This company is professional and efficient. They did a great job; smooth even paint, without a drop spilled or smeared. I would highly recommended this company.

There's only been one phone conversation between us, everything else has been by email. She has not offered to come see the job. It seems to be one thing after another to resolve and I think that we should be face to face to take care of those problems. She does live far away so I assume that she just wasn't going to come. I got a full refund for my Big Deals. She made me feel like she didn't want to do the job. I received a large number of emails and no phone calls.

I used the Angie's List coupon good for one painter for one day. Madelyn called to confirm the morning of the appointment and arrived as scheduled. She did exactly what I wanted done and brought everything she needed (other than the paint, as we agreed). She was thoroughly professional, knew exactly what neeeded to be done, and was a delight to work with. I definitely will use her again for my next painting job. I have hired many painters over the last 25 years, some good and some less so. I put her at the very top of the list.

Madelyn met me on the 11th of January to look at the garage ceiling. I explained that I wanted to stipple the ceiling to help hide imperfections from the mud work I did previously. She offered to just paint it, but I preferred stippling since I thought it would look better afterwards. She arrived on the 13th to start work, and had finished by the middle of the following week. The job involved applying the stipple and then a coat of paint to help blend everything together. She was careful not to drop plaster on equipment & motorcycles parked in the garage at the time, and cleaned up at the end of each work day. It was probably a simple job compared to her usual work, but she and her assistant did the work professionally and to my satisfaction. I have referred others to her since completion of this job, and would do so again.

Madalyn is conscientious, hard working and did a great job on my porch. I had originally asked her to do the entire porch but after she started working she soon realized and pointed out to me that only certain areas of the porch needed work. Her honesty reduced my cost by half of the original estimate, but gained her a future life long customer. I can highly recommend Highland Paint Restoration!

Madelyn did a great job painting our house. She painted several rooms a few months ago, and then I hired her again to paint some additional rooms. I am pretty meticulous in reviewing her work and it always stands up to my review. She does a great job.

They never came out. The owner requested me to email her for the times that would work best for me, instead of calling. She said they were already booked for a month. I've emailed them in April, May and June, with no word back from them. I wanted the painting done in July. I called and left a message yesterday, asking for them to respond. She called me back and was upset, saying I never emailed them. She requested that I send her all the emails that I've already sent. Her tone from the beginning of the conversation was very rude, and was very close to yelling at me. I let her know I wasn't comfortable working with them, and I was going to call Angie's List to get a refund and she said~ "Okay, people do that all the time." I was shocked.

My experience with Madelyn was great! She is very knowledgeable about the workmanship required to complete work with quality and care. Attention to detail was top class when completing two large rooms with accent walls. Highly recommend if you are in need of someone who will take the time to do quality work!

Overall, we were pleased with the job. We will certainly use Highland Paint and Restoration for future painting needs.

The painters were professional and did a superior job. I was extremely pleased with their work.

The painter arrived a little late due to traffic and the driving distance. The kitchen looks good. If you purchase dark colors, a minimum of two coats of paint will be required. This will cut into the overal time allotment. Therefore, the customer might want to purchase more time. The painter can not paint every room in the house in a single day. The customer should also make sure that the walls are relatively clean. Don't forget heavy items such as a refrigerator will have to be moved in order to allow the painter access to the wall. If you have a bathroom, you will have to turn off the water and drain the tank so you can remove it so the wall behind the tank can be painted.

Madelyn is pleasant and very easy to work with as a person. She gave me a reasonable estimate for painting living room, dining room, three bedrooms, a bath, a sunporch and several ceilings in other rooms (den and kitchen). I was out of town while she did the job and felt confident in her abilities. I had left the check with my son-in-law to pay her when she was done and he paid her before she started which could have resulted in a sloppy approach to the job, but she did a fabulous job in every way.

She came down and she did give me an estimate. I thought the price was a little high. She was very nice and I was impressed with the company.

