complaint with the BBB

They do a really good job, but they sometimes forget to do the hedges that I've asked them to do as well.

I have a fescue lawn and felt the first visit was cut shorter than I like. I called and the next visit the lawn was cut quite a bit longer. But subsequent visits the mowing was full of strips of much taller grass because they were not overlapping in the mowing. I emailed about this. After the third time that the lawn was not mowed properly, I spoke with the gentleman who was there to cut that day. He said that the strips were because I wanted my lawn cut a little taller. I tried to explain that did not have anything to do with the strips of unmowed lawn. After that visit, I discontinued the service.

A little expensive for the size of my yard, I feel.

I'm quite pleased with the job they do maintaining the lawn and trimming the shrubs.

Bait & switch. First they quoted me a low price of $40 per month, mowing the yard every two weeks. Then once they had my credit card information, the cost went to $40 for each mowing. Do not hire this company without a WRITTEN contract.

I was very excited to go home after work on the day they performed service. I came home to a disaster. The lawn was covered with a thick layer of grass clippings, and they had blasted grass clippings all over my young trees and plants. I paid extra for garden weeding, but the weeds were still everywhere. They had been edged poorly, that's it. In the attached pictures (if they attached, angieslist isn't showing them) each of the plants featured had a cedar border surrounding them, separating them from the grass, filled with mulch. They are literally covered in grass clippings. I called the next day to get it fixed and was told (at about 8:30am) that they would need to have their supervisor call me back. 1pm rolled around and I still hadn't heard anything. I called and cancelled my recurring service. They said no one had called me back yet because the supervisor was at the dentist. So there is only ONE person in the entire company who could resolve my issue? Or at least get someone to come back out and pick up their mess? Unacceptable. They cancelled without argument and no followup calls or communication has come out, except for a form letter saying they hope I use their services again. HA! No way.

Bottom Line Up Front for those who don't want to ready all the gory detail: Company lacks in integrity - Do not hire. Scheduled and rescheduled 4 times and they did not ever show up for a single appointment. Their communication was terrible and excuses were best case dishonest, and worst case indicated fraud (i.e. paying for service they had no intent on delivering). Gory Detail: After comparing reviews and prices on Angie's list, I decided to go with LawnService.com (also known as lawn.com). They quickly gave me a quote, took my credit card # and scheduled my first service. I received a reminder that they would be servicing my lawn via email the day before my first scheduled service. The day of service came and went. No one showed up, no one called or emailed. In the meantime, our lawn was too long so my husband mowed the front yard himself that evening out of frustration. I emailed them that evening to which I received a response that stated they weren't able to make it to my house (no kidding, thanks for stating the obvious) and that they were very sorry for the inconvenience and have rescheduled me for the next day. I let the person know that my husband had mowed and to just focus on the trimming, weeding, shrubs etc. The customer service person confirmed that request and said she would communicate it to the team. The next day came and went. They were no show again and once again, I received no phone call or email. I emailed the next day and received the following response: "I am very sorry about the confusion. Our crew did not get the notes about doing the trimming and beds and went by your home and saw that it was already mowed and moved to the next job." I responded and let her know that I was confused as to why they would leave in this scenario. On top of my request the day before which was confirmed as received, we were paying for the the Professional Package so even without the specific request, they still should have attended to the shrubs and weeds anyway according to the package I signed up for. Now, I understand that some of those services won't need to be provided on a weekly basis once under control, but our yard was in dire need of this service as evidenced by warning notice from our HOA that the yard was in need of cleanup (which I told them since day one and offered to send photos, pay extra for initial service etc). That they went to my house, saw the state of the rest of the yard and left anyway is very disturbing. Beyond the fact that they have not done anything in the two times I had been scheduled, I was now worried that even though I am paying for the professional package that they will just show up, mow and leave. So I am faced with either the excuse given was just a lie or that regardless of what level of service you pay for, they show up mow and leave. Neither scenario is acceptable and indicates a clear lack of integrity on the part of the company and crew. The response I received did not address the concerns I expressed and simply stated they had scheduled my service for the next day. I'm sure you are predicting the outcome here....no show AGAIN. I am beyond blown away at the complete lack of follow through with these folks. Again, no notice that day as to the fact that they weren't going to show up. Apologies and promises broken one after the other. I'm done at this point - three strikes and your out. The next day I receive a phone call from the customer service manager who is very apologetic, offers the same bizarrely troubling excuse as last time - they showed up and the lawn looked like it didn't need mowing and left. I discussed with her how that they are basically telling me out loud of their intent to rip me off by not providing the services they promise as part of the package I was TRYING to give them money to provide. She apologizes profusely and begs me to give them one last chance and promises they can be out Monday. I tell her fine, one last shot, but that I want someone higher up to address the concern that the crew would continue to travel to my house and leave if the lawn didn't need mowing and that I wanted a direct response with some reassurance that this will not occur going forward. She assures me that she will communicate my concerns to someone higher up and someone will follow up with me. As I'm sure you can anticipate by now, no one followed up with me AND once again no one showed up on the 4th re-scheduled service date. The day after the 4th no show, I received an email that stated they were unable to service my lawn the day before (again, thanks for stating the obvious...) and that they had rescheduled me for the 12th. I wrote back and told her to cancel the non-service I was scheduled for and to cancel my contract. I received a response that just made me laugh out loud at this point "...The Lawn.com team is sorry to hear that you are canceling your service. We hate to see you go! ...We thank you for being a lawn.com customer and hope that you will give us the opportunity to be your lawn care provider in the future." Listen people, I tried so hard to give you my money, I DID give you the opportunity to be my lawn care service provider, YOU did not take that opportunity...over and over and over again. This was a terribly frustrating experience, to say the least, which left us scrambling to try to get our yard in order before being fined by the HOA as it continued to grow out of control while we waited on broken promises. I'm not sure how this company has so many good reviews or how they even stay in business but I can't recall ever having dealt with such an unreliable and unprofessional company. Customer service and integrity are NOT just telling people what they want to hear and then apologizing over and over again after you don't follow through. Integrity = doing what you say you are going to do.

After several failed attempts at finding a reliable lawn service company, we can honestly say that we've found the solution! Lawn.com and their crew are AMAZING! They do incredible work, on-time, consistently, and at a great price! We're fans, for sure!

Lawn.com and their crew were fantastic! I called on Tuesday after reading other great reviews on Angie's List. They called back right away and set up a time for Friday. Their crew arrived promptly at the agreed upon time and proceeded to transform our entire yard in only two hours (for a very reasonable price). They saved me a week's worth of hard labor and possibly a trip to the emergency room after my disastrous attempts to take care of it myself. They definitely know what they are doing. I would not hesitate to recommend Lawn.com - thank you!

They do a great job! Initial cleanup was fantastic and the upkeep has been great service. The landscaping and yard has never looked better and we are thrilled that we found Lawn.com on Thumbtack. If you have a chance to hire this company for lawn service... HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR LAWN SERVICE!

Lawn.com has earned our business! I'm sure everyone has experienced the "no-show landscaper." That was NOT a problem with Lawn.com. We had called a different landscaper who came out and gave us a quote, but then never showed up to do the work. We called Lawn.com in regards to getting a quote for recurring lawn service. They were very easy to communicate with and their crew did a GREAT job! Our lawn was in bad shape and they did a great job cleaning up all the pine cones and leaves. They did the work we needed within 3 days of me calling and they also did the work for a VERY reasonable price!
