Kenny's Odd Jobs

Everything turned out well. They were responsible and it was a positive experience.

We had to reschedule because of his work load, which wasn’t great but once he was here he worked diligently and did exactly what I asked him to do. I am satisfied with his work.

I was trying to leave town and I had tenants living in the location that needed work done immediately. We had scheduled a date for the service. Time went by that day and he didn’t show up. He then called and stated that he had family emergency, which was fine but I needed to know that morning that he wasn’t going to come, instead of way after the scheduled appointment. I received a refund for the big deal.

I used them because it was one of the deals of the month. I think that they sincerely wanted to do a good job. They did fine on the wiring and closet, but the crown molding was disappointing. The price was excellent. I would probably not use them again. I will have to have someone else come out and do the molding, they started, but it was beyond what they could do.

Excellent....He had to return on monday to complete the job, but that was not a problem...GReat job done on this task.

First set appointment, he called at the time he was suppose to arrive to inform me he had Auto trouble. Second appointment he called after the time he was to arrive and said he over slept and wanted tore-schedule. The third and last attempt, he called a hour hour after the appointment time and said he over slept, but was on his way. He never showed up. I called and left a message and never heard back. Needless to say, I asked Angie's list for a refund (which they easily refunded with no hassles).

After multiple attempts to schedule the work and multiple cancellations/postponement, we had the work planned for a Sunday afternoon. Kenny did not show up at the appointed time and I never received a call after trying to contact him. I also had concerns when he indicated needing to borrow basic tools sucha as the nail gun needed, although that was secondary to being stood up.

Kenny completed all tasks quickly but very, very well! He seems to have a wide range of skill and know-how, and he was very diligent about his work. Prompt and responsive, and a courteous happy person! I will definitely call on Kenny again for future work around the house (including bigger more complex jobs)!

This experience has been THE worst of any experience through a person found via Angie's List. Kenny is full of one excuses. I found him through Angie's list big deal program. I called Kenny and made an appointment with him for 2/22/12. I was his first appointment the day of service. I asked him when he would like to start. He told me 9am. I asked him if that was a firm time, as it changes everything about how I start my day and what activities I have to give up. He told me 9am sharp. I double confirmed the start time before hanging up the phone. He showed up over 2 hours late on the day of our appointment with no phone call and plenty of excuses. I had a fairly short list of things to do, one of which was powerwashing the deck-- a service he claimed to be able to perform. So he and his helper got started. It was clear from the beginning that Kenny is has experience with sheetrock mudding. The other things he claims to do well....I am not so sure. And he said that he didn't have his powerwasher with him but that he would come back the next day to take care of that. We have our own powerwasher which needed to have the carbs drained and new gas put in. He told me he preferred to use his own. He came back the next day, but with no powerwasher. I have no idea why he would come back with no powerwasher. He said that he wanted to get here on time and that if he went to Marietta to go pick it up, it would have made him late, so he came straight to the job. Huh? There was one small thing that could use a second coat of mud, so he did that before leaving, promising to be back on Sunday the 26th to powerwash the deck. He never came. I called him this past week and he told me that he would be by Sunday, March 25 (now a month later) to powerwash the deck. I reminded him that the last time he said he would come, he did not. He assured me that he really was coming this time, guaranteed. I just called him to ask him if the washing was still going to happen, as it is now 4pm. He gave me a veeery long story about his truck, a flat tire, and all kinds of things were going to prevent him from following through. I asked him why I had to call him to find this out. He hung up on me. Granted, me voice was terse when I asked him why I had to call him to find out that he was not going to follow through. Up until this moment, I have been more than patient, and have overlooked way more than I needed to. Kenny reflects very poorly on Angie's List.

This company seemed very irresponsible to me. They were scheduled to come out at 9am, but called at 8:20 saying they would not be there until 10. When he did arrive, he just told my husband that they wouldn't be able to do the job because his tools were in the pawn shop.

Kenny arrived on time, worked hard, and was very professional. He asked questions to clarify what needed to be done, and brought up a couple of ideas that I had not thought of. He had all of the proper tools to frame out the walls, hang drywall, and shorten french doors to fit the space. He worked from 9:00am to 8:30pm on a Friday night so he could complete the job. I would recommend him highly.

Kenny & his assistant were timely, polite, friendly & professional!

He didn't show each time we tried to schedule a time to meet at my house ?!?! Frustrating.

Overall the jobs were all performed with expertise and I am more than satisfied.

I am satisfied with Kenny's work. He is responsive to my calls and his job was satisfactory to my standards. He also provide warranty for his work, and he was proficient at his job. I also compare his price to many others, his work is reasonable and shows professionalism. I would certainly recommend him for other people.

Kenny answered his phone on my first try, he scheduled an appointment for the next morning, and arrived on time. He listened to what I needed done to "spruce up" existing lattice and fencing and gave some helpful suggestions. I was on a tight schedule, and Kenny was able to start work that same day, and completed the work in three days. He was courteous, friendly and professional, and he did a great job of cleaning up his work site. I was very, very pleased and look forward to asking his help in the future.

Kenny was a professional from my initial call to him and throughout the process. His estimate was the lowest and his work was solid. He always showed up when he said he would. A minor thing that really impressed me was that he made it a point not to allow his helper to see where my hidden house key gets kept. He's definitely on my list to call again.

He was incompetent in every single area. He took the money and left. I sat down with him on the 22nd to discuss this. He walked off the job and didn't pay his workers. Every time he did a project he would break something else. He installed the floor improperly and busted up the wall at the same time. The quality of the paint job was very poor. My sink area was left as a waste for the paint job. Absolutely nothing was covered. Every time I talked to him to address these issues, he would not change anything. On the 22nd I told him I was not happy and he needed to change the quality of the work, by bringing someone competent, or to return my money. I told him that I needed this done in a week, and I have heard nothing from him. I have given him every opportunity to make this right.

Approximately 8 months ago I had the exterior of my house painted. In november I noticed one of my shutters swinging in the wind. When I tried to re attach it, I noticed it was not attached properly and would require the use of a nail gun to secure it. I contacted Kenny's Odd Jobs for assistance since I did not have the proper tools to secure it myself. Kenny was prompt, curteous and flexible in his approach. He quickly diagnosed the problem and informed me that the shutters had been attached upside down (by the painters). He quickly came up with a solution to re-attach the shutter properly. He also went above and beyond to repair another shutter that he also identified as being installed improperly.

We called Kenny and left him a voicemail message because we needed some repairs done to the molding on the exterior of our house. He called back the same day and we set up a day/time for him to come by to give us an estimate. He showed up, gave us an estimate and we agreed on the day he would come back to do the repairs. On the day of the job, he was professional and arrived on time. We ended up paying a bit more than originally estimated as the damage to the area that needed repair was more extensive than we had thought once the old molding was removed. Overall I would say we were satisfied with the work performed.

He responded realy fast, stoped by and gave an estimation. . After hiring him he showed up on time, perfopmed fast and good quality job, and finisned the work the same day.
