About us

Performs a variety of standard to moderately complex technical tasks related to installing, maintaining and repairing heating, cooling, ventilation and related systems. This position is located in the Southwest Atlanta area. Please do not have a far of a commute and the selected candidate must be ready to start immediately. THERE ARE STRICT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - CONSIDERATION WILL ONLY BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES THAT MEET QUALIFICATIONS. Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities: Investigates problems and performs repairs on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating, cooling and ventilation systems. Performs preventative maintenance on various mechanical and electrical equipment in heating and cooling systems. Monitors and inspects heating and cooling systems to ensure continued proper operation. Locates, picks up, and delivers parts required for department needs. Assists in monitoring the work of lower-level HVAC mechanics by providing instruction and training, serving as information resource and reviewing completed projects. Checks and changes air filters regularly. Assesses drain problems and performs any needed repairs. Installs humidifiers into the system and connects water and drain pipes. Determines the amount of airflow required to keep carbon dioxide at a safe level; ensures this level is maintained. Minimum Requirements: Requires basic knowledge in a specific area obtained through training after high school and TWO YEARS ON THE JOB HVAC EXPERIENCE; a valid Georgia driver’s license. Working Conditions: Physical effort required involving long periods of stooping bending and lifting with routine discomfort from exposure to less-than-optimal temperature and air conditions. May involve dealing with unpleasant situations such as heights, exposure to electrical power, hazardous conditions and contagious diseases. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $18.00 to $25.00 hour

It was supposed to cost a nominal fee for a new furnace under a home warranty. If it was free, it was too much. Their incompetence was exceeded only by their dishonesty. They did not get the required paperwork and code work; they didn't properly permit.
Description of Work: I used Essential Heating & Air Conditioning for a new furnace.

They have also come out in the past for other minor repairs. I like that I just pay the yearly fee and I don't have to worry about things getting fixed. They always come right out and fix whatever needs fixed for no extra charge. They do charge if something major like the compressor go out but then it would just be for the part. They don't charge a service charge. They take really good care of my heating and A/C units. They are a honest and knowledgeable company.
Description of Work: They change filters on my heating and air conditioning unit every 6 months. I pay a yearly charge for service and repairs.
