Description of Work: Kitchen remodel design. Our kitchen was in desperate need of a redesign. The large layout was un-functional with a lot of wasted space and little usable storage. Dawn is amazing! She took my ideas and designed a great kitchen for our family of 5. She was able to transform my ideas into workable spaces and although she was always guiding me I never felt totally "led". Do's: Pictures are worth a thousand words! Spend some time looking through magazines and online getting ideas so that you have pictures to show a designer. Just talking about your ideas may not translate well.

+ -1 moreWhen the carpet and a section of old marble tile was removed, Terry Kitts could see that the floor next to wall of stairwell to basement was not level and upon inspection of the basement, he could tell that someone had moved a support post to make easier access to laundry (but not good for support of flooring). He was able to get metal post to replace and made the floor in den secure. With a 55 year old house, we had no idea what had been moved around and changed. Fortunately Terry knows how older houses are constructed. Dawn Landau, the designer, went with us to select slate for the flooring and the random design which worked beautifully in the space. Dawn also recommended the paint colors and went with us to purchase furniture and accessories for a totally redone room that we have enjoyed from the day if was completed. It was as pleasant as any remodeling experience could have been and we are planning to have them do our bathroom in the future.
Description of Work: Remove and replace existing wall to wall carpet in large den with stone, prime and paint old pine paneling and ceilings/trim, install new ceiling fan. Design of space and selection of tile also assisted in furniture/accessories selection and placemnt, suggested paint and trim colors.

Dawn Landau, co-owner, real estate agent and lead designer, assists in home evaluation to determine whether to renovate or buy another property to get what you want at the best value. If renovation is the best option we offer turn key renovation services. Custom home renovations, kitchen remodels, bathroom renovations & other home improvement services.
We do not do landscape design but will colaborate with the landscape folks to provide a cohesive project. At this time we do not offer handyman services. Our smallest project price is around $12000.00
