Description of Work: One of our furnaces wasn't heating. Serviceman found the problem immediately. Bad thermocouple, part was replaced and system is heating properly. Have used Estes Services for many years. They are always VERY professional, clean, polite and well trained.

Description of Work: Since my daughter and her husband are expecting, I gave the gift for Christmas of duct cleaning for their 60 year old house. They have a two story, 2 furnace home.

Description of Work: The Tech who came to my house, was rude and not informational. He looked at our existing unit for ten minutes and came back into the house. he gave me the results before sitting down He said we needed a new system and refused to detail the cost or the parts, etc. He quoted me $5000. and refused to detail the costs nor requirements for the job. He was treating me like a dumb blond. I am blond but far from dumb. He did leave a card, This inspector charger $79 for the estimate.

Description of Work: Hit or miss is the best way to describe Estes. I had a service contract with them for several years and in the beginning service was great. Every six months the same technician came to our house and inspected our system. He was friendly and overall pleasant to deal with. I am not sure if the company is growing too fast or what is going in on but my last few experiences were the exact opposite. I would have a new technician at my house every time and each good tech would be followed up with a bad one. By bad I mean unfriendly, difficult to deal with, and unwilling or unable to describe problems in a manner easily understood. In fact, when I called to cancel my service agreement Estes saw who visited my house and admitted that his customer service skills were lacking. Why have this person in the field? During my years with Estes I had one emergency when my a/c went out during a 100+ degree heat wave. As a service contract holder you receive priority service…my issue was on a Friday afternoon and the first Estes was able to get to my house was Tuesday. What is the point of priority service if it takes four days? Once again, I think this company might just be growing too quickly.

Description of Work: I use Estes for my regular HVAC maintenance. I have a coolant leak and they were able to get someone out to refill the tank and to schedule someone to come out and quote a new unit if one is required.

Description of Work: I've had an annual contract with Estes for many years and am very please with their service. The annual fee is $149.00. They come in the late winter/early spring to check my air conditioning system and in the late summer/early fall to check my furnace. These are covered under the annual fee. If I have a problem that needs attention, I am put on their preferred list because I have a contract with them.

Description of Work: After a routine visit for preventative maintenance on my HVAC units, Estes recommended updating/upgrading the insulation in my attic and crawl space. The technician asked if I had high power bills (which I did) and said he could see big opportunities to add insulation to and seal areas in my attic and below the house in the crawl space. He also made me aware of a rebate plan through Georgia Power that would refund $700 of the expense. I scheduled the work and had it completed.

Description of Work: Well, my initial call was for service of my heating unit (no heat). It appeared the builder incorrectly installed the heating unit (a/c worked fine). FYI: Estes did not install the HA/C for the builder. When Estes came out, they told me that the builder incorrectly installed the heating unit. The first visit took about 2 hours but the repairman did not charge me but sold me an annual service contract for $170. I called the second time because I was not getting any heat. The second service visit took about an hour and was receiving heat. Estes did not charge an additional fee. I still have problems with my heating unit and I will go to the builder's subcontractor, who install the unit, for resolution. When Estes visited my home for the semi-annual visit in April to service my A/C (which I have not had any problems), the serviceman (same man that came out the first time) did minmum work. Although I did not pay a lot for the service calls, I do not feel they did the work I initially called for them to do.

Description of Work: I signed up for a yearly maintenance contract for my heat & ac and had a whole house dehumidifier installed. I recently purchased a ranch home on a crawl space and was in need of a dehumidifier. Estes responded quickly, and informed me of my options, the costs associated with each option, and the sales person was extremely knowledgeable. Once the contract was signed and the install was scheduled, the Estes team came on time to my home to install the dehumidifier and advised me on working the unit and let me know how best to maintain the temp in my home thru the dehumidifier and AC unit working together. I additionally had a new digital/programmable thermostat installed and all work was done in the single visit.

Description of Work: Estes installed a Carrier Infinity system in our home to replace the original A/C. We got four estimates and Estes was significiantly higher. I wanted to use Estes due to they put a system in our previous house and we were very impressed with them. We asked everyone we could find trying to find an excuse to use Estes. One expert we talk to explained to me that the installation is almost as important as the equipment itself.

Description of Work: I was having problems with my A/C at the time. So I call Estes to come out and take a look at it. They told me Tuesday that they will send someone out too take a look at it for me. He ask me what day would be good and I said Saturday. He told me what time that he would be their and he came around the time that he said he would be. They sent out a technician too take a look at it. It was"t just the A/C that wast working he found out that my furnace also needed too be replace. He was very kind and polite to me. He also took the time too explain everything too me and that was very important too me.They also sent out a salesman too let me know how much everything would cost me. And I must say that I was very surprise of the total that he gave me.It was reasonable I do believe.

Description of Work: Ran lines for five new HVAC vents from existing unit in unfinished basement. They were $300 under other bids, gave better long-term advice on what was needed now and what could be done when the HVAC unit needs to be replaced (2-4 years from now). Also advised that a bathroom vent would be needed for a project planned for later on and did that work as well.
