Attached my new mailbox and house #s and all was good. When he was done I asked him to help me install a z-wave light switch that I was having trouble with and he figured it out.

+ -1 moreThe wrought iron railings on my front steps had come loose and separated from the footings. In a couple of spots they had rusted which caused the joint to fail. Tavares came out and repaired them. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations and I would hire Tavares again in a second. Can't say enough great things.

+ -1 moreHe responded immediately to my request that he come out and look at the damage and give me a price for repairing it. Came within 2 hours, gave me a price immediately. A couple of days later, when I authorized the work he showed up as promised, and did the job well. His price was very reasonable, well below previously obtained estimates. All this was very welcome and very impressive because I had been in touch with 4 other welders previously, all of whom priced the job higher, and all of whom were very late getting back to me with estimates.

I will say this about Mr. Lambert: he was punctual, courteous, fair, capable and did a lovely job. Working with him was very agreeable, and we would solicit his services again should the opportunity arise.

They worked us in while they were in the middle of larger and more profitable jobs and made the repair. Price was great, customer service was great and the job was done quickly and expertly.

+ 0 moreI spoke with Mr. Lambert on the telephone and informed him that my mother wanted to replace her mailbox that had been destroyed by a car that swerved too close to the curb and hit knocked her box into the front yard.. Mr. Lambert asked for pictures of the neighbor's mailboxes to make sure that he would give my mother the exact mailbox that was destroyed. I sent Mr. Lambert several pictures of the mailboxes as well as gave him a physical description over the telephone of what mu mother wanted. Mr. Lambert agreed to replace the mailbox and provide her with everything that she wanted on the box for approximately $350.00. i scheduled a time for Mr. Lambert to come to my mother's home and install a new mailbox and secure it in concrete. We agreed that Mr. Lambert would come on Tuesday at 2:00 PM. Mr. Lambert arrived at 8:00 PM after dark and we were not able to see that he did not do the job that he promised he would do. My mother paid him anyway because she was anxious to have her mail delivered after not having it delivered for 2 weeks. The next day we saw that Mr. Lambert did not install the mailbox correctly. We called him and he agreed to come again and fix the problem. He arrived hours late again and refused to correct the problem the way my mother suggested. Instead he made a few minor adjustments but the mailbox did not look the way she wanted it or the way that the pictures indicated. 1. Mr. Lambert was several hours late. 2. Mr.. Lambert did not replace the mailbox the way the customer wanted it replaced. 3. Mr. Lambert did not clean up the small pieces of cement that were left around the mailbox area. 4. Mr. Lambert did not paint the mailbox with paint, he merely sprayed it with black ? that is starting to wear off. Mr. Lambert was polite but we feel that because he had already been paid, he was not going to fix any of his mistakes properly. We will never recommend this company to anyone and now my mother is willing to start over with another company to get the mailbox she wanted the first time.

+ -1 moreI contacted Mr. Lambert when the hand rail broke. He arrived the following day and assessed the damage. He examined the other hand rail as well and stated it was rusting too; however, the original hand rail I reported was worst. I asked him to go ahead and repair both at the same time. He provided me with a very reasonable estimate and began the repair work immediately. Once the work was complete he cleaned up the entire work area. He was very professional and did a wonderful job at a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: One of the hand rails on my front steps started rusting at the posts and it broke away in two different areas. He repaired the rusty posts by replacing them with new metal and repainted them.

+ 0 moreSomeone knocked off our mailbox, clear off the post, the Sunday before Thanksgiving. My mother-in-law and husband called two to three welders 1) an acquaintance who said he would come by to give an estimate the next day and never showed up. 2) one or two others found in the yellow pages (said they were on vacation or did not call back). About a week later I remembered an acquaintance of ours who used to do welding, I called him and he said he would come by to give an estimate. Took two days to give an estimate (Saturday), said he would have to wait until after it rained on Monday. By Wednesday there was no more rain, called him to find out when he would come, he neither picked up my call nor ever returned it. The next day I went to Angie's List, and looked up welding. Found Mr. Lambert with an A report and also the fact that his posting said he would come to me. Called him that morning, said he could come in the afternoon about 2. Called back to say he could be there earlier at 12:30. Got there on time, gave an estimate for $100 and did a great job within an hour. So glad to know some people still want to work. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM!!
Description of Work: Someone knocked off our steel mailbox from its post. Mr. Lambert welded in to places and touched it up with black satin paint as well.

+ 0 moreAfter contacting several driveway gate dealers and getting really high esstimates (none less than $500), I tried to find and independent welder. It seemed like such a simple job - the welds on two places on my driveway gare had broken and just needed to be reattached. I found one young, inexperienced welder who was willing to try, but soon learned that welding aluminum is different that dealing with iron or other metals. I chanced upon Mr. Lambert after seeing his listing on Angie's list. Even though he had no reviews, I called him on a Saturday afternoon because he had a mobile welding service and he could do aluminum. He was a little late in showing up, but he kept in touch by calling me. He set up in my driveway and fixed the gate within 1 1/2 hr. I am completely satisfied with Mr. Lambert's work (and that of his very polite son). He was professional, skilled and polite. he came quickly and his charges were very reasonable. I recommend him wholeheartedly for driveway gate repairs. Since most fences are aluminum, I imagine he can repair them as well.
Description of Work: My aluminum driveway gate broke in two places, making it impossible to use. Mr. Lambert fixed the gate by welding the broken parts.
