Choosing Gosmart is more like choosing to gostupid... OMG...it took 2 visits and an hour and a half of tearing my dryer apart to tell me that I need to hold the button down for 5sec as there is a child protection lock set on the dryer. We bought this Bosch dryer used and don't have the manuals. He first came out Friday for a $50/service charge and told us that we need to get the electrical outlet repaired because dryer wasn't getting enough juice and said "don't worry about the service charge because if fixing electrical outlet doesn't repair your dryer that $50 will go towards your repairs if I have to come back". Meanwhile now I need an electrician and spend time finding one to get the outlet replaced for $200 which did not effect the dryer at all. It still wouldn't start. I call GoSmart back, same guy comes out again and he is supposed to be the "Bosch" expert. GoSmart says that's why they hired him. After an hour and a half of tearing my dryer apart he finally figures out it's the child safety lock setting in the computer and he was so proud of himself for figuring that out and all I have to do is hold the start button down for 5 sec or turn off the child protection lock. Now he did that Hurray..but...all for $250.00's Excuse me... When I hire someone who claims they can repair Bosch equipment and are supposed to have some expertise is it wrong to assume they would have spent any time reading the manuals on these things and understand the settings in the computer. While he's here I'm googling online trying to figure out how to get around the child safety lock. $200 on top of the $50 I already paid him and the $200 to repair my outlet. $450 for a dryer I paid 150 for.. He says it doesn't matter what he does he charges $200. Be aware of that..it doesn't matter what he does he charges $200. and will argue with you regardless. He wouldn't give me an hourly fee. Finally after arguing with him for 10 minutes he "graciously" took $150 and that is only because of the $50 I paid the first time. IMO If he had really known what he was doing and how to repair a Bosch it would have cost me $50.00's. He would have checked the settings first if he was at all versed in their functions because it was obvious that the machine still had power. I would have been glad to look stupid for that $50.00 service charge but I am really angry about paying $400 to educate an "expert" on the Bosch settings.

Tech was on time and very friendly. Listened to me and understood why I was hesitant to repair. He assured me that the fix was simple and that there was a lot of life left. Was quick, reasonably priced on the money with diagnosis.
Description of Work: Diagnosed & repaired washing machine that wouldn't drain or spin. Replaced the lid switch.
