Service tech explained everything he did to units

I have a service contract with Estes. Whether it is part of the semi-annual service or repairs I have always received courteous and professional technicians.

Best estimate, great service, all Dekalb Co paperwork cleared inspection and they help me obtain a $400 rebate for GA Power in a 2018 incentive.

Great! Had 4 price quotes for a replacement and they were a good price and good to work with so we chose them and are glad we did!

Initially the primary source could not be found; the line is 300 feet. I had to bring in a separate “leak detective”, yes a specialty leak detection business. Estes returned in very short order and repaired the leak. Professional, knowledgeable, personable, responsive.

Was sold a maintenance plan that I never used

Very well. I was having the biannual inspection done of a system that Estes installed. I have had good customer service on each occasion and am extremely happy with the system they installed, which was a difficult job (new duct work on an older home as well).

We had a yearly contract with Estes. We actually had an emergency call because our AC stopped in the summer. They came the first time and said since I had not turned the AC off, it was frozen and they had to come back. Was charged for that. They came back and said it was a freon leak, which was not fixed. They charged me to put a lot more freon in it so it would run. They wanted to come back a 3rd time to run a leak check or price a new machine. I would have liked for all of this to be done in one visit. I also have tried contacting them to cancel our contract, and I am still being billed.

In my experience, Estes technicians have been consistently awesome for about 15 years. Polite, neat and tidy and efficient

Everything was great. The Technician communicated well both before and during the visit. He explained everything using plain language and provided suggestions on maintenance I can perform to keep the system operating.

Diagnosed and completed the work quickly

They are full of promises, fail to deliver results (i.e,, don’t show up for appointments or show up with out the necessary equipment ), give great apologies, then fail to deliver again- i.e., no work/results again. And I mean failed to show up for the appointments again! This was for a pre-paid scheduled appointment for a simple maintenance/service visit (and they been here before) - nothing complicated. They failed to make it here 3 times, but gave me 3 different excuses each time. Once the tech got tied up on another job. I understand how that can happen so I rescheduled. But for the rescheduled appointment, the tech didn’t have the proper ladder. Then the next time, he didn’t have a coworker with him who is supposed to assist because the fan/blower is on the roof (the reason for needing the ladder). So he brought the latter but not a second person to assist him with it. What’s the point?? Needless to say, I took off work each time to accommodate the appointments, and each time they failed to get the job done. I do not recommend Estes.

I have scheduled the service. It hasn’t been done yet. But I have used Estes for several years and in the past I have been very pleased with their work, price and professionalism.

I've used Estes previously and was impressed with their service. Unfortunately can't say same this time. Came back from a trip on Friday to find a/c inop - called Estes (it was in mid-high 90's in GA) - was more than willing to pay for "extra" service over weekend but lady on phone was less than interested in the immediacy factor. Service scheduled for Monday - tech came out - clogged drain/pipe - supposedly cleaned and said I also needed coil replaced - they would have to order part. Almost $400 for this visit and it would be $700 or so for coil installation. Unit wasn't running at full steam when tech left and stopped completely after approx. 1 hr. Decided to call another company in for verification that these were the issues. That company came in - (again - clogged pipes -did Estes not clean them?) Cleaned pipes and for half the price has been working fine ever since. I've tried several times to find an answer to my questions ( why did it cost double; second company obviously cleaned pipes so what did Estes do and was the coil just an up charge?) It's now been heading into three weeks and still waiting for response from Estes. I would be very cautious after this experience doing any business with Estes.

Really great, I have been satisfied with their services over the last several years. They installed the HVAC in my condo about two years ago and I get the service package annually. They check in on my plumbing and electrical and alert me to potential issues. They have been awesome about arranging multiple specialists to come see me on the same day so I don't have to take additional days off of work- they are polite, thorough and take the time to educate me about the service/product.

My heat pump had a Freon leak. The technician discussed the options. I later decided to replace the unit. Estes did the work. I have used them for many years. I have been very happy with their service.

Technician came on time, finished all work and made a necessary adjustment to my thermostat.
