 + -1 moreI consulted Angie's List in a panic for someone to repair my computer. I needed it fixed immediately. I e-mailed four companies close to home that did in-home service and that had all A ratings. Two responded saying they could probably do it quickly, Holland IT actually did. Jason took the time to listen, but did not then waste my time. Other than explaining what he felt he should do, for my approval, he immediately got to work doing it. Since Jason has repaired my computer, he has been more than willing to answer any questions I have had regarding the new set up or other issues. I am also making a list of things I want him to spend some time showing me how to do on the computer, so that I am can be more computer literate. Jason is adept at explaining how to do things on the computer in terms that those of us who are not very computer literate can understand. I would recommend Holland IT Consulting to any individual or any company needing computer repairs or services.
Description of Work: My computer was having a multitude of problems. Because I was in the middle of three Doctorate courses, it was crucial that the repairs be done quickly. Jason assessed the problem, advised me as to what he felt was the best solution, took my laptop overnight, and returned my computer the next night in good working order. I had previously consulted with two other technicians, as my computer problems were increasing. They took a large amount of my time talking about solutions, and although they were sure they found the problem, the problems kept getting worse. Jason backed up all of my Doctoral work, as well as everything else on my laptop and reset it to its factory settings. He then reloaded everything on to the computer. He also located a defective printer port that was causing a problem and a major software problem. When he was done, he showed me how to use everything efficiently and encouraged me to contact him if I had any problems.

 + -1 moreJason offers realistic estimates beforehand and performs work on-time and exceeds expectations. He is skilled at describing things and instructing you in a language that you can understand. He can fix something in an hour that would have taken me days. He is reasonably accessible for emergencies as well.
Description of Work: I needed a new IT system for my small office that enabled wireless networking, remote access and backup of critical information. I also needed basic service on my laptop which had been operating below par. Jason created a system that matched my needs without unnecessary complications or expense. He also resolved all my computer/network issues at my home. He is my ongoing ''IT department!''