I obtained 3 bids (all from Angie's List). Theirs was the most complete, although they did, initially, forget to quote the wrought iron. All bidders were within 10% of each other. The other bids were pages long, filled with disclaimers; Highland's was clear and to the point, as was the owner. The other bidders were large companies and I thought I'd get better customer service with Highland, so I gave them the job. I was right. I am a massage therapist and work out of my home. The work crew could not have been quieter (no music!) or more considerate. They started at 9 every morning and worked a full day, often into the evening, and they didn't desert my job to start another one. I was most impressed with their attention to detail on the prep work. The owner, Madeline, worked on the job site every day and closely supervised the quality of the work. She offered good suggestions and my house looks better than I had expected. I am confident that this paint job will last a long time. I have referred this company to several friends.

Excellent job. Excellent cleanup. She performed the job when she said she would. Arrived within 15 min of appointment time.

I got an estimate from this painter and from another company. I felt more comfortable with Highland because I knew that Madelyn, the owner, would be on the job herself. We negotiated a price, and after some delay on each of our parts due to scheduling, she came in exactly when she said she would (to the minute), and got the job done beautifully within the time frame she had quoted (2 1/2 days at the outside). We were able to use our house and do other things while the job was going on, because Madelyn kept all of her materials, etc. confined to the room being painted and there was not a lot of coming and going. It was just a very pleasant experience.

The price they quote me was about$2300. They were entirely professional. It was clear as I spoke to the person that came out that they were used to working with older houses than mine, so my house was an inappropriate house for them to work on.

They were fine. They came out on time and gave us a good quote, but the price was too high by a large margin.

We contacted Madelyn through a coupon that was presented by Angie's list to have 3 rooms painted for half price. While she was here painting our home she also repaired the drywall tape in 2 of our rooms as well. She was very professional, on time and tidy when she left. We have already asked for a quote for some additional work and will be using this company again in the future!!

We had severe water damage in our dining room from a broken upstairs toilet. When the remediation company and sheet rock people left, we had a newly sheetrocked but unpainted ceiling and lots of dirt, knicks and dents from the remediation work in not only the dining room but several other affected rooms as well. The challenge in the job was matching the paint in the dining room to cover the dirt, nicks and dents, without going to the trouble of completely repainting it. She matched the existing paint perfectly so that the repaired areas are completely unnoticeable. She also did an excellent job of painting our living room.

Madelyn was very prompt in coming to my house to give me an estimate. She was very personable and professional.

Madelyn was very responsive with communication and always called back or called me with updates and any questions. She was prompt and punctual and finished the job in a timely manner. She has high standards and was very thorough with her preparation and finish product. The project was completed well and we were all pleased with the results. The quality of her work was exceptional, both in the stripping and painting. I was very impressed by her attention to detail. Got much higher prices from the competition, don't I'd have gotten better work.

Although this job required lots of sanding, the rest of our house was protected from the dust since they tarped off the room. We left a china cabinet and sideboard in the room during the job and they were carefully protected as well. Towards the end of the prep work, Madelyn noticed that the ceiling primer (that I picked) wasn't cutting it so she stepped up to a stronger coating that provided a smoother surface for the top coat. Although this added another day to the job, she did not hesitate to get it right. I can't say enough good things about Madelyn's hard work, in-depth paint knowledge and willingness to go the extra mile. The finished job definitely has Sparkle Factor!

Given the weather and scheduling delays of my own, once work started it went very smoothly. While not necessarily fast, work was well done and meticulous, clean up done daily and completely. Pricing was very reasonable. I would definitely use Highland Paint Restoration again. Next time I would use Madelyn's color experience to help with difficult choices though. Sherwin Williams products were used, and perhaps because of my choice of finishes, some of the workwork, particularily the doors, seems rough, but that could be because of my choice of semi gloss. I work an irregular schedule so most of the time Madelyn and her assistant were in the house alone. I felt very comfortable with this and would have no compuction about doing so again.
