The project was completed in three days when the timeline was five to six. It clearly shows. There was a serious lack of prep work and attention to detail. Madelyn returned to complete dozens of touch-ups, but I continue to find new spots every day that were not properly sanded and spackled in the first place. She complained about how hard the job was and the challenges her crew faced, but no problems were brought to my attention until after they "finished." I hope this was just an isolated incident because I feel totally ripped off paying $3,000 for 400 square feet of a paint job that I have to do all over again.

She had to remove some old wallpaper that was molding and take care of some other mold problems and then paint. The owner came out and did the work. It took about two days because she had to kill the mold and we had to get rid of the odor, let it dry, before she could paint.

Madeline was fantastic. She was timely and very tidy. Most of all I appreciated that when I called her about a touch up, she was quickly back at the house to complete it.

Madelyn's estimate was what I hoped but actually expected it be more costly. She knew the wrong paint had been applied years before and was actually taking on all the soot & mold rather than it being easily washed off. She recommended the best paint for our brick house that is more easily maintained and explained the process for washing, painting and replacing the bad wood plus washing the gutters. First off, Madelyn is just plain cool - laid back but super-professional. She's no-fuss, low-maintenance and on time with everything she says she's going to do. She's a perfectionist - my house looked brand new when she and her guys were done. Prior to painting, every crack was sanded and caulked, window sills cleaned, shutters sanded, two new soffits installed (she spent 4 hours looking for perfectly smooth plywood), pressure washed the entire house including gutters and downspouts, even removed my awning to get at a hidden area that needed scraping and sanding. They covered all the windows with plastic to protect them while spraying the paint, even covered my car to protect it from micro-splat, then went back over the window sills and shutters. I'm thrilled: great experience start to finish and very fair price for all the work.

Very well, and the owner, Madelyn, did the work herself. She arrived punctually for the initial appointment to give a work estimate. After her proposal was accepted for the job, she completed the work needed as scheduled, did a great job, and purchased the paint needed for job.

We hired Madelyn to help with various interior painting projects in our 100+ year old home. I was immediately impressed by Madelyn's professionalism when she came to give us a quote. She was prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. Madelyn's work matched her initial, professional impression. All work was impeccable, and she was open to fixing any areas of concern immediately and completely. She was also approachable and communicative throughout the process. I would hire her again in a heart beat. As an aside, I was impressed with Madelyn as a female business owner in a largely male-dominated field. She did not ever mention anything about this to me, but I would guess that there aren't a lot of female painting entrepreneurs out there. In this context, Madelyn is all the more impressive!

Madelyn worked hard every day and got my house into shape. She is pleasant to have around and I felt as if I could trust her. I even gave her a key to my house for the duration. Having her around working was not invasive like some contractors are. She even came and did a few extra things for me that were not in the original estimate.

Fabulous! Madelyn responded quickly to my request and did all the work herself. She has had lots of experience and is very competent. She painted the entire exterior of my house 7 or 8 years ago and I was delighted to find her again.

Madelyn was easy to work with and very professional. She wasn't the cheapest quotation we got for the work, but the price we paid was well worth it for the quality of work and professionalism of service. When we had a minor issue crop up several weeks after the work was completed, it was addressed immediately.

I have virtually no complaints relative to this job. After delaying this job for years, I was happily pleased to find that my anxieties were without basis. Madelyn came in, gave me her estimates and returned in short order to complete the job. There were a couple of followup details which were also addressed in a timely manner. I was particularly impressed with Madelyn's attention to detail. I will be happy to use her services again.

Madelyn had done extensive work for me in the past, painting the entire interior of my home, so when it came time to have a few things done to put the house on the market this year, it was a no brainer to look her up again. She is easily accessible by phone and email, flexible in work hours, trustworthy with my home and pet (no worries leaving my house in her care while away at work), respectful of cleanliness, and isn't satisfied until the job is done right. She's quite a perfectionist. She supervises any helper she has very closely, making sure they treat my home as she would want hers treated as well. When a color I chose for the bathroom came out looking odd, she was quick to insist that we choose another color and get the look that made sense, at no additional cost to me. This job was taken care of thoroughly and had the house in tip top shape to sell. I'd call Madelyn again in a heartbeat!

Estimate was completed on a timely basis. After waiting for a spell of sunny weather, the surface was prepared one day, painted the next. Madelyn obviously took pride in her work - she went over some spots several times until she was satisfied with the results. This was a small job, but she gave it her full attention. We were totally satisfied.

Contractor was always prompt. Site was cleaned up extremely well after job was finished. Painting finished on time and looks great. We added additional projects and the contractor completed them very quickly. Contractor kept all work within the quotes given. Great job.

Madelyn and her crew pressure washed the house thoroughly before they began, including cleaning an old concrete porch that I had long ago given up on. It now looks great. They then thoroughly sanded and otherwise removed defects in the old paint and prepared the house for the new paint, replacing rotten wood as they went. Then they painted in record time, doing an excellent job. I got excellent advice as to color, too. I asked them to match some of my old colors and they did a perfect job of that as well.

It's a one-person operation. It's not a big company and she is excellent. She is very honest and I just like dealing with her.

It went very smoothly. Madelyn was extremely helpful and was in constant communication with me throughout the project. The work was done professionally and in a timely fashion. Cleanup after the project was also done well. I would highly recommend this company and plan to use them again for future projects.

I purchased an historic Victorian home several years back, and wanted to give it a new paint color. After selecting the colors, I chose several painters listed on Angie's List for quotes. The prices were fairly close for all three of them, but I felt that Madeline at Highland Paint Restoration (which was a much smaller company than the other two) would give my home the individual attention that it needed. Since my older home required more detailed painting techniques that the typical paint job, I just didn't want a large painting company to come in and efficiently throw paint on it as fast as they could. I wanted someone who would take their time and do the job right. Madeline also gave me good suggestions that the two larger painting firms did not. The paint job and plaster repair went well. They did a beautiful job and several neighbors told me how great it looked. And just as I thought Madeline did give me the individual attention that I was hoping for. When I called her after hours one day with a concern that I had about the job, she immediately came over that evening and helped resolve the situation. I doubt that the two larger firms would have given me that kind of service after hours. I highly recommend this company.

I contacted the owner (Marilyn) and arranged for her to stop by in order to see the property and provide a quote. A few emails and phone calls later we arrived at a price and date for her to complete the work. Madelyn arrived on time on the scheduled date. She immediately began focusing on how to match the color of the paint in my home. I was impressed at how hard she worked on this part and frankly didn't expect she would care as much as she did. There were various color shades on the paint chart and it was not easy to select the right pigment. It's not as easy as people think especially after sunlight has bleached the paint in your home and the color has naturally faded over time. Be that as it may Madelyn was determined to match it and treated the decision as if she were selecting paint for her own home. She ended up making at least 2 trips on that day to the local Sherwin Williams before finally nailing down the correct pigment. She did a great job and the room looks great. Overall I was quite pleased with the job she did and I would not hesitate to have her paint my entire condo in the future.
