Get Organized Y'all

Lindsey is an incredible coach! I tried to use YNAB a couple of years ago on my own and gave up pretty quickly, because I felt overwhelmed by it. Working with Lindsey helped make this tool something I can’t live without now! Lindsey’s guidance through the ideology behind it and how to set it up so it would work for me was so helpful! She is a thoughtful and patient coach who provided the exact direction I needed to make budgeting a part of my everyday life! I am no longer living paycheck to paycheck and have increased my savings since starting this journey with her. I’ve told all my friends about how amazing Lindsey’s service is, I highly recommend her budget coaching – it has changed my life!

When our landlord of 7 years decided to sell the house, he gave us 60 days to move -- on December 15th no less!!! The task of paring down what had become two merged households and a business-brought-home seemed not only daunting, but nearly impossible. Lindsey helped me put everything into perspective and helped me separate the emotional attachments (and sometimes guilt) for things I was holding on to but no longer needed or were mentally weighing me down. Although the process is ongoing, I have been able to merge and downsize into one household's worth of things we love and pass along or sell the rest. And I've reduced the business furniture and equipment down to a desk and few boxes of useful supplies. Our home now feels live-able and not like a storage unit. I can't thank Lindsey enough for helping me over the mental hurdles.

Having a dream is hard work. When your dream is to leave your 5 bedroom 3 bath 2500 square foot house and move into a travel trailer so you can travel the USA...it felt like it was impossible. Enter, Lindsey at Get Organized, Y'all. She worked with my husband and me separately and jointly. She provided a safe, comfortable space for us to articulate our dreams for why we wanted to get organized. As we worked through the process, when we would get stuck, she gently reminded us of our goals and kept us moving forward. Lindsey helped us see that each item we owned, if we didn't love it, actually felt like a weight. This process really taught us the value of what we owned and changed how we wanted to live. There is absolutely no way we could have achieved our dream without Lindsey. We will forever be grateful for all of her help!!

I confess that I began the KonMari process thinking I was just going to declutter a bit. I truly underestimated the impact this process, led by Lindsey, would have on my life. Lindsey first asked me to describe my ideal lifestyle – what did that look like? How did it feel? What in that day would bring me joy? We then drilled that down to my desire to create a home for easy entertaining, filled with peace, with room for a treasured collection, and not cluttered with decisions to make. Throughout each category we worked through, Lindsey helped me to hold on to that vision – curating my possessions in a way to fit my desired lifestyle. With each category we worked through, relief washed over me. Though I have never considered myself to be a cluttered person, I had no idea how much the “stuff” in my life weighed me down. I found myself going to sleep more easily, sleeping more soundly, and feeling the anxieties of my life begin to calm. I now truly had the space to think, to breathe, to not be overwhelmed by the need to make one more decision in the day. We tackled the hardest category, sentimental items, and Lindsey was a remarkable support. She approached this category with respect, sensitivity, and care to help me dig through over 60 years of family photos, inherited possessions, and sometimes painful memories. I now truly know what I have, cherish those items, and don’t feel overwhelmed by the boxes that had collected in my attic. Several months beyond this process, I am proud to say it has been very easy to maintain. I have more time for reading, cooking, and spending time with my friends – the things that bring me true joy.
