Home Depot - Buckhead

We bought a dual fuel Kitchenaid stove from Home Depot in Buckhead. They subcontracted the installation work to AGS. We also had to add a new gas line and upgrade the existing electrical circuit. We scheduled the gas line and electrical work on the day before the stove installation was scheduled. Everything went flawlessly. All work was completed on time and at the quoted price. The only glitch was a missing gas flex line when the stove was delivered but the subcontractor supplied a substitute.

I was appalled by the experience. The representative measured all six windows and then sat down with me to tell me the price. She offered no samples and did not discuss any styles or colors with me. This is the same lady featured on the front of Home Depot's brochures for this service, pictured showing her clients a range of samples, so I don't know why she didn't show me any. She simply measured and gave me a price (which was the highest estimate I ended up receiving for the work). She told me payment would be in full up front, but I told her I wasn't sure about that. She said that's the way Home Depot does it and that I shouldn't trust other companies that do it differently, because they may go out of business and I would lose my deposit. At that point, the visit over, she went to the door, zipped up her bag, and left without saying anything (not even a thank-you or goodbye!). She didn't even look at me as she left, and she slammed the door shut behind her. I could hardly believe what I had just seen. Quite unprofessional. Arranging the estimate was not straightforward, either. I asked about the shutters first in the store, on a day when the blinds representative wasn't working, so they told me to call the 800 number. The person at the 800 number gave my message to another person, who told me the representative would call me. She did, as promised, but why did I have to visit the store and speak to two more people before speaking to the woman who would do the estimate?

I would definitely go back not necessarily because of the service, but because of the selection.

OFFICE DEPOT OFFERS DO-IT-YOURSELF COPIES (B&W AND COLOR) AS WELL AS FULL SERVICE. IF YOU MAKE A LOT OF COPIES THE PRICE GOES DOWN TO 3 CENTS PER COPY WHEN DOING FULL SERVICE. MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR THE DIFFERENT RATES BASED ON QUANTITY, AS IT MIGHT MAKE MORE SENSE TO MAKE 1,000 COPIES INSTEAD OF 900, SINCE THE PRICE DROPS AT 1,000. THEIR STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND WILLING TO SHOW YOU HOW TO WORK THE DO-IT-YOURSELF MACHINES.
