Its been good. They are inexpensive. Its pretty quick and thorough.

They were here 2 weeks ago to do my yard work. I would give them an A rating and I will use them again.

Three days after completion of the paver path it rained and a major portion of the path washed out. Brandon’s contract stated that the path was under warranty for four years assuming the path was not misused (it was not used at all in the three days). Brandon refused to comply with his warranty and refused to discuss the situation until we threatened legal action. When he finally engaged with us, we agreed, in good faith, to pay for materials if he would repair the path. However, after agreeing to terms via email, Brandon refused to negotiate a simple contract that reflected our agreement, and has since refused to respond to us or to fix the path. His attorney also ignored our efforts to reach a reasonable agreement. We are now filing a legal claim to recover our cost to have the path repaired. If you are looking for a landscaper that will deliver quality work, stand behind their work and honor their contract, then do not hire GrassRoots and Brandon Chonko.

We hired Grassroots to increase the curb appeal of a home we were putting on the market. Brandon came out to give us an estimate and fit us into his schedule quickly (in less than a week). The work was completed in 1.5 days and looks great.

First the positives, Brandon and Patrick are both outgoing and quick to respond to calls/emails etc...They also provided me with a number of pointers for other landscaping questions I had. They started when they promised, and got the job done quickly. However, they moved through the project too quickly and didn't pay enough attention to detail. The stone wall started off well for the first layer or two, but then they started using way too much mortar for the wall and didn't pack the stones tight, which made it look sloppy. They didn't even acknowledge the problem until I called them out on it. They attempted to fix it, but there was little that could be done. Afterward they failed to remove a good quantity of the debris, and claimed it would cost additional. The patio turned out OK, except for footprints in the finish and indentions which caused it to look spotty. We brought up things we were unhappy with multiple times, and instead of acknowledging our concerns, they argued.
