I've been with Earthlink for about 8 years for a bundle of phone and internet. I get DSL for a few hours a week on Sunday's. More during the day, but I work and it's never there in the evening. Complaining about this, they insisted it was the router and sent me a new one which tied me to a longer contract with them. It didn't help. Before Christmas (2012) my phone went dead. I figured it was a glitch, but it was still dead after Christmas when I returned from travels. Using an old Tracphone, I called them, but after waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes all my minutes were gone and I had to give up. I bought a Net 0 phone and 300 minutes and tried to called Earthlink again. They kept me on on the line as they did line checks, had me unplug, and then replug things. The decision was that there was nothing wrong with my lines to my house. They would do something about it, they said, except I was out an hour of minutes. A 2nd call went exactly the same as the first--same decision, same loss of minutes. 3rd call--yep, the same, except I was on my second set of 300 minutes by now. FINALLY, one month later, a phone guy comes to check the lines. "You have no signal coming to your house," he says. Funny, that's not what Earthlink said THREE TIMES in three weeks. This guy called AT&T and I was on withing two days. I called Earthlink and asked them what they were going to do for me after I paid for no service for a month. After a while, the rep said he'd give me credit for one month, but I'd still have to pay the taxes. What! "So I pay taxes for something I never got!" I exclaimed. "Yes," he laconically answered. Taxes are $30 and I was credited $45. Did I mention you have to call India to talk to a rep? What do they know about what's going on with the lines of my house? Obviously, nothing. Often I have a difficult time understanding them. Who do I switch to? No one else seems to have any better of a reputation. I'm tired of going to the library every weekend for WiFi.

I have had no problems with them at all. The only thing is that they are a little high, but I am not sure what other people pay.

People PC Online does not have a very good customer service department and they were not very helpful when I was having internet problems with my computer. In fact, The Geek Squad helped me solve my problem. People PC had me routed to talk to someone from India and their was a terrible communication problem. I finally said thanks and hung up. I was being charged monthly.
