JIM COLEMAN

Jim was referred by my decorator. He does not do the work himself but supervises a team. The team itself was excellent and very professional. They did an excellent job, were polite, trustworthy, and reliable. The materials they used were high quality. They cleaned up after themselves everyday. They readily corrected any mistakes I pointed out. There was some caulk and paint left on the window glass afterward, and although Jim said he would sent someone back to scrape it off, he never did. Also, he used a latex paint over some existing acrylic trim, and only repainted it properly after another subcontractor intervened. Several times I found Jim walking around rooms of my house that were unrelated in any way to the work being performed. The final straw was when he came to my house to collect a small payment. I told him I couldn't meet with him until half an hour later. When I finished my shower 25 minutes later, I came downstairs to find him in my kitchen. (This was after the work was finished and he had no reason to be there.) I had already paid him thousands of dollars by this time and was very offended that he was hounding me for $275 that he'd only just billed me for. The cost was fair for the quality of the work done but I would never hire him again. Also, he was too talkative and pushy.
